Just had a brilliant afternoon in Triana, exploring the market and local tapas bars with Mabel. She brought us off the beaten track to places she likes to go herself, recommended dishes and drinks, as well as giving us lots of insight into Seville and Spanish culture. We did the Taste of Triana - Market & Tapas Experience with Elena. It was a fantastic experience with the best combination of food, wine and history. Elena had an intimate knowledge of the Triana Markets and so was able to show us around and order us tapas dishes, cheeses, salads and other local delicacies that we would never would have thought of ordering. She also introduced us to local wines and spirits that we had never experienced before. Elena’s personality was bubbly and gregarious - she had a great sense of humour and nothing was too much trouble. The experience with Elena was one of the best highlights of our visit to Seville. The best experience!!

My husband and I had a great time with in La Algaba with Jose. We started our tour with me taking an hour long horse back ride with one of Jose's friends while he and my husband shared a cerveza. Cecilia was our guide for the 10 tastings of Seville tour. We could tell right away that we were in good hands, her friendliness and engaging personality made us comfortable and conversation easy. Cecilia was not only interested in telling us about the Triana neighborhood we were in but also wanted to hear about where we were from. The tour started with some history about Triana and Seville. Then we walked through the Triana market where a variety of fish, meats, vegetables and fruits are sold. From there we made our first stop where we tasted several dishes, potatoes with mayonnaise, aubergine with molasses and lentils with chickpeas. Next was an assortment of hams, sausage, and cheeses. From there we tried a pork sandwich and some squid. Last on the tour was dessert from a pastry shop. All of the places were small local merchants who were happy to host us. We would strongly recommend Cecilia for any tour because ours was wonderful.Triana tastings

Jose Andres showed us many different facets of Seville. With stops at the Cathedral of Seville and the church of the Macarena, as well as City Hall, the parliament building, the Esplanada de España. At each stop Jose Andres gave us historical information or interesting facts. We visited the newer part of Seville where some of the popular night spots are. He always pointed out the beautiful architecture along the way like the Alfonso XIII hotel, and the Roman and Arabic walls around the city. All in all it was a great way to learn about Sevilla and which locations at which to spend our time.Getting the lay of the land

A delightful experience. Elena superbly guided us through some wonderful iconic sights, & hidden gems. It was terrific to share stories of our respective countries. Elena showed genuine curiosity & interest in our country, as we did hearing & learning from her. Given the heat in Seville, it was a welcome respite to visit the Convent & have lovely home- baked biscuits by the Nuns & have coffee in the nearby bar. Elena was fantastic! She took us to several different stops with a variety of flavors and explained the historical and cultural context of each dish and paired it well with drinks appropriate for the taste and the locale. Each place was clearly the favorite of locals as opposed to a tourist spot. Elena not only had deep knowledge of the wine and drink selections but also explained the cultural nuances of our surroundings. She also explained a lot about Flamenco and its origins and histories as well as the Andalusian language living right in front of us! Very much worth the value! Cecilia is an excellent guide. She was very sensitive to our preferences and designed a tour that felt like it was just for us. Cecilia has a welcoming and calm personality, made an effort to get to know us personally, and was adept in answering all of our questions. She also knows her Spanish and Seville history. Cecilia gave us the kind of tour you hope for but almost never get. It was just me, my wife, and her — no crowds, no umbrellas to follow, just real conversation, some amazing food, and a walk through Seville with someone who actually lives it. We booked the tour during Feria, and instead of sprinting through monuments, we went for a more laid-back vibe: eat some good food, see the city, and get to know our guide a little. Cecilia nailed it. She's passionate, full of stories, thoughtful, and funny — the kind of person who drops knowledge mid-conversation without making it feel like a lecture. Also, she was genuinely surprised to learn we’re grandparents, which we’ll be riding high on for a while. Toward the end of the tour, we happened to walk through a quiet street just as the Feria fireworks finale kicked off. Cecilia led us to the bridge where everyone gathers to watch — an incredible, unexpected moment. Not saying she planned it… but she’s a musician, so we’re guessing her timing was no accident. Bottom line: book her. Unless you’re deeply opposed to great company and cool experiences.Great evening!

We had such a happy fun tour with Jose. He was totally brilliant and took us to all the fun bars and restaurants, which weren't the usual tourist traps. He was so enthusiastic and fun and my teenage children really enjoyed his company. We walked over the bridge to Triana and he showed us the colourful buildings and the new and old architecture, the ceramic museum and local restaurants and tapas bars. He was so much fun and I would definitely recommend him to my friends. The tour with him was the highlight of our trip to Andalucia.A really fun tour of Seville.

Elena provided us with a fantastic food tour experience in Triana. We tried lots of different foods and drinks, and were very full by the end of the tour. Elena also gave a lot of great historical background information on the food and neighborhood. Elena has training in gastronomy/wine, in addition to being born and raised in Seville, making her a fantastic tour guide. The one area for improvement would be around organization. Elena reached out to reschedule our tour the day before, which luckily we were able to accommodate. We loved Elena! She is so warm, professional and deeply knowledgeable about her home town. We had such an amazing time that we booked her again for the following day! Seamlessly integrating information about history, culture, and food, she deeply enriched our visit to Sevilla. We learned and experienced things that we would never have had access to otherwise — for example, a bar steeped in the history of flamenco as a form of artistic resistance that served an exclusive variety of orange wine and a fantastic dish of pork prepared in an Arabian style. Everywhere we went we were warmly welcomed because we were with her. We did not encounter tourists or other guides at any of our food stops. Elena was also very generous with recommendations and answers to our questions beyond the time that we spent with her. This tour was the perfect start for our short trip to Sevilla! Jose Andres did a wonderful job of showing us around around town and treating us to a huge number of culinary highlights. We started out in Triana and made our way across the bridge for the full Sevilla experience. The mix between learning about the city’s history and at the same time getting to taste the local cuisine was just what we were hoping for. Jose was such an incredible host! He not only introduced us to local dishes and drinks in traditional bars and restaurants, he also gave us plenty of recommendations for the rest of our trip. Elena was an AMAZING guide for our food tour of Seville. She was very knowledgeable, super friendly, fun and eager to accommodate our specific requests.
