My family of two adults and three teenagers took a walking tour of Amsterdam with Sebastian in February 2025. Before the tour, Sebastian was very easy to communicate with and flexible with the arrangements. From the start of the tour Sebastian made an effort to understand what we were interested in and what type of tour we would like. He gave us a good mix of local knowledge, history, culture and interesting facts. The tour covered a lot of ground but moved at a comfortable pace. Our kids needed a food break before the planned stop and Sebastian had no problem changing things around to keep everyone fueled up. I had a good time with Olga on my personalized tour and I discovered not only places, but a lot of the history I would have known nothing about otherwise. Olga explained everything well and in an engaging way that I was able to remember and rave to friends about. We had a lovely morning with Olga. Anyone who likes cookies as much as us (and knows the best place to go in Amsterdam to get them) was always going to be a hit! Olga clearly loves Amsterdam and her enthusiasm for the city made it a most enjoyable 3 hours. We wanted to find out the background to the city as well as what to do and where to eat during our stay and she didn't let us down! After our walk we spent the next 3 days doing all the things Olga recommended and this certainly made out trip very special. Ich muss diese Tour wirklich empfehlen, es ging nicht nur um das geschichtliche Amsterdam. Wir konnten Marten alles Fragen, ob gesellschaftliche Entwicklungen, Architektur. Tommi met us in the morning, asked us what we had going on that day, and customized an all day walking tour with us. He gave very generously of his time, was extremely knowledgeable about the city, and made really wonderful selections for things to take us to. I cannot recommend him highly enough. If you are interested in history and learning more about Dutch culture you will not be disappointed. He also knew a lot about architecture, and while we didn't ask for this in advance, we were super happy to get to learn about the history of many of the buildings and the architectural tradition here. What's more, he gave us homework for things to do in our trailing days in the city that weren't the main tourist things to do. 10/10 with great enthusiasm from our whole group. On a Thursday morning about 8.45 am my husband incorrectly booked a three hour tour with a cheese tasting with Christa for 10am that morning. This booking was meant to be for Saturday at 10am. Just prior to 10 am, after a communication from Christa, the error was realised and it was requested that the tour be rescheduled for any time at her convenience over the weekend. In addition, we said that we recognised that her time had been wasted and were willing to reduce our tour to 1.5 hours or even less. She was unwilling to do this. The exchange was unpleasant. She was angry and felt the request was unreasonable as she would be potentially losing a 1.5 hour opportunity for another tour. My husband booked the tour with another guide and after that Christa contacted us to say that she was available for the Saturday tour. Because of the unpleasant exchange we decided not to go ahead with Christa on the Saturday. With Locals gave us a partial voucher towards the payment we made with Christa and we are grateful for that. We don’t know how good she may have been but we do know that she was uncompromising and rigid. Cancelled Tour

My wife and I are thinking of moving to Amsterdam so our focus was on getting local knowledge on neighbourhoods. Carolina was fantastic on this and she gave us an in depth look on them. She is very familiar with Amsterdam and gave us insights on our primary purpose, and took us through some beautiful spots that aren't really apparent to tourists and maybe even some locals. We had booked a 3 hour tour with Estella to visit Amsterdam, the tour lasted longer and she did not mind. She was extremely knowledgeable, witty and warm. We walked around many of the streets, canals and neighbourhoods of Amsterdam and she also showed us some of her favourite hidden gems. She treated us to some delicious chocolates towards the end of the tour, which we thought was so kind and thoughtful of her. We highly recommend a tour with Estella! Wonderful

Since I had never been to Amsterdam before, and only had a day and a half to explore the city, I decided it might be good to begin my visit with a guide to give me an overview—-and Estella did just that! We spent 3 hours walking around and by the end of it I had learned something about the economic, political and religious history of Amsterdam, and its physical layout, and was much better prepared to take advantage of the time I had the following day to explore by myself. An einem Cafe mitten in der gut besuchten City trafen wir Anna und die Tour mit ihr startete sogleich durch. Zielsicher führte sie uns aus dem Gewühl in die ruhigen Bereiche von Amsterdam und erzählte uns interessante Geschichten und Anekdoten um die Entstehung von Amsterdam und den Grachten. Wir besuchten einen Flohmarkt, bummelten durch die tollen Gassen von Amsterdam und machten eine schöne Pause in einem Cafe, mit einem schönen Aussenbereich auf einer Brücke, bei der wir den Erzählungen von Anna bei einem Cafe lauschten. Neben diversen Fotostopps und einem tollen Besuch in einer der besten Pralinengeschäften von Amsterdam, zeigte uns Anna auch die bunte Vielfalt der Stadt. Der Ausflug mit Anna war einfach wundervoll.
