It was advertised as a food tour. We learned about Salzburg but little about the food. He was knowledgeable about himself and about the city but we only stopped for food twice and it was snack/bar food with no explanations. For the price of the tour we expected much more. We have taken many food tours around the world and always had plenty to eat and learned so much about local food. Our tour started at 18:30 when many restaurants were closed. If we had been informed of this we would have made different plans.Food tour

Unfortunately Sabine couldn’t make it but she arranged for Sissy to take her place. We had 2 adults and 4 children between 16-20yo and Sissy tailored the tour for our group very well. She provided great insight into the history of Salzburg and some of its key citizens in a way that was informative and engaging to all. Roman was pleasant but unfortunately, he is very soft spoken and difficult to hear esp with surrounding traffic and noise around the city. He spent too much time on his phone checking it and what seemed like texting. It seemed as though he had someplace else he wanted to be. His information was interesting when you could hear it. Nathalie has so many interesting stories to tell! We totally enjoyed our session with her despite the rain and the cold. She brought us to the amazing St. Peter Stiftskulinarium restaurant for a visit and convinced the restaurant to allow us to visit some of their function rooms that were carved out of rock (without having to have drinks or lunch there) - that absolutely blew our minds away! We had no idea such rooms exist in Salzburg! We had to end our session with Nathalie earlier as my elderly mother was tired - thanks to Nathalie for being so understanding!Very interesting time spent in Salzburg!

The start to our tour was rough because we were assigned two male tour directors, first Didi, then Roman. Roman sent a message through Withlocals, but we were out and about and didn’t get it so we didn’t know that we had been passed on to a third to a third tour guide. So we got to the meet up site looking for a male guide and couldn’t find him in a cold, driving, rain. Finally, 20 minutes after our original meeting time we met with Inez And what a wonderful person and guide she is. She immediately assessed how cold we were and took us to a local coffee shop for hot chocolate and a nice chat. It was just what we needed! Inez’s Knowledge, passion, and love for Salzburg came through in beautiful ways. She showed us her beautiful city and taught us so much about its history. We feel that through the experience we made a new friend. The only thing that would’ve made it better was no rain! Inez is the best!

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending 3+ hours touring all over Salzburg with Sabine. She shared loads of information about Salzburg’s history as well as pointing out the Sound of Music locations, recommending restaurants and bars and places we should see in our remaining time in Salzburg. Sabine is warm and friendly, knowledgeable about all things Salzburg and she showed us sights that we would never have found on our own!! I highly recommend Sabine! Fabulous Tour with Sabine!!

We had a great 3 hour visit around Salzburg with Nathalie. Her English is fluent and she is very knowledgeable. And in addition a lovely person. In retrospect we perhaps should have made a coffee break mid morning rather than glass of beer at end of trip. 3 hours without a break was rather long for all of us. And in retrospect I should have arranged an earlier start to our walk. We started at 10.30 but an earlier start would have avoided some of the weekend crowds. But this was my fault not Nathalie’s. Perhaps it would also have been useful to give us more precise recommendations for sightseeing during the afternoon. We made mistake of visiting the Modern Art Museum which was a waste of time and money. This was not a recommendation of Nathalie but we possibly could have avoided it. Admittedly the view from the museum restaurant was pretty spectacular. But by the time we headed back down into old town it was too late to visit other museums.Best way to visit Salzburg

We had Francisca NOT Sabine for this tour.. which I wouldn’t say is a food tour at all. It started at 5pm and we only went to ONE restaurant at 7:15pm. We got a piece of bread and one piece of chocolate from 5-7:15pm. Decent historical tour, but again, was expecting a food tour like the description had said. Not worth the $160 per person that we paid at all. We could have gone to the one restaurant on our own and saved so much money. Would not recommend at all if you’re looking for a food tour. NOT A FOOD TOUR

It was a very rainy day when we did the Sound of Music Tour with Nathalie. But nothing can stop the passion and dedication of our guide. She continued on as if nothing could stop the show! And to think we were late for an hour or so because of a passport issue of one of the family members.
