I had booked the “10 Tastings of Brussels” for 2 people with Esteph in Brussels for Friday September 13th. I had messages her a week before to let her know of our dietary restrictions. We arrived at our designated spot in pouring rain and waited for half an hour for our tour guide to show up. Did she show up or did she respond to any of my frantic messages. I then tried contacting Withlocals, which in itself was a big nightmare. All I got was a AI generated canned response. After I sent an email to them, I got one response, saying they are Investigating the matter, But I have not heard anything since then. I paid over €266 and I have not received a refund nor an apology. Do not pick Esteph as a guide. Also be aware that Withlocals does not provide any customer service whatsoever. Their app only works when their guides (who I have used in the past) are responsive and responsible. I will never be using them again.Esteph was a no-show

We enjoyed our walking tour where we tasted Belgian frites (the Andalouse sauce was amazing!), snail soup (delicious!), an interesting charcuterie, beer (wine for some of us), waffles and, of course, chocolate. Esteph shared interesting information on the history and culture, and we saw some amazing architecture. As someone with a food restriction, we were able to work around it, although it did not seem like enough planning had been done ahead of time for that. We appreciated that Esteph made sure to provide suggestions for the rest of our trip. We enjoyed the market she suggested. Nice Variety

We usually do a group food tour experience but opted for a private tour in Brussels. Unfortunately, it was less than ideal. At the first stop we had to wait 30 minutes for a meatball. The second stop was a nearly hour queue for a sandwich. Although it was an iconic shop, the wait was not worth the outcome. Nothing was pre-arranged so there was much changing on the fly. Better to do a group tour.

We had a great time with Estefania showing us around Brussels and introducing us to Belgian cuisine - very tasty! She was very knowledgable of the local history and art, and was amazing with our 5 month old baby! We learned lots and had an amazing time. Estefania, and I corresponded and agreed to change the original time to an earlier time. I sent a confirmation text a few days before our meeting as well as the morning of our meeting, confirming the agreed upon time. Unfortunately, Estefania wasn’t at the location. I tried reaching her however, I couldn’t contact her through the Withlocals app. She called me at the original time but it was too late for us to meet. No experience

Estefania, was truly a world of knowledge! My daughter and I did the tour with her and it was the best way to see Brussels. Estefania was 15 minutes late & didn’t respond to our texts regarding our pick-up. She failed to check restaurant schedules for the Easter holiday, so we didn’t get to taste food at two locations, which were closed. She seemed knowledgeable about the area, but was distracted by the 2 friends who came with her on the tour.Poor Planning

We had a fantastic time with Valentina. Our trip wouldn't have been the same if we had not had her to show us the best and most amazing buildings and history of Belgium. We laughed later in the day when we thought back to what would have happened if we didn't have a tour guide. We really would have missed out on 90 percent of Brussels. We needed a customized meal plan with no alcohol or coffee and Valentina created a fantastic experience for us with our requests. We had Belgium waffles, chocolate (to die for!), cuberdons, amazing fries, pistolet, and a meatballs and cheese plate. We would highly recommend using Valentina and would suggest a food tour. Steph is a great guide and did a perfect job, with a tour completely adapted to our preferences. We’re Belgians ourselves and I work in Brussels for over 25 years. Still we learned interesting things about Brussels and discovered delicious food. We wil be revisiting several of the stops for sure. Statement to support my Review Title: a) Meeting time changed twice just 1 day before the tour on the 24th of December. b) Late meeting us. c) Tour itinerary wasn't planned well. Most of the eatery were closed all run out of food for tastings. d) We were 4 of us and we asked to do a soup tasting with only 1 cup soup to share among us for. e) This is only a part-time job for her. Definitely not a professional tour guide and I guess she is an unlicensed guide. Being a travel agent myself, this was really unacceptable. I seek a full refund for this tour.Very Unprofessional Guide

hey, I would like to tell that we had a bad expirience, and defenetly not like we were expected. we were 4 pepole people that already lives in brussels for 1 year now. we let the guide know all this information befor the tour. in the last minute, the guide was changed to an unprofessional and not so much experienced. at the meeting point she was suprised that we are 4 person, and not 2. at the first stop (belgian fries) we let her know our food preferences for the rest of the tour. and mention several times that we are living in brussels for 1 year. the fries was great. second stop was kind of mysterious bar, WAS CLOSED!!! so she took us to another bar, with 4 beers and a plate with cheese and meat. UNFORTUNATELY she was touched the cheese with her hand to cut it. very unpolite and a bit unsavory for us. the beers was great. thirs stop, snail soup. ONLY ONE OF US IS EATING SNAIL. she know it from the beginning of the tour. she didn't ofer any other plate for the rest 3 person. VERY MUCH DISAPPOINTING. Fourth stop was DANDOY COOKIES. we were asking for another cookie, as we already knoe the specoulus tast. the guide was NOT FLEXIBLE about it, And for that ONE poor cookie its a bit of a same. at the end, we bought the coockies that we wanted for ourselfs. last stop, waffel factory, was needed to pay for the extra topping that we wanted. ITS THE 240 EURO THAT WAS SUPER WAISTED. DEFINIELY WILL NOT RECOMANDED. bad expirience

A really great tour with Steph. Some amazing food and drink so best to avoid breakfast if you are planning on this one! Steph was a great guide and found the right balance in terms of giving out side information and was really informative. Also fairly chilled and certainly didn't hurry us along too much despite running over by about 45 minutes. I would definitely reccomend this tour.Great tour

What better way to start the tour off at the oldest pub and enjoying a Belgium beer. Our favorite part was visiting a seafood store that made the most delicious mussels. There is another seafood store directly across that is also good. Then she took us to a kiosk that double fried the frites. Amazing! We had other local favorite samplings. Our tour guide was 20 mins late. We then proceeded on a tour which in no way matched the description of the tour we booked. Our tour guide bought 1 or 2 portions of food/drink, to be shared between 3 paying customers. Our tour guide took us to 2 beer places which were closed, before finally settling on a third. We definitely did not receive our expected 30 tastes in total (10 tastes per person). We did receive at most 18 tastes in total. To their credit Withlocals gave us a 25Euro refund, after I expressed my concerns, However that’s less than 10% of the cost of our tour. We have been on food tours around the world and sadly this one did not meet our expectations. 10 tastes in Brussels - Nothing like the description
