Alain was prompt to make contact; was waiting for us at the meeting point ahead of time; was enthusiastic about his walk; was very knowledgeable about the street art and local area; happily shared interesting facts about the neighbourhood. Having said that, the tour was a little expensive for the length and what we saw. Had I realised cost was quoted in Euros not local currency I definitely would not have booked it. My oversight. Wir haben schon viele Touren bei withlocals, AirBNB und getyourguide gebucht, aber diese Tour war vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis die mit Abstand schlechteste Tour, die wir bisher hatten. Aida war eine nette Person, aber die Leistung, die sie erbracht hat, war leider den relativ hohen Preis für die Tour nicht wert. Schade, wir hatten uns auf eine tolle Tour gefreut, aber es war leider nur unteres Mittelmaß ohne Hingabe und Engagement. Sorry Aida, aber das war nichts.Wir waren insgesamt schon sehr enttäuscht

He is quite knowledgeable about the street art scene as well as the political, cultural and social history of Argentina and his evident passion for the subject makes his tour exciting. Buenos Aires has some amazing street art, but I had no idea of the stories behind it. Aida took us through some amazing neighborhoods and knew so much about the artists and the stories behind the murals. Too often we wonder around a foreign place truly not understanding what we’re seeing blindly looking at sites. The murals and street art in Buenas Aires tell wonderful stories and document events of a certain time if you know the history and context. Ines was a charming guide with excellent English who shared so much of her city, country and culture with us as we enjoyed learning about the murals which are indeed fascinating street art. My partner and I took a wonderful art tour with Veronica and saw several amazing and well-executed murals in a section of the city that we otherwise would probably not have visited. The murals were in a wide variety of different styles, and each one felt unique. Veronica showed pictures of some of the artist's other works, and so you had a good sense of their individual styles. Our discussions were thought-provoking, and we were able to recognize elements of one mural that featured plants from our home (SW United States) which was unexpected and showed the wide variety of influences that these artists had. The experience with Verónica was GREAT. She was very communicative and attentive. On the day of our excursion, she was punctual, funny, super knowledgeable, and ready to answer all our questions even on topics that may not be considered comfortable (i.e. political situations, wars, etc). We enjoyed having Veronica show us a part of Buenos Aires and local art that we would not have otherwise discovered as it was not on the main tourist trail. Our experience with Veronica in Buenos Aires was very special. Veronica made it very special. I give my highest recommendation and suggest you contact her directly through the WithLocals website before you go to help customize you visit. Our group of four spent two full days with Veronica. Prior to our arrival she asked what other plans we had and taking those into consideration, she coordinated with another WithLocals food tour guide to make sure there was no overlap in the three itineraries. In addition, she got us tickets to the best tango show in town with a discount that is only available to professional tour guides. And since we wanted to attend a classical music performance at Theatre Colon, and we couldn’t buy the tickets ourselves over the internet, she went to the theater before we arrived, stood in line and got us great balcony seats. Before our visit, she made many recommendations that helped improve the value of our experience. She is very conscientious and very competent. Veronica also explained the weird money exchange situation in Buenos Aires. I won’t go into it here, but believe me when I say that a U.S greenback is worth almost twice as much as $1 from a credit card. Look into blue money before you go and you will be taking a lot more cash than you thought you would. Our hotel helped us with the exchange. There is nothing illegal about this, apparently. The price she was charging for her services seemed low in comparison to other tours we’ve been on. Because of that and the superior service and value she provided, we gave her a terrific tip. I bet you will feel the same way. Make it US cash. Veronica loves Buenos Aires and it show in her presentation. She is a well-educated world traveler with perfect English diction who keeps you engaged throughout the experience. Because Veronica is university trained as a professional tour guide, there will be no seat-of-the-pants presentation by an unqualified guide as we’ve experienced in other cities. She will evaluate your interests and customize the time to your desires. If you are going to Buenos Aires, you can’t go wrong with Veronica! You will not find a better guide than Veronica!
