Mariagrazia was a perfect guide for the day. She met us at our hotel in Naples and worked with us on the agenda for the day. We did not have any "must do" for the day but were able to describe our idea of a "good day" and she did the rest. The whole day was amazing. Mariagrazia was full of information about the region. She navigated the roads, stops, and restaurant for us. I really only have glowing things to say about the experience. She was also very gracious with our two young daughters that wanted some beach time and to do some singing in the car. I would book another tour with Mariagrazia without hesitation.Fantastic Day on Amalfi Coast

Mariagrazia was very nice, but she was more a driver than a tour guide. This is what the itinerary said what was in store for us: Check out from viewpoints, nature, and cultural gems such as Villa Oplonti, Positano and Amalfi plus other stops your local host has prepared for you along the way. Unfortunately, the description did not match the actual tour. We had three stops and got back to Naples 45 minutes before the tour was to end. Stop 1 was to try fresh mozzarella and cheese. Loved this! Our next stop was Positano but it seemed like she really didn't want to be go there and she stayed in the car for the hour that we explored the seaside town. Then it was off to Amalfi where we ate lunch at her cousin's restaurant that has an incredible water view. It also was the most expensive restaurant we ate at during our entire trip. After our lunch we were told we could explore the town for an hour. Our tour guide stayed behind in the restaurant and we went out again on our own without a guide. Since we had paid for a tour guide, we did not research what to do in the towns because that is what a tour guide is for, right? We never visited Villa oplonti and the description of the tour states that tickets for Villa Oplontis are included. Just OK

We had one day to spend in the Amalfi region and visit Pompeii, and Mariagrazia crafted a highly tailored itinerary for us. We had a great day. We didn’t have any previous ideas of what to see other than watching a TV show about the area. Mariagrazia knew the show and took us to places better than the show. She showed us Her Amalfi coast. Every where we went we got special treatment because we were with Mariagrazia. From flexible restaurant reservations to preferred water taxi’s. I highly recommend. We had a great time with Mariagrazia. Her communication was great prior to our day with her. She was also able to adjust the pickup spot to make it easier for us. While on our trip, she was awesome at pointing out history and local points of interest. She took us to a cheese factory and we were able to see mozzarella being made and we even were able to try the cheese right from the production line. You can’t get any fresher than that! She also took us to try some local sweets that were amazing. I could go on and on as we experienced much more than what I have noted, however, I wanted to at least call the places that we would have never experienced if we were a part of a big tour group. It was fun because she engaged all of us and had some fun conversations with our kids and our youngest about video games. This was our third time using With Locals and it did not disappoint. It is so much better as Mariagrazia didn’t take the “normal” tourist route which would have added a lot of driving time and less time experiencing the local culture. We cannot recommend her enough as we had a great day with her! Fun experience seeing the Amalfi coast

We had a wonderful and relaxing day with Mariagrazia as she drove us to see the towns along the Amalfi Coast. We met up with her at the Central Naples train station and then headed to Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi where we wandered a bit I. Town and enjoyed a delicious seaside lunch and Ravello, where we toured the Villa Rufala which to me was the most beautiful location. She gave us lots of information along the way about the culture, the history, the sea and land, the food, seems like everyone knew her everywhere we stopped as well, which was fun. Heading back we stopped in the side of the road for the best lemon ice I’ve ever had. And she helped my husband find the sunglasses he was hoping to buy while in Italy nearby, too. Mariagrazia was absolutely amazing. My husband and I had about Amalfi but Mariagrazia showed us Amalfi Coast. She was so knowledgeable about the area. We let her guide us and what time it was. We tasted fresh mozzarella and ricotta cheese😻 Fresh figs. Toured a beautiful grotto. Had the most delicious lemon slush. Lunch was FANTASTIC!!! We let her choose and it was the best meal!! We also learned a lot of Italian. Mariagrazia is the best you could ask for in a tour guide. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Best day ever!!

We had a wonderful day trip with Mariagrazia. She was so attentive to our 7 year old, he absolutely loved her. One of the highlights was a fantastic pizza and seafood lunch where we played Uno, all trying to win a round! We knew in advance some of the places we wanted to visit but she also had some ideas that we wouldn’t have known about and expertly drove us between stops, ensuring that we saw everything without ever being rushed. Mariagrazia was terrific. She picked four of us (two couples) up in Sorrento and took us on a tour of the Amalfi coast. She was very knowledgeable and very charming. Stopping along the route she would pull over and let us take breathtaking photos. Also stopped at a little fruit vendor where we had fresh squeezed orange juice and bought some fruit. We stopped at a very nice ceramic shop and next door took a quick side venture to the Green Grotto - very cool. Our other stops were in Positano and Amalfi. In Amalfi she joined us for lunch at her favorite restaurant where everyone knew her and we had a very nice lunch. Afterwards, we were taken back to the kitchen after the meal to pose for pictures with the chef and crew. Then time to wander around Amalfi. We were running low on time due to our schedule and a later start, so we had to miss Ravello (next time!). But we did stop in another great seaside town on the way back. Mariagrazia was the perfect host and great driver, we felt very confident with her behind the wheel as the traffic on the Amalfi coast is crazy. Highly recommend Mariagrazi and With Locals. A wonderful day with a wonderful driver

