Alex tried his best in showing and sharing stories of Berlin. He was not our chosen guide - our original guide Minha was unable to make it (despite confirming he could) and we were transferred to Seth who then bounced us to Alex. Honestly, was disappointing and was thrown off. On hindsight, I should have cancelled when Minha couldn’t make it. It was our first visit to Berlin and our first tour upon landing on Berlin. Seth was a great guide and showed me parts of the city I would not have experienced another way. I had mentioned that I was interested in the local history, architecture, and street art and he made a real effort to integrate those into our tour. I have taken another less expensive tour, but I can confidently say that you get what you pay for with a personal guide. It is worth the extra money to have someone who has a deeper knowledge of the area and can customize things for your interests. I highly recommend the K'burg tour with Seth.Fantasitc experience

She’s the best. Funny, lively, knowledgeable, curious. She took us to cool hidden places and had stories about everything. She’s an encyclopedia of contemporary art. We did a 3h walking tour of alternative Berlin. We enjoyed seeing some places we wouldn't have seen otherwise and some interesting street art. However, we felt there were very long stretches of walking that could have been replaced with a bus ride to save time to actually enjoy the sights more. We just had a few minutes at the East Side Gallery for example before walking on and by that time we were exhausted. To be fair,it was a very hot day. We finished the tour in Betty's neighbourhood which is very interesting and with lots of food options. Delicious vegan ice cream by the way! Betty gave us some good tips Overall we enjoyed the tour.Alternative Berlin

I took a tour of Kreuzberg with Miha. He’s been in Berlin for many years and he knows the city like the back of his hand. Able to point out so many interesting details that you would never notice on your own. I’ve been to Berlin several times, but he helped put a lot of it into geographical perspective for me. It was just the two of us and he was really easy to be with for over three hours. Also, his English is excellent. He knows a ton about art and artists here in Berlin, he also knows about history, and geography. Totally recommend. Friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic!

I can’t recommend this tour or Pablo more! The tour was amazing because we got to see another side of Berlin that we would not have without Pablo. While we did see some of the big tourist sites, we got a real feeling of what day to day life as a local was like. Pablo was very informative and incredibly accommodating and friendly. We booked an ‘off the beaten track tour’ with Seth. It was a great afternoon taking in many areas which you just wouldn’t see ordinarily, along with some more mainstream ones. Seth was a great guide, highly recommended and very knowledgeable about Berlin and its culture. He tailored the tour as we went so we spent some time exploring the fabulous street art, an afternoon rave and the East Side Gallery. Being on a private tour is a far better experience than joining a large group and you learn so much more about the city and the people that you are visiting.Fabulous off the beaten track tour

Having Anastasia as my guide off-the-beaten path was a mini adventure as she gave the rich history of the artist’s contributions, the immigrant’s plight, and the challenges that reunification had for all involved in these surrounding areas that contributed to what Berlin is today. I had an amazing tour with Anastasia!! I learned so much about both historical and modern day Berlin! I can’t do this tour justice in a review! Anastasia made me feel so comfortable, we immediately had a great rapport, I felt like we molded the tour together (she had a great tour laid out but based on my interests she adjusted some of the destinations and timing) and I had some amazing local treats along the way! She has a passion for street art and some of the graffiti that would’ve faded into the ambiance of Berlin now sticks out to me whenever I see it and I understand the meaning a lot more now! I have a ton of restaurants that I need to go to now and recommendations for others! I felt like this sped up my Berlin integration a ton!!! Milena was fantastic, multilingual, great with the kids (10 &5) and very popular with them, too, in fact we were sad to say good bye! She helped us gain an insiders experience of Berlin, and kept the kids entertained for 3 hours! Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain, Hackesche Hoefe, local juice stores, quirky restaurants, fashion stores, we saw it all. Some great art galleries that we would never have found. Anastasia made us discover the real underground Berlin. She has a real knowledge of street art and its artists. She showed us how Berlin is changing and gave us her point of view as a local. She talked about alternatives groups back in the soviet day, how they were fighting the system and how you could still sense that culture in some neighborhoods.
