Sintra and the Belém Quarter in Lisbon in Lisbon - 11411b34fcb14aeb355650e0c092e215

I don’t even know how to begin writing about the wonderful tour that we had in Porto with Tiago. He showed us so many local out of the way places that we would have never seen on our own. We spent some time at Armazem, a local store tasting wine, cheese and other local treats. Tiago showed us many historical places and was willing to find information about anything that he wasn’t sure about. As we wandered the streets of Porto, it felt like we had not only learned more about Porto but found a new friend in Tiago. We shared life stories and many laughs. We ended the night with a drink of Tiago’s personal port wine selection that he brought from home overlooking the city and the river after dark. It was beautiful. Thank you so much for an amazing time in an amazing city. A true taste of Porto

You can not ask for a better tour guide. Tiago was personable, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. In all my travels I have not met a better tour guide. His knowledge of the city was fantastic. His passion for the city was contagious. He was not only personable with me and my wife but patient with my 13-year-old daughter( she wanted to stop at every shoe store). He made sure he connected with each of us. We saw parts of the city we would’ve never have found. You could not ask for a better tour guide in Porto or the Duro Valley! We’re not only considered Tiago a friend but a Family member. We cannot wait to see him again next time!Tour guide to family in one day!

Walking the city with Tiago was more like being with a local friend “in the know” than a tour guide. You can tell he has a real passion for his city and the people he hosts. Tiago made the most of our time, and was very was thoughtful and accommodating with our diverse group. He took us to spots that might have been otherwise missed. Tiago ended our tour at a wonderful cafe specializing in making Portuguese tarts. He took extra time highlighting our map with more places we might like to see, including some great restaurant locations. He even answered some questions later in the day when we messaged him. If you want somebody who is flexible, informative and connected, choose Tiago for your guide.Choose Tiago

We met Tiago by the clock tower and said we couldn't do much walking. So we went to the local sunset spot, had a beer each, watched the sunset and chilled with a surprisingly large number of locals. The vibe here was awesome and fantastic to experience. We then headed to the Fado restaurant, taking in some local sights we would never have found otherwise. Dinner, again we would never have found the restaurant on our own, was a set menu with a couple of choices per course. The singing was amazing and the two guitarists were incredibly skilled. The food was excellent and we were even treated to a gratis glass of port at the end. Fado is something I would recommend every visitor to experience. Tiago was great company and kept the conversation flowing through the night.Fado and meal

Tiago was on time but I was not. He waited patiently with my friend also on the tour. The highlight for us was a visit to the Materials museum of reclaimed tiles and plaster work. Amazing that these beautiful pieces have been saved. A perfect authentic piece of Porto - the tiles are for sale. Thanks Tiago for showing us this gem. Unfortunately we had been inPorto for a day before this tour so had seen everything else. But Tiago’s take on Porto was interesting. That’s what makes with Locals special Beyond the monuments

Thiago was a really open minded guy. So he took us to really nice places and we had a perfect time together. It was like holiday with a long time friend. He was asking us what we like to see and we did it. So we really like fish and it`s not so difficult to find good fish in Portugal/Porto. But this time it was really great-one fish of the best we ever had :-). Beach, baechclub and rivertour was excellent. So book him and find out. For us it was a very relaxing and special day with several nice locations. Thanks a lot !Perfect day with perfect guide

Tiago brings joy to his tour of Porto. He’s warm, welcoming and willing to customize the experience so that it’s meaningful for you, We spend a wonderful few hours sipping coffee, meandering through the downtown, helping me to reestablish my bearings, learning where key landmarks were, get across the Dom Luis I bridge to take in the breathtaking view from a few spots and learning about the cities history and favourite places to eat and take in the cites. Time flew by and I felt as comfortable as I would with a dear friend, talking family, politics, arts and laughing and Tiago came to all of it easily. I would recommend a tour with Tiago.Excellent Tour Guide.

Tiago was amiable, explained the city in a different way than your typical standard city tour, and helped to see the city and the Portuguese in a more personal way. All in a 90 Minutes fast introduction to Porto. Recommendations.

Tiago was the first host to welcome us in Porto. After a few minutes, wandering in the streets of that beautiful and unknown city, we had the feeling we were connecting with a long time friend. The evening flew by, starting with a tour of Porto, followed by an evening in a charming restaurant where we discovered Fado with truly gifted musicians. Tiago has been an amazing host. He went above and beyond our expectations. I would recommend any of his tours to anyone looking for authentic encounters. Thank you so much! A wonderful experience with Tiago

I am writing this to my fellow musicians and music lovers who travel the world: if you are not familiar with the Fado style of music, this experience is definitely worth it. I live for finding new music at home and abroad, and this is not quite like anything else. Certainly a cousin of other European gypsy/folk, some flamenco influence, a bit of Middle Eastern melodic flow, but still something unique. Intrigued? Just do it. The venue is an intimate restaurant, yet the sound was powerful and still echoes in my ears. Fantastic! Tiago is excellent and friendly company. Worldly and genuine, and his English is perfect. Have I had fancier dinners? Yes. Was it really a, “tour?” No. If that’s what you are looking for then there are other experiences for food and tours, this is Fado. But we had a nice quick tour and dinner was tasty. Especially recommended for music lovers

I had a really enjoyable evening with Tiago on this tour. The restaurant is in a beautiful historic building with fantastic stone walls, which makes for a great atmosphere. The food and service were decent, but it was the Fado that made the night special. The music was great. The guitarists were amazing and they performed together with three different singers, all three of whom were excellent. My personal favourite was the young man ( Miguel Xavier). He sang with an exceptional passion which really gave a feel for what Fado, which apparently means 'fate', is really like. Tiago was an excellent host. He walked me around the area so that I got a bit of an orientation and gave me some fantastic tips about what to see and do and where to eat in Porto for the rest of my trip. I texted him asking for advice the next day and he swiftly responded with more recommendations. Book this trip early in your stay in Porto so you can take advantage of Tiago's knowledge of his city.Enjoyable evening