Our party of four adults (mom, dad, and 2 college students) had a great time with Mariagrazia on our driving tour of Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi. She took us to the best photo sites, places to eat/snack, shopping, and local attractions. We also skipped the crowds and dined at her cousin’s seaside restaurant in Amalfi, but there was absolutely no pressure to dine there—all itinerary decisions were made by us guests. My wife and I had the pleasure of taking a tour of the Amalfi Coast with Mariagrazia. She was a fantastic guide that went above and beyond to provide us with a unique experience tailored you our specific requests, including a surprise stop along the way in her hometown where we were able to sample and purchase some delicious local cheese. On top of that, we were able to taste some amazing grilled artichokes being sold on the street, which was a real treat. Throughout the day, we stopped at various local shops and were able to enjoy a fantastic lunch right on the ocean. As if all of this wasn't enough, Mariagrazia even took us on a short tour of Napoli before saying our goodbyes. Overall, the tour was absolutely wonderful, and our guide was incredibly fun, knowledgeable and an absolute delight. Our day began with my Dad, Fiancé and I meeting our wonderful travel manager Mariagrazia at the train station were she collected us. Instantly her friendly personality put as at ease as we set off into a mixture of cheese, Limoncello and chocolate tasting. Having Maria with us gave us a whole new perspective and real insight what it could be like to be a local in the region. Maria was very proactive and booked a wonderful seaside restaurant for us to enjoy lunch in the Amalfi Coast. Furthermore, it’s worth noting her driving skills are fantastic, the roads may twist and turn but she got us there without feeling sick (which is impressive as we normally do on similar roads). My husband and I spent all day with Mariagrazia exploring the Amalfi coast. She picked us up very close to our apartment in Naples and drove us in her very nice, comfortable car to begin our adventure. She is an excellent driver and we felt safe in her capable hands on the narrow, twisting roads. She provided us with many opportunities to take pictures and view the panoramic scenery. Lunch was delicious at a waterfront restaurant in Amafi. We toured the Doumo and tasted Limoncello. After a last stop in delightful Ravello we returned to Naples. My two lady friends surprised me with trip to Italy for my 40th and what a surprise it was! Mariagrazia picked us up, drove us along the Amalfi coast, treated us like we were family... and introduced us to some of her "family". It was lovely. We ate amazing seafood, drank lovely wine, laughed with our heart, sat by the sea... and best of all... I washed off 39 in the cold Tyrrhenian Sea. That was a favorite. We never felt rushed or herded. We had alone time when needed to and never felt judged. Mariagrazia is so amazing. Another best part (there were many) we were driving back to our place and we danced to Michael Jackson in the car the whole way. I don't know about you all, but if you can't dance at a club, dancing down the Amalfi with 3 awesome ladies is pretty great. Thank Mariagrazia... you are forever in my family! Dancing on the Amalfi

My husband and my had a wonderful day with Mariagrazia who drove us save and sound in her car through the beauties of Amalfi coast with a lot of stopps at amazing places. She gave uns lots of interesting details about the region, didn't get tired to answer all our questions and showed us places like a countryside restaurant with delicious food, which we had never found ourselves. A full day in this extraordinary place was made all the more authentic by Mariagrazia. She is a true local, full of knowledge and history of the area with a warm personality! Miguel from Vienna Our plan was to ride the famous Amalfitana and with it from Naples to Sorrento - but how? I found “withlocals” on the internet, spontaneously selected Maria Grazia and - we haven't regretted it! Even booking was uncomplicated and all travel requests were possible. The ride in a wonderfully comfortable car with a spirited driver who knew the answer to all questions was exciting, humorous and instructive without the “school feeling”; plus an enjoyable lunch in Amalfi right by the sea and impressions that lasted for a long time. Mariagrazia contacted us as soon as our tour was booked - sharing her contact information and confirming that she would pick us up at our hotel on the morning of our tour. She showed up on time and ready to go in a very comfortable and roomy 4-wheel drive SUV and gave us the opportunity to customize our schedule for the day. We started off in Pompeii, got a great tour of all the key areas of Pompeii, spent about 90 minutes walking around the ruins, capped with an espresso! Next we made our way to the Amalfi coast by way of Scala and Ravello. Thank goodness we had Mariagrazia’s steady hand navigating the roads - they were tight and full of switchbacks but she drove them like a pro! We stopped in Amalfi for lunch in a very nice restaurant right on the water and had some awesome fresh seafood, and probably the best ricotta/pear cheesecake I had ever tasted. Then we proceeded to a nice walking tour of Amalfi and Ravello. Through the tour, Mariagrazia shared tidbits and knowledge about the area - it was clear that she’s a very knowledgeable and local….we ran into a bunch of people along the tour that she knew…we got some complementary limoncello and licorice alcohol, among other cool little pit stops. Overall - it was a super day, lots of fun and Mariagrazia made our trip to Naples. Thanks for a great time! See you next time we’re in the area and want to visit the Amalfi coast, highly recommend!!!Fantastic tour of Amalfi and Pompeii!

