What a fantastic 3 hours we spent with Redouan discovering hidden gems in Marrakech. His knowledge of Moroccan history is outstanding and fascinating to hear and he was greeted warmly by so many of his friends in the souks. On the tour itself we covered so much from the mosques and the Jewish quarter, to the stunning Bahia Palace and of course the medina and the maze of the souks. Wandering around the artisan quarter was a highlight for us. It really felt like we were wandering around with a friend. As a family of 4 with 2 older teenagers it can sometimes be hard to find something that we all like to do, but this tour was most definitely a hit. We originally had booked with a different tour guide but at the last minute were switched over to Elhoussaine. We didn’t think too much of it, but when we chatted briefly I had requested for recommendations on where to purchase certain items from the souks. What we did not expect is for the majority of the tour to be through the souks. Other than Koutoubia Minaret, we didn’t see any of the sights (Bahia Palace, Bab Agnaou, etc.). The rest of the tour was focused on the “back routes” of the souks. While appreciative of his taking us to a couple of shops to buy the items mentioned, that is not the tour we signed up for. Not what we expected

Honestly my daughter and I had a great morning with Adil. He knows everything and was a great guide. I had the absolute BEST time with Ouidad exploring Marrakech in my first day in town. She is so sweet, so bubbly, and so knowledgable! She was like my Moroccan mama! She showed me historic sites, off-the-beaten path parts of the old city, and great shopping spots in the medina. We had the best day with Elhoussaine! He showed us so many beautiful places and gave us in-depth context as to their history and place within Moroccan culture. Having him take us through the Bahia palace was a huge highlight. Had we taken ourselves through we wouldn’t have had the background knowledge he had and likely missed a lot of what makes it such an interesting place. Redouan was so kind and responsive to our needs. One of our party had mobility issues and he was really careful with her. He did exactly what we wanted and needed in this heat. He was punctual, knowledgeable and accommodating. He got us into the Bahia Palace with no queueing, and even loaned us the money to get in when my bank card wouldn’t let me get cash 😩 Only one review on here is less than 4 stars, the majority are 5 and we would echo that. Our experience with Omar was just perfect for what we were looking for at that point of our trip. He is very relaxed and chill and from the first 5 minutes he makes you feel like you know him for a long time. Speaks perfect English and it is clear that he knows Marrakech like the back of his hand. This wasn’t just a fixed tour that he talked and we followed. He listened to what we wanted and was very flexible with the schedule and tour, because it was our first day at the city and we just wanted to get a general feeling of it. Also, he was very endearing and playful with our to young kids, which made the whole experience very relaxing and easy. Our only regret was that we did not book him for an extra tour regarding food tasting, but we will do that the next time we visit his beautiful city. We definitely recommend Omar for any kind of guided tour around Marrakech. Relaxed, knowledgable and fun!

Our 3-year-old asked to see him after we left! 3 hrs was enough for our kiddos (they said they enjoyed the tour too!), but I would’ve loved to spend more time touring with him. Hassan was an incredible and friendly guide. After a few minutes we already left the touristy parts and felt like we entered a different world - one where only locals have access to. And with Hassan we always felt very safe. We visited shops, artisan studios and productions and were hesitant to buy - but were never pressured this was really important for us. After the tour has ended and we went alone on our way home, we walked through the big market and were surprised to spot all the fakes they explained to us on the tour. So if you want to buy real stuff I'd say it's best to go with a local guide directly to the studios and get the real things for the same, if not lower price! An experience well worth!

We were 2 couples and we booked Hassan for our first day in Marrakech. We are SO glad we did. It was SO interesting, and a great intro to what can be an overwhelming city. He promised that we would see the "secrets" of Marrakech and he did not lie. We truly saw neighbourhoods and sights that most tourists would never see. I think it was one of those tours that you enjoy at the time, but appreciate even more when you explore the city on your own after.... you look back and really "get" what you saw! My only criticism, if I had to make one, is that we were not expecting the shopping stops - carpets, shoes, spices, etc. But as the week progressed, we noticed that most walking tours in the Medina have this component, so it is what it is. In the end, it was such a positive experience - Hassan was so animated and so enthusiastic about his city! If we'd had more time, we probably would have booked a second tour with him to explore another component of Marrakech.Wonderful introduction to the city!

Our 2nd trip with Adil, this time it was all about the local food. We enjoyed a stroll around patisseries, cafes and restaurants tasting a wide variety of sweets, snacks, and meals. What a fantastic guide Redouan is. Very knowledgeable about Moroccan history and all areas of the country, not only Marrakech. He took us to the old city souks which we never would have found on our own. We went on a Tuk-tuk through the narrowest streets and alleyways (felt like something out of Indiana Jones) and showed us where the locals shop, Hammam etc. What a fun trip and excellent introduction to Marrakech! Hassan was a fantastic guide and completely met our expectations in terms of a local guide. He took us to areas that were not on the typical tourist route, areas in which he grew up. We met the local baker providing a bread oven for the community, and many other sights that provided an insight into real life in Marrakech. We spent a great three hours with Redouan recently. He showed us some of the main highlights of the Medina as well as a couple of hidden gems. But not only that, he also helped us meander through some of the souks, helped us with bartering and gave us an outline of the long and colourful history of Marrakesh. Ouidad was welcoming, knowledgeable and thoughtful. She took us to the Bahia palace and then took us to a variety of places in Marrakech. She was very happy to answer all our questions about history and culture. Her English was excellent and she was so easy to get along with. We finished with a delicious drink and snack and a short visit to a Berber pharmacy where they were super informative and there was no pressure to buy. We booked our highlight tour with Adil for our first day in Marrakech. Adil was really happy, friendly and engaged us all (including our 15 year old) with his knowledge and facts about his city. Adil’s tour took in Bahia Palace (extra entrance fee which we knew at time of booking) which really brought the place to life, and gave us so much more than if we’d visited the palace alone. Having been to Marrakech before, I would have liked to have seen some more of the hidden areas in the souks, but only a small point. I would recommend a tour with Adil, especially if you’ve got children or teenagers to entertain. Thank you Adil - it was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with you.Great highlights of Marrakech

The tour was very good, but Hassan was an hour and 15 minutes late, so we didn’t have a very good start. He took us to some interesting places and provided some good information.
