We had an amazing 10 tastings tour with Robyn. She was so warm and friendly and made us feel like family. She did a great job communicating before the tour and was so knowledgeable balancing our food tour with stories about the food and the history of Sydney. We tried some unique and delicious foods and had so much to eat we could hardly finish the last few tastings. It was the highlight of our time in Sydney and I can’t recommend her enough. My son, Noah(17) , and I had an 8 hour layover in Sydney. We decided to book the food tour with Robyn and are so glad we did. Robyn was an absolute gem! Her knowledge was so extensive on food, history and literally anything else we asked. She was extremely pleasant and fun to spend the day with. The curated food stops were just amazing. Sydney is a city that is a melting pot of all different cultures and we were really able to see and taste that along our tour. My only regret is I didn’t do this tour during the beginning of my trip so I could have gone back to some of these hidden gems. I consider myself a foodie, and I searched extensively for places to eat on our trip and I didn’t find any of these spots. My wife and I were in Sydney for a few days and decided to take a Foodie Tour. I had communicated with Robyn and she agreed to pick us up at our hotel. The Foodie Tour was in Newtown. Robyn was very knowledgable and personable. She was a wonderful guide. We had a great time. The food was excellent and Robyn knew some of the people who worked in the restaurants. Our group had a great time with Robyn and I'd strongly recommend this tour. We were able to sample a variety of cuisines and listen to really interesting stories and historical snippets about Sydney. The food and dessert was absolutely delicious and not something we'd have discovered by ourselves. I'd suggest going in with an open mind and an empty stomach. Since it was a rainy day, she brought the car to keep us dry during the north to south Sydney crossing. We learned a lot about Sydney, stories even our Australian family didn't know. Robin did a good job of showing us the less traveled spots like Wendy’s Secret Garden. However, she fell short on being knowledgeable about local spots to eat. We wanted a special spot for lunch and we ended up at a touristy take out. We also never got the list of an Australian Christmas dinner. We were in Sydney for 3 days and wanted to take a guide through Sydney on the 2nd day. Robyn made Sydney come alive and tangible for us. What a fabulous day we had on this food tour with Robyn! It was far more than just about food. We got to experience the local Sydney neighborhood of Newtown, learning about the area's history, culture and people as well as the food. Robyn was articulate, personable, highly knowledgeable, and interesting. She was easy to communicate with before our tour, quickly responding to my questions. My wife and I had a great day touring some of the highlights of Sydney with Robyn. We started with the Botanical Gardens and then the Sydney Opera House and Harbor Bridge. Through out Robyn explained the history and significance of all. Next we enjoyed a walk through North Sydney and then to Taronga Zoo We all were fascinated by the native animals. We had an excellent lunch along the beach at Watkins Bay. Finally we headed toward Biondi Beach. All in all we had a lovely time. I whole heartedly recommend using Robyn as she is a fantastic guide. It was our first time to Sydney. We booked the 10 tasting tour of Sydney, and it was worthwhile. Eileen was an excellent host. We visited different cafes, markets, and other food stores with her, and she provided us with a plethora of information about food we tasted. We enjoyed ourselves immensely while tasting many unique and excellent cuisines. She gave some background information and perspective regarding the local culture.
