My wife and I recently spent some time with Ellie strolling around the Sagrada Família. It was a wonderful tour. Ellie was professional and clearly very knowledgeable about the Basílica and its architect, Antoni Gaudí. Along the way, we also leaned much about Catalan culture and Barcelona itself. Ellie provided insight on what to expect and look for once inside the Basílica. From our external tour, she clearly broke down all the comprehensive (and staggering) symbolism that makes up the exterior of the church. On the heels of a 2024 trip to Italy with its many famous cathedrals and basilicas, we came to Barcelona with modest expectations for a visit to Sagrada Familia. The history and explanation Ellie provided during our tour brought the building to life and gave us an unexpected appreciation and gratitude for the basilica and all that Gaudi was trying to express in its design. From the outside in, Ellie helped us to understand the sacred beauty that has elevated Sagrada Familia to my personal favorite of all religious architecture I have experienced. Sagrada Familia in itself is an amazing experience. The guide was knowledgeable and well structured but tended to lose focus a couple of times. Based on our experience this tour seems to be overpriced - 200€ for an hour outside the church plus tickets to go inside on your own is a bit much.Knowledgeable and well structured

Ellie was absolutely wonderful in planning our private outside tour of the Basilica de la Sagrada Familia and my plan to propose to my, now fiancé. At the appropriate time and place I gave her my phone to video and take pictures. It was absolutely perfect and she was a wonderful photographer for us! The tour and information provided were top notch and made our interior visit afterwards absolutely enjoyable. I cannot recommend Ellie more highly for great communication, outstanding information and a no rush experience that absolutely made my additional request a memory we will always treasure. Ellie was great. She walked us around the exterior of the basilica and explained the significance of the structures. She provided us with historical context about Gaudi and subsequent architects. Lastly, she told us what to look for once we went into the church. By the way, tickets were sold out when we tried to get them but she was able to find tickets through a third party for us. I previously wrote a review about this tour. Everything was great about the information and insight that Ellie gave us about Sagrada Familia. Apparently I was mistaken about Ellie not accompanying us into the church. The tour did not include an inside tour of the church. I am sorry if my mistake influences anyone about booking with Ellie. She was a very good and thorough tour guide. Do not hesitate to use her for a tour of the Sagrada Familia or any other tours in Barcelona!! Very informative tour of Sagrada Famila

Ellie was a fantastic guide for Sagrada Família. Our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids ages 10 and 12) had a fantastic experience with her. Our tour with Ellie was great. Ellie was communicative from the start and accommodated a date change for us as well. Ellie gave us a great tour of the outside of the Sagrada Familia and mentioned things to look for once inside the church. Given the price of entrance tickets, the experience was worth the price. Ellie was on time, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable on the history and symbolism of the cathedral design and Gaudi”s vision for this monument as well the plans for future additions and renovations that are ongoing. We sincerely enjoyed our time with Ellie and would highly recommend her! P.S. don’t forget to download the Cathedral’s audio App so you can listen while inside the cathedral. Ellie was wonderful tour guide and was so accommodating and flexible with our schedule. She made the tour so much fun and we were amazed by the details, insights, and history as the Bible literally unfolded throughout our walk of the facades. Both the Sagrada Familia and Ellie were a highlight of our time in Barcelona. Ellie was such an informed, informative and interesting guide to this extraordinary building. Ellie was an amazing tour guide!!!!! Ellie has a great energy and made learning about the history and meaning of the Sagrada Familia interesting and fun. Our sons enjoyed all of the details and stories about Gaudi and the construction of the Basilica. Ellie was truly a master of each and every detail on the facade—and told us so many interesting details. This tour only covers the outside of the Basilica and at first I was a bit concerned that we would be missing out on having a tour of the inside; however, it was quite the opposite. Ellie explained a few of the key features that we would see inside—namely the four statues and the stained glass—and it was really nice to simply enjoy the inside of the church as our family wanted. Be sure NOT to miss the inside of the Sagrada Familia! We were very fortunate to be visiting on a sunny day and the light coming through the windows was spectacular. Ellie is a transplant from the US and has been living in Barcelona for over 20 years. We loved meeting Ellie and would highly recommend taking this, or any other tour, with her. Ellie was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, thorough and charming. The company overcharged me, though. The booking was for two people, but we were charged for three. I couldn’t find a way to contact the company directly, so a day BEFORE the tour, I asked Ellie for help or at least a contact number. She was unable to help. Not her fault. But the overcharge was outrageous.Great guide, but price overcharge!
