My wife and I did the discover scuba dive experience with Kobus in Long beach in Simon’s Town. He made us feel at ease with the gear and what we were doing, we went 6 meters deep and practised the basic skills needed for this experience. He was very patient with us as it is really really hard work to deal with to inexperienced people underwater and he did it the best i could imagine, my wife tended to float and he was with her all the time, calming her down and helping her get the right breathing to stay down and she loved it! We even saw an octopus and three puffadder shysharks!. I would definitively recommend him to any of my friends who are scuba divers or anybody who wants to try the experience coming to Cape Town! Kobus is a fantastic guide. He was checking the best location for our snorkeling and made it a fantastic experience. But not only that. After the snorkeling he showed us the best penguin spots and provided us with a lot of useful infos. The best diving spots around and what to find there, where to park and safety instructions. He also was helpful with renting some weights for us. Thanx to Kobus we not only had the booked snorkel trip but a lot freediving/snorkeling sessions because of his infos. Highly professional

Kobus was a great guide! From picking us up and dropping of on time, getting the gear that fitted well to a super nice experience in the water - he was very attentive to my mom during snorkeling and dived with me to slightly deeper depth! The kelp forest was great and I think an enjoyable experience even if one doesn't see any sea creatures.We felt like we were completing a task like in the Harry Potter movie. We did see an octopus and even a penguin though. We had a really nice time. Kobus was great - easy to be around and super helpful. He took us to a great bakery down the coast and even gave us great food recommendations for later. Good fun. Great day.

I booked the snorkeling with Kobus towards the end of my stay in South Africa - and it was the perfect end to my trip. He was a perfect host and guided me safely and relaxed through the water and the kelp forest - despite the not perfect visibility underwater ;). I added a dive afterwards as I felt very comfortable and wanted more. Thanks to the tips for the rest of my short stay and the conversations out of the water between snorkeling and diving, I quickly felt welcome and like I was among friends. Definitely recommendable!Perfect end to my too short trip to ZA

We had the best time out in the sea exploring the kelp forest. It genuinely was a highlight of our trip. Kobus and Jan made everything very straightforward, safe and easy and trust me it’s something you really wanna do on your next trip! Fantastic experience
