Margita is a very competent guide with a lot of knowledge both in art history and in gastronomy. She showed me the highlights of Rīga and added many unknown aspects so that it was really a pleasure to listen to her. We also went to some culinary places where she could explain the peculiarities of the Latvian cuisine in a brilliant manner. She surprised me very much by even offering me my favorite dish, the Aukšta zupa. In a nutshell, I appreciated this tour very much and can recommend Margita strongly. The lively yet unique atmosphere was simply impressive! We could have stayed there forever, admiring all the different products. Margita is a lifelong Riga resident and art expert who worked as an art teacher, artist and tour guide. She was most generous with her time, telling us in detail about many buildings and local history, and introducing us to the most delicious Kalve coffee. Margita was a very interactive guide for our 8 persons weekend trip to Riga. We spend one morning walking through Riga seeing all the beautiful architecture and hearing the stories behind it from Margita. Another half day we took the train to the beach Jurmala where we did a bike tour along beautiful houses and back over the sandy beach, finishing with a very cosy lunch together with Margita.
