The tour was enjoyable and the olive oil farm was a highlight. Montserrat was peaceful and gorgeous. However, Elvira is a dangerous and inexperienced driver. I would recommend booking a tour with her that does not involve a vehicle. Poor and dangerous driving

We did the 10 tastings of Barcelona with Elvira. As a family of four ( 2 adults and 2 kids (10 and 13), we had very different preferences for food. She adjusted quickly and made sure we had a great tour. As it was our first day in Barcelona, and we were very jet-lagged, we were not as hungry as we should have been for such a tour, so she quickly pivoted and included some walking and historic tour of the City. She was very knowledgeable. She was very generous with her time, and made sure everyone had a good time. I highly recommend!Super flexible and great with kids!

Elvira was patient as we got lost and were running behind and greatly appreciate her flexibility! We had a fun walk around the gothic quarter with our family of 3 adults and 3 kids, all under the age of 4. some of the topics felt a bit confusing and unfinished / where we would jump around and didn’t feel like a natural flow of details but not a deal breaker. Elvira provided our family (2 teenagers and 2 adults) with a great tour of the Gothic Quarter and El Born. She provided lots of information that educated us on the history of Barcelona, Catalunya and Spain whilst taking us to many parts of these locations we may not have seen. We had a memorable time with Elvira at Montserrat and the winery. Our favorite part was experiencing the vineyard and meeting the owner, Martha - the wines were delicious! We didn’t have a super ideal weather day at Montserrat (foggy and chill), but made the most of it viewing the museum and popping into the church. Elvira worked with us having two young kids in tow, which we really appreciated. Our only negative was the car issues we had, purely from a safety perspective. The car kept stalling often and we were worried we wouldn’t be able to continue the day. We can laugh about it now given we’re home safe, but it was a real concern at the time. I would only recommend if I knew for certain the transportation issues were resolved.Memorable Day Trip

We had the best day with Elvira - she was so accommodating and knowledgeable. She took us to the usual parts of the Abby but also to the newly opened museum that no one seemed to know about - it was like a private showing! From the Abby to the winery she took us on back roads so we could see more of the areas natural beauty. The winery was fantastic - small, intimate with amazing Catalonian wine. We were a group of 6, and Elvira’s foodie knowledge and passion for Barcelona was outstanding. We talked about all sorts of topics including current affairs and traditional Spanish life. We thoroughly enjoyed the tastings we had, that were away from the tourist hubs and Elvira’s explanations that went with them were very informative. Elvira was absolutely amazing. We had a tour of Parc Guell and Elvira made it interesting for both myself and my 3 children. Knowing that we had a short stay, she then told us on the subway and gave us a tour of the gothic quarter which was fascinating and would have been something we would have missed if Elvira hadn't guided us there. Elvira was super personable, knowledgeable about Catalunya foods, culture, traditions, and took us only to local spots as advertised. I contacted her earlier to ask if we could do something to celebrate my husband's birthday, so we ended at a sweets place and had cake with a candle! Elvira coordinated our arrival at Montserrat to make it as easy as possible. She then gave us valuable insight into the Abbey’s history before walking us through the excellent museum. All our party of 12 were most impressed with her knowledge of the paintings and artists. We concluded our visit with the Boys Choir singing in the Abbey. We had a fantastic tour with Elvira. I’d requested to change the meet up time and then the location before we met and Elvira was really accommodating and ensured that the change of plan would mean we’d still have an excellent tour. What an AMAZING tour of Barcelona! Not only was Elvira knowledgeable and friendly, but also so accommodating to me and my family that included 3 annoying kids! This was to be a multicultural experience but it was really a Catalan experience. The first food stop was great and well planned but the remaining stops were not well executed. She asked us what we wanted but being unfamiliar that was useless. She mentioned her budget a few too many times being this was not a bargain tour. Two of us have severe fish and seafood allergies but she didn’t get it. Also a poor communicator, I had to confirm with her the day before. Not recommended. Interesting tour of the markets

Skip the foot tours and go with Elvira! She is knowledgeable and can give you a much more encompassing tour of HER city with hidden gems so much more impressive and less known than the big tourist attractions. She has a lot of pride and love in the history of her city and it shows. One note: The bicycles have baskets, bring water. Barcelona MUST!

We spent two wonderful and exciting days with our passionate guide, and new friend Elvira! Elvira is full of life, passionate about her city and culture, sharing important information and more importantly allowing us to experience her amazing culture, food and artecture. We enjoyed biking all round Barcelona, stopping at important landmarks, enjoying meals and refreshment stops together, visit some tourist sites, but mostly off the beaten tourist path. The food tour with Elvira was one of the highlights of our family trip to Barcelona! We explored two traditional markets and La Bocadaria on La Rambla. Elvira explained the history of the markets to Barcelona and the continuing importance of these markets today. At the first market, Elvira walked us past a number of different stalls—explaining a variety of local dishes and encouraging us to pick out samples to try. Along the way, Elvira explained a lot about Catalan traditions and how these may differ from other parts of the country. We sat and enjoyed several dishes at a tapas bar in the market. The food was absolutely incredible! We took a walk through La Bocadaria on La Rambla and then on to another local market on the other side of the Cathedral of Barcelona. Similar to the first market, we wandered past several stalls and then settled in at Bar Joan to try a bunch of different dishes. Elvira was sure to pick dishes based on our tastes and interests and was eager to hear about whether we liked them or not. Elvira is passionate about her culture and Barcelona. It was wonderful to spend the day with her exploring the markets and trying new foods that as visitors we would have never thought to try. Elvira made exploring new foods easy and fun! Elvira was a fantastic guide for our food-tasting experience at some of the local markets. At each place we stopped she helped us select traditional Catalan foods to try and explained their history and significance with clear passion for her native country. We had lots to choose from and no strong preferences or aversions so we let Elvira do most of the choosing. I was impressed with she managed to quickly find space for us to sit for counter service at each place we visited despite it being busy lunchtime at clearly popular venues. Although it was a rainy day we enjoyed walking though the Raval and Gotic neighborhoods and most of the tour was indoors under covered markets. The food was delicious and Elvira shared recommendations for other places to explore in the city. We left very full and had to take some of our desserts in take-away bags!A taste of real Catalunya!
