A delicant mixture of history, architecture, culture and local food, all woven together by Yorgos astounding ability to tell stories. My little brother, not the type to be fascinated with anything but football was impressed by how much he enjoyed the tour. After the tour we all had a feeling we had gotten to know the city through a perspective that other tourists around us were not able to. There were 9 of us with Yorgos. Some have never done this type of tour before. He was super accommodating with such a large group. Yorgos gave us a meeting spot within walking distance of our hotel and it was super easy to find. We had SOOOOO much food. Everything was fantastic. Some small bites and then we sat down at a restaurant and had a feast!!! We learned the history of the food and tried so many different things. I would recommend this 100% but probably do less than 9 people lol was a bit harder to find places to sit with that many. What a fun experience!

Yorga was quite enjoyable during our food tour. He really did a wonderful job of finding unique Greek dishes for us to try since we were accustomed to the usual dishes. We were all quite pleased. My recommendations to improve the experience is to 1) assess the walking ability of the whole group as our walk to last restaurant was very long for the over 65 folks, and 2) don’t wait too long for one item. The dessert was a long wait which made the walk to final restaurant feel even longer. Would definitely recommend Jorga though. Delightful ! Fun experience

Had a good time with an experienced, relaxed and patient guide in Athens. He recommended unique Greek tastings that we would not have found on our own, while explaining bits and parts of the city on the walk between tasting locations. Our family had a lovely time walking around the streets of Athens with Yorgos. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, sharing some of his favorite spots to enjoy local cuisine. After having spent the morning in the crowded Acropolis area, it was a pleasure to take a more leisurely walk around the city. Yorgos is very cheerful. Right off the start he had us laughing as we walked to our first destination. He told us fun stories about Athens, but also took the time to answer our questions. Yorgos also did something we have never experienced on other food tours. He asked us what we have already eaten so that he could take us to eat food we had not tried before. The length of the tour was perfect, as well as the timing between stops. The food that we tried was new to us, as well as delicious. We were looking forward to meeting up with Yorgos, but our travel agency screwed up, and delayed our arrival, then moved their planned tour to conflict with our Booking with Yorgos. So we did not get to our arranged food tour. We apologized, for the screw-up, and asked for some recommendation's the following day, we made two dinner reservations, and enjoyed lunch in Plaka based on his advice. Would have been nice If things had worked out, but life happens … Maybe next time Chaged itinerary

Yorgos was fantastic! He started the tour by asking about our interests and what we were most interested in seeing in the city. He took us around to see the local markets and shops, as well as some of the historical sites. He was very informative about the city, the history, and the ancient mythology of Greece. Touring with Yorgos was the first thing we did when we arrived in Athens. It was the perfect way to quickly get familiar with the city. Yorgos was perfectly on time at the meeting point. He asked us about our preferences, foodwise and showed us some excellent places to eat around the marketplace as well as in the outskirts of the Psirri area and a little away from the beaten tracks where the locals dined. We had several tastings on the tour and an interesting conversation about the Greek way of living and family structures as well as some talk about the old bulidings in Athens. Yorgos has a nice sense of humor and is very easy going company. Perfect stroll through Athens

The tour was a 10 out of 10. The food selections of gyros, naklava, olives, Mezes like hot feta, giant beans and more were amazing. Yorgos catered to my cow's milk allergy and provided options that I could eat that were amazing. His options were so good we went back the next day to some of the other places recommended that were also winners. We booked this tour as we wanted a more localized food tour and were extremely pleased with the neighborhood, restaurants and food selected. Struggling with a cow's milk allergy Yorgos picked selections that I could eat that were amazing. The white cheeses in Greece are made with sheep and goat's milk and are so good. All the selections were amazing and Yorgos was great company. He made us laugh all evening. It was like going out with a good friend. We had trouble finding the meeting point in the rain, so Yorgos kindly came to find us instead. Since this was not our first day in the city, Yorgos customized our experience to avoid seeing things we already had and walked at our pace (slow). We had a wonderful stroll through the market to find the items we were looking for, before Yorgos showed us around the Plaka district, then to see the changing of the guard in Syntagma Square as requested. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the city, did not rush, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. He even spent extra time to walk us to a nearby spot for refreshments after our tour!Nice way to see the city!

First this sweet man had to wait almost an hour on us due to delay at airport. Then we had a great late night food/pub crawl with this incredible host. The authentic restaurant was the best meal we ate in Athens and cheapest! Then we stopped by two bars. Very lively but very different! Drinks, music and dancing continued until wee hours. We all agreed it was our best night in Athens. He is very knowledgeable, personable and welcome to designing our evening based on our likes. Do this first night, then you know where to return.
