This bike ride was fantastic. Victor is full of knowledge and we got to see a side of Madrid that we would have missed. The ride is fairly easy so most should be able to do it. Highly recommended. Must do activity in Madrid!

Bravo Victor! He is an excellent and friendly guide. He taught me so much about the history of Madrid (and sone of Spain). I especially liked learning about the interesting history of the river, and the bike paths. We visited viewpoints, and learned details about monuments, buildings and bridges, which only an experienced long-time resident would know. Victor was a good communicator and speaks very good English. He was very accommodating of my frequent stops to take a picture. We were on bike/ped paths, never once on a busy street ( though we crossed one or two). Good for beginning to advanced cyclists.Excellent, informative, engaging tour

Victor seems like a really nice guy to go and have a drink with. However, the tour itself was quite disappointing with a lot of talk about local sports clubs and random personal anecdotes that had little meaning for us. Whenever we asked for clarification, he either ignored us (maybe he didn't hear) or answered in some very unrelated way. The bike ride itself was pleasant and we got to see parts of Madrid we otherwise would not have. Disappointing

Our ride with Victor was outstanding! We went on a ride through the city park along the river ending up at an old slaughter house that has been converted into food, drink and performing arts spaces. Along the way we had great conversation and learned a ton about the city of Madrid. Victor has a wealth of knowledge about the Prado Museum in addition to all of his knowledge about the history and current events of Madrid itself. To conclude our tour Victor was even kind enough to walk with us to one of his restaurant/tapas recommendations and it was fantastic!A beautiful ride with lots of knowledge

We had a great bike tour in Madrid with Victor: he guided us along the banks of the river Manzanares, the so called Madrid Río park, and talked us about what the impact was on the neighbourhoods, he took us to the Matadero (the ancient slaughterhouses) and explained us all about this new cultural location, he made us see Casa de Campo, … so it was a very pleasant ride, away from the crowded tourist attractions. We could have easily spent an entire day listening to all the interesting things Victor had to tell. He’s a real ambassador for Madrid!!!Wonderful bike tour

Julio was so friendly and helpful! The bike tour took us around the city -literally along the slow-moving river and bike trail-providing an overview of the sites that we would experience inside the old part of the city. Julio could answer any questions. His English was excellent. I highly recommend this tour of you want to skip the traditional tourist stops and explore those on your own but get a great overview of Madrid. Great day to learn about Madrid

My family and I (with children of ages 10, 8 and 6) did a bicycle tour of Madrid with Julio and it was great. Julio texted the day before to confirm our booking, the meeting point was easy to get to and it was a nice introduction to Madrid. We have just finished a biking tour of Madrid with Julio Cesar and had the best time. From booking the experience the communication was brilliant. Julio was extremely knowledgeable about Madrid and full of great stories about the city. One of the kindest person we have ever met, he couldn’t do enough to make us feel happy. We discovered lovely areas of Madrid, off the beaten track, we would have never been to otherwise. And the best bit was the level of fitness required which was perfectly achievable to anyone. Voor 3 mannen die geen winkel willen zien, was dit een super opwarmer richting het avondprogramma. Gaaf om een ander ''rustig'' en groen deel van Madrid te zien. Pak je kans nu Julio nog in Madrid woont (Een flink ingeburgerde local, gaat ws terug naar zijn roots). Hij spreekt perfect Engels, en vertelt alles op een leuke manier.Zeker doen!

What a great day! This was our first excursion with "WithLocals" so we did not really know what to expect...The tour was completely private and customized for the needs of my family (2 adults and 4 kids ages 12-14). Victor was knowledgeable and gave information that kept all interested at all times. The bike tour itself was a great way to see Madrid. It was 100+ degrees on the day we did the tour so Victor moved it up earlier so that we wouldn't be riding in the peak of the hot weather. Being on the bike was probably much better than walking in this weather. He also tried to keep us in shady areas and stop when we needed a break or some water. The tour ended in a beautiful park where we enjoyed cold beverages and tapas. I would high recommend this tour as well as Victor to any family looking for a great way to see the city in a short time.Amazing day!

Julio was a fantastic guide for our tour of Madrid. He was enthusiastic about Madrid and extremely knowledgeable about its history, geography, architecture, society, and the beauty of the city. The biking was perfect along the river with stops for Julio to point out the high points and describe what we were looking at. We stopped for tapas and cerveza along the way and thoroughly enjoyed talking with Julio and learning more about Madrid. Since it was our first day in the city, Julio showed us the different neighborhoods on a map and helped give us ideas about the best ways to spend our 3 days in Madrid. We loved the afternoon and can't recommend Julio highly enough. Thanks for the great experience!Wonderful bike tour of Madrid!

We met Julio who was so welcoming and informative. We started our Bike ride along the Manzanares River, the pathways were all bike friendly and flat. The area was beautiful and we cycled over the oldest bridge in Madrid and Julio was very knowledgeable about all the areas we cycled. We were lucky enough to visit Matadero, a large cultural Centre when the food market was on. We then had a rest and enjoyed a caña and some local cheese before heading back. Julio Pointed out the Ermita de Virgen del Puerto, and recommended we visit after the tour and he also recommended A local restaurant Casa Mingo. We visited this after the tour and had the roast chicken and cider. Absolutely delicious! I cannot recommend Julio enough, he clearly loves Madrid and he was a joy to cycle with. Bike tour

Rosen was a great guide, he stepped in at the last minute when the guide we had booked couldn't make it so we were really grateful. The bike tour was great, following the beautiful park that runs along the river. It included a stop at a cultural centre, the church where Goya is buried and a beer in the oldest cafe in Madrid. What a great morning we had with Julio riding bikes in the Casa de Campo park! The park is incredible and Julio was awesome! He was incredibly flexible with the schedule, the tour (we totally stopped spontaneously at the once monthly Farmers market at the converted slaughterhouse and sampled lots of yummy local products and foods!). Julio also took great photos ( he is a photographer as well), gave great recommendations for other things to do and see and eat! (Julio, you were right, the roast chicken was incredible!) It was a great way to see another part of Madrid and get another perspective on the city. Thanks, Julio!Definitely do the bike tour!

Overall the tour was a good experience. We enjoyed biking through the parks in Madrid, and seeing a few sights and facts that we otherwise would not have known about. We do feel as if the tour could have been a little better prepared; most of the sights we visited ended up being closed or had no art exhibitions going on at the time which was pretty disappointing, we feel like we could have seen the same sights without paying more that 100 euros for the guide... The tour felt a slightly unprepared and "on the spot." From what I had read in the tour description, I thought we would be passing through the Palacio de Madrid and Casa de Campo park, but instead we stopped in front, learned a few facts, and continued on biking. It was also a little bit hard to understand the guide as he talked quietly and did not enunciate his words too much. Next time I would have been content renting a bike and touring the parks independently. Bike Tour

Wat een aardige vent! We voelden ons echt meegenomen in het Madrileense leven en niet een toerist op een standaard route.