Mariagrazia was a terrific guide, she took care of all our needs above and beyond! We weren't totally sure what all we wanted to see and Mariagrazia completely catered to what we liked and was completely flexible. She went above and beyond throughout our stay, helping us find a place to stay, ordering us pizza, answering our questions the day after the tour, and just making sure we had a wonderful experience. We had the most incredible day with Mariagrazia. She gave us an experience that my family will never forget. Mariagrazia is more than a guide, she provides a personal touch to make the day memorable beyond the sights we saw. We are already planning a return trip to Italy and we will be calling on her again. I recommend her with the highest marks. If I could give her 100 stars, I would.Mariagrazia is the BEST!!!

Mariagrazia picked us up at our hotel in the center of Naples and off we went on our day-long adventure. Mariagrazia is a brave and skilled driver - a must in the chaotic traffic of Naples. She drove us to Pompeii for a wonderful tour of the ruins and renovations. Mariagrazia was a perfect guide providing a comfortable pace and perfect amount of information. Her driving skills were again featured as we drove over the mountain to Amalfi. Between hairpin turns, burros, lorries, over-sized tour buses and one large herd of sheep, we made it to Amalfi for a very enjoyable lunch on the waterfront. Mariagrazia defines the unique experience of being with a local. She introduced us to townspeople she knew including the chef that prepared our lunch, she was married in the incredible Cattedrale di Sant'Andrea Apostolo in Amalfi's piazza Duomo and she knew the perfect places to show us the best views of this amazing little place. My family and I went on a private full-day tour of the Amalfi Coast with Mariagrazia. What a great day! She lives in the region and took us to some local places off the beaten paths. We drove from Naples over the mountains to the coast. Our first stop was a cute little store where we got to sample some fresh mozzarella cheeses. The store was so local that Mariagrazia's dad actually came in unexpectedly to make a purchase while we were there! Next we drove over the mountains, listening to stories about the area, stopping for some breathtaking views, and arrived at a little coffee shop for an espresso. We continued on through the narrow mountain roads spotting little towns, some goats and more amazing views. She brought us to a small winery where we tasted some delicious wines and liqueurs. We then reached the coast in Amalfi and had a fabulous lunch right on the water. Mind you, this was the American Thanksgiving Day, so there were no crowds at this time of year. After lunch we took a stroll (in the rain, which was even fun) through the beautiful town of Amalfi built into the mountainside. We decided to take the coastal roads back to Naples which brought more stops to marvel at the amazing views. We all had such a great day that we barely missed traditional Thanksgiving with our extended family! Thanks Mariagrazia! Fabulous day!

I had a wonderful day trip with Mariagrazia to Amalfi and around Naples. She was very detailed in her communications so I knew exactly what to expect and she was right on time in front of my hotel. I am learning Italian so throughout the day she took time to help me with the language and we spoke both English and Italian throughout the day while she pushed me to use my Italian as we interacted with her many friends along the way on the coast and in Naples. She is a fantastic driver and navigates the windy roads along the coast like no other. We had a beautiful lunch on the water of Amalfi and I also had a nice wine and cheese tasting ... I saw so much and learned quite a bit about Neapolitan culture. You cannot have a better guide than Mariagrazia as this area is clearly her love and it shows. I can’t wait to return!The heart and flavor of Napoli

We loved our tour in the rain through the Amalfi coast because our guide made the sun shine. Mariagrazia adapted our visit to the coast villages due to the weather. But she made the best of it and took the time to stop at beautiful spots to take pictures you will not find in the tourist guides. She took us to a restaurant in Amalfi at the port where we had amazing dishes of different kind of fish and an absolutely top tiramisu. On the way back we could taste different Tramonti wines. During the day she did not stop talking about Naples and the Amalfi region and answered all our questions in fluent english with a lovely italian accent. We never felt unsafe with her driving around the curvy and narrow coastal roads. Grazie mille, Mariagrazia for this uncommon day trip. Yvonne & Ben Amalfi in the rain
