My wife & I experienced a wonderful private pintxos walking tour with Laura. We came into the Port of Bilbao on an Oceania cruise ship and met her in the old city at a specified meeting spot. She asked us our food preferences and adapted the tour to them. We sampled at least the amount called for of pintxos and drinks. The pintxos were all excellent! Prior to heading back to the port, we wanted to visit the Guggenheim Museum to check out the architecture and dog topiary. Laura walked there with us as a surprise that we loved We taxied back to the port, completing a wonderful tour of great value. Quality Time With Laura

Jessica was zeer vriendelijk en vertelde superenthousiast over Bilbao en alle hapjes en drankjes die ze ons voorschotelde. We spraken af op Plaza Nueva om er meteen vanaf te gaan en de kleine straatjes van Bilbao in te trekken. Daar kregen we in bars die de Bilbainos frequenteren de lekkerste hapjes: chorizo-worstjes, lams, champignons, cider, vermouth en ga zo maar door. Wat een fantastische ervaring! Ons gezin (met 4 studerende kinderen) heeft met Mabel een food tour gemaakt door de oude wijk van Bilbao. Vanaf het eerste moment was het genieten: van pintxosbarretje naar pintxosbarretje liet Mabel ons proeven van alle lokale specialiteiten, terwijl ze vol enthousiasme vertelde over haar stad, de geschiedenis, de cultuur en – natuurlijk – haar geliefde voetbalclub. Jéssica was the perfect host. She took us to some amazing pintxos bars that we would never have gone to alone. Authentic food, freshly made, and surrounded by locals. On every stop Jéssica explained why the dish was special, and how it was made. She used the food as part of a narrative to explain Bilbao’s culture and history, and the new culinary influences coming from a more diverse population in recent decades. A fascinating evening that we enjoyed far more than the dull Michelin-rated restaurant we had dinner in the following night! Highly recommended. Wonderful food, wonderful host

We were 45 minutes late -- our fault and she was very patient and waited for us. She took us to great places and the explanations about the pinxtos and culture and history were very, very good, enhancing our experience. Because we were late, we do not believe that we had 10 pinxtos unless you count the wine as a pinxto. The price was very expensive given the cost of the food and drinks. We know the company sets the price, but given the cost of food/wine, it was too expensive. The tour should have cost $65 per person, not $100pinxtos tour

Wir haben bei Mabel im April 2025 die "10 Tastings..." Tour für 2 Personen gebucht. Die Führung enthielt zahlreiche Pinxtos und diverse Drinks in verschiedenen Bars. Dazwischen hat uns Mabel die Geschichtet Bilbaos und zahlreiche Sights sehr kurzweilig näher gebracht. Keine Frage blieb unbeantwortet. Mabel ist sehr sympathisch und wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Sie spricht perfekt deutsch und hat nebenbei meine Spanisch-Kenntnisse verbessert. Für die nächsten Tag in Bilbao erhielten wir viele Tipps und Anregungen. We chose the 10 Tastings in Bilbao in order to learn more about the local culture and foods. Laura was our guide and could not have done a better job. She treated us like family, taught us about the local foods, and was very patient with our slower style of movement. She thought of everything as our food tour progressed from breakfast type foods to more hearty dishes. She even brought an extra umbrella for us to use since we were visiting from a cruise ship. Realizing our time was limited because of the cruise, Laura took us to the Guggenheim and assisted with a taxi back to our ship. These are things that were not part of the tour, but shows the passion Laura has for people. I highly recommend her as your next guide. She was amazing!10 Tastings in Bilboa

Bilbao was a stop on our cruise itinerary and we weren't sure what to do so I checked out 'WithLocals' and found the 10 tastings tour. We thought this would be a good way to learn more about the city an introduce our children to different foods. Mabel met us by the giant puppy at the Guggenheim and walked us through the city sharing the history from a local perspective. We stopped at 4 different places to try local specialities. She was very helpful explaining both the sites and the different foods. We did this tour with our 3 kids, age 13, 15 & 17 and it was perfect for them! Our one daughter is still talking about the Spanish tortillas at the last stop! A taste of Bilbao

Eins vorweg: Mabel war eine wunderbare, sehr freundliche Reiseführerin und hat die Tour kurzweilig gestaltet. Allerdings lautet die Tour „10 Tastings…“; wir waren allerdings nur in 2 Pinxtos Bars. Zurück von der Tour haben wir die Beschreibung vorsichtshalber noch einmal geprüft und hiernach eine Reklamation an den Veranstalter gesendet. Leider haben wir bis heute keine Antwort erhalten, sehr schade.Der Titel entsprach nicht der Tour

We had such a fantastic day exploring Bilbao with our guide! The tour gave us a real sense of the city’s transformation from its industrial past to the vibrant cultural hub it is today. The Guggenheim Museum was a highlight, with great insights into its history and exhibits. And of course, we loved meeting Jeff Koons’ giant floral “Puppy” outside! From there, we explored the Old Town, the oldest restaurant in Bilbao, the lively Mercado de la Ribera, Plaza Nueva, and the peaceful Iglesia de San Antonio Abad. Santiago was really a wonderful guide. Being a basque himself he showed me the most important towns of the Basque Country, i.e. Bilbo, Gernika and Donostia, with great enthusiasm, excellent knowledge and absolute motivation.
