Quick train ride to Vicchio, learned about local history, beautiful hike, wonderful lunch and vineyard. This was such an enjoyable day! Highly recommend!Perfect Day!

Excellent tour! Simone went out of his way to customize the tour. I went through the adorable town of Vicchio - saw a artesian in town, beautiful hike that ended in a wonderful little vineyard. I would highly recommend Simone to anyone looking to have a fabulous day outdoors. Customized tour

This tour was everything our family hoped for and more. We were needing a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and this beautiful, hike through the countryside was the answer. Simone showed us interesting historical sights, local towns and foods, pointed out various plants and trees, answered our many questions and ended with a true local lunch at a family run farm and winery. It was a breath to fresh air: fun, interesting, beautiful and delicious. A unique, wonderful, breath of freah air!

Simone was an absolute star as a host, giving us the best day. We were very unfortunate that there was heavy rain during our 'hike & wine tour', but Simone was flexible and smart enough to give it an amazing twist. We went around in his car, got a tour of the winery, and dropped us a a local restaurant for delicious pasta at lunch. Instead of the day being washed away by rain, Simone gave it a twist that exceeded all our expectations. Thank you!!! It doesn't get more local than Simone

We spent a fantastic four hours with Simone hiking from Dicomano to a local vineyard for a wine tasting and lunch. The hike was at an easy pace and Simone shared the history of the area with us, along with his knowledge of the trees, plants and grapes that grow along the trail. Spectacular views of the surrounding countryside as you make your way to the vineyard. Most enjoyable day away from the city!Mugello Nature Food & Wine hike

Simone, is very knowledgeable and passionate about the area. We learned the history of the land, ancient buildings and town. He was quick to point out local plants, herbs and fruit trees along our hike. As a gardener, I really enjoyed the education very much! The hike can be steep, but lots of resting points. You go at your own pace... part of the beauty of a private tour! Wear good hiking shoes and bring water. The winery is stunning! We toured the entire facility and the gorgeous farmhouse. We had our tasting in the outside terrace. The wines are organic, artisanal and wonderful. The food was light and perfect for the hot weather. We were unable to finish it all due to the generous servings. I highly recommend this outing. It’s an easy train ride from Florence and an excellent respite from hustle of the city. It was definitely a highlight of our trip!Amazing Day in the Mugello Valley

Simone was very friendly and knowledgeable. Communication was great leading up to our day together. On the morning of our booking it was raining so Simone adapted our experience that made it fun for the whole family. We learned about where Giotto grew up and visited a beautiful church. We then went to the saffron farm and had beautiful honey, meat and cheese and wine! We got to meet so many farm animals and learn about the native birds. Our kids 9 and 10 absolutely loved it and so did we! We hope to do more tours with Simone.Fantastic And Unique Family Experience

What an incredible experience! From the time he met us at the Vicchio train station to the time we left, Simone was the perfect host. We got to visit a local farm with winery, beehives and saffron field and sample all of her delicious wares. Then it was off to visit Giotto’s home, his church, and a delightful tour of the Vicchio city square. We even got to chat with a master leather craftsman and his apprentice! For a truly authentic experience into the Tuscan countryside, this is THE tour to book. We cannot rank it highly enough! Grazie Mille, Simone!!Amazing afternoon in Tuscany!
