We had a 3 hour experience all about the wines of Portugal. Paula told us the history of Portugal and the history of the wines as well. Her knowledge of wines is unbelievable and we also experienced the differences of wine with cheese and meat. We could ask her anything and she took the time to explain everything. Paula spent more than three hours with our travelling party of four. A walking tour in the city of Lisbon, she shared great insights into the city. Her knowledge and celebration of Portugal's history is highly impressive. A trained sommelier, she completed our time together with a wine and food tasting at a wine cellar in Lisbon- something we all enjoyed enormously. We had a very enjoyable tour of Lisbon with Paula learning of the history of Lisbon and Portugal and enjoying the sights. our time with paula was fantastic! after a tour of key lisbon sights, we tasted wine at Praça do Comercia. we continued on and had a wonderful wine and cheese pairing in another part of the city. all three of us are vegetarian and paula did her best to accommodate. would definitely recommend, especially if you want to see key lisbon sights and enjoy some wine along the way!fun day!

So, I am back in Boston and what a great visit Lisbon has been. On my 4th day of a 9-day visit to Lisbon, I booked a tour with Paula - Sights and Flavors of Lisbon with a Private Sommelier. I read an article which stated wine is the pride of Portugal. Meeting Paula, I got to personally experience it! I was drawn to her passion for the beautiful city of Lisbon and her in-depth knowledge of wine. Through this tour, I began to learn how to truly appreciate wine (its history, tradition, and culture also)! As she showed me around Lisbon, she connected me to a local wine store, so I could purchase and share some lovely Portuguese wine with my friends and family back home. We absolutely loved our time with Paula! Our personalized tour was a mix of Portuguese heritage, history, fun cultural facts and of course delicious wine! We met near the Rossio station and she provided us with some background of the area, and continued to point of areas of interest along the way to our first destination, which was a rooftop wine bar. There we enjoyed some white wines with a beautiful view of the city. We then visited the Portuguese Wine Institute, where we were able to sample many varieties, including a 40 year old Port! Paula was incredibly helpful with her suggestions, such as which wine shop we should visit to purchase bottles to take home. We mentioned to her that we were visiting Sintra the next day, and she suggested visiting Bar do Binho, which was excellent. Overall, we had a wonderful afternoon with Paula, and feel that we learned not only about wine, but about the Portuguese people. The Best Wine Experience!

Me and my husband had booked a tour with lovely Paula at the first day of our stay in Lisbon, and our vacation could not have started in any better way. The tour was such a great way to be introduced to Lisbon's sights, and Portuguese wine. Paula gave us great insight, and we got to know the city and it's history by walking around in the very compact and walkable city center. In addition, she managed to incorporate her own wine expertise, and we learned so much about the major grapes and regions. The visit at the wine institute was a highlight, and we came back several times during our stay. Make sure you try wines from the Bairrada region! The way she managed to customize the content to our interests was very impressive, and Paula's friendly nature made the whole experiene worth every euro. Her English is very good, and as far as we understood she is also fluent in other languages. We give Paula our best recommendations, and please note that she also guides in other parts of Portugal by request. Great experience!

We did the tour with Paula on our first day in Lisbon and were very pleased with this experience :) Not only the wine tasting that was super interesting but also the walk around downtown, historical facts and some hidden gems of Lisbon's center. Paula was very helpful in agreeing to suit the tour contents and timing to my needs and I must say did so very well. I asked for, and got, a good mixture of interesting bits of history and the local landmarks, advice on what to do later in my holiday and a few good locations visited for wine and food. Paula is both knowledgeable on the city, it's history and how to see the evidence in the streets about you and of course food and wine for which an interesting pairing was made.
