We started our food tour at 10.30am. The guide took us on a walking tour for an hour and a half, she was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. However, we didn’t eat or drink anything until our first stop around 12. This included a taste of local cows cheese, mostcatel and Russian salad. We then moved on to the market, where we stopped at 3 places, having goats cheese, local thinly sliced roast pork and wine at the first place, chicharrones at the second stop and ham croquets at the third stop. Despite the fact that we previously noted that one of the party was gluten intolerant and couldn’t eat fish, we feel that there weren’t many options to cater for them and that the rest of the party’s options were limited because of this. We were also expecting some more local tastings and something sweet to end the tour. Although the guide was lovely and showed us some interesting places, we feel this tour fell short of our expectations for 10 tastings and from previous experiences, including the lack of variety of foods tasted. The whole tour was fab. We did exactly what we had planned. Christina was great company very knowledgeable and fun. We tried local food and wine within the local market that we would not have known about so definitely would not be tried. The atmosphere at the market was great. We also saw sights including the Anthi Theatre. Overall I would recommend Christina as a great guide/host. Fabulous Tour

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Joanna made our time in Cádiz unforgettable. She customized the tour based on things we wanted. We loved that she took us off the tourist path and ordered things for us to try. Delighted to have joined Joanna’s food tasting tour. For over 3 hours she offered us a unique insight into the history, culture, traditions and gastronomy of Cádiz. She has a wealth of information to hand and conveys her love of this region with great passion. I am deliberately not posting details of the food and drinks that we sampled because that would spoil the fun ! Suffice to say that all tastings were bespoke to Cádiz so that uniqueness added so much more value to the experience. Joanna shared anecdotes, maps, restaurant and bar recommendations with us then forwarded details of all food, beverages and establishments visited the following day. Adrian was a delightful, friendly, knowledgeable, informative and 'fun to be with' guide. Every establishment we visited had marvellous food, generous drinks and a friendly welcome. We sampled so many different delicious dishes, lunch lasted from 12.00 midday until 3.30! I was particularly impressed by Adri's enthusiasm for Cadiz and her ability to adapt to the circumstances. We were passing a stall in the market (she expected to be closed) that had just opened so we stopped there because the anchovy skewers are so good.. Thank you Adri for a wonderful afternoon. We had a fantastic food tour with Joanna. It could not have been better. She sent very clear directions on the meeting place and even though the place was crowded due to a festival, it was easy to find her. Joanna's has an excellent knowledge of the city and provided informative details of Cadiz history during the tour. Our stops were very well organized, even though it was a busy Saturday, and included sherry, olives, oysters, paella, local meats, and desserts. Joanna was a very effective guide. We toured the old city and hit many of the must see places stopping for a variety of drinks, cava, a variety of local white wines sherry, vermouth…. Also had a lovely varied tapas stop and our dietary restrictions were respected. A final stop for the local version of flan was just right. Joanna was a complete joy!!! Our two hours went by too fast. From the moment she reached out to us to check on any dietary restrictions, or to find out if we had any time constraints, she was very focused on ensuring we would have a great experience. She shared fun stories about each of the local spots she took us to. She engaged with our daughters and kept us all in mind as we tried different local foods. We were sad to have our tour end. My family of four just returned from a cruise to Spain and the UK. Instead of opting for the typical cruise shore excursions, we booked unique experiences with individual guides. Recently we did a food tour with Adri. It’s great way to get introduced to food you may not order e.g. Cazón en adobo especially if you aren’t a fluent Spanish speaker. The food in the central Market was amazing - as was the vermouth to wash it down. Adri was great also explaining about general day to day life in Cádiz as well as giving us the history background. After the tour she messaged with the name of everything we had eaten so we knew how to order it again and also a list of restaurants/ wine bars she recommended. We had group of 21 and Cristia was wonderful with us. We had a 3 hour walking tour which turned into a 4 hour tour as there was so much to see and Cristina was so entertaining. She even took us to a local spot for us to try muscatel and danced for us. Cristina was super responsive from the moment I sent in my first inquiry to the time she met us at the cruise port.
