Last Friday we did an evening food tour with Laura and it was fantastic! We enjoyed the food so much that when we were back in Frankfurt last night for our last night, we headed back to some of the same places Laura had taken us to so we could have the food again before heading home :)Beautiful night in Frankfurt!

Laura was great! It was a wonderful mix of local culture, history and yummy food. I was not given the option to join a group so I had to book one on my own. As a single person it was quite expensive, but I knew hopping on a tour when I first get into a new city is priceless. I appreciate the flexibility when booking a private tour, but I would love to have options with With Locals to join a group as a single traveler at a lower price. I am giving a price-value rating 10/10 because I don't want this to affect Laura's rating, but I would like to really rate it 5/10 for a 3 hour walking tour at over $400.Would highly recommend!

Can't say enough positives about Laura. We booked this food tour on a Sunday without knowing that really nothing is open on Sundays. I wish we would have been told that before the tour. Laura tried her best to entertain us as it became a walking tour of a closed city. Laura did her best with what she had to work with. She's very informative and we enjoyed her time but this wasn't the tour we thought we were doing. Frankfurt is closed on Sundays

Jihad emailed me as soon as I booked the trip. He was welcoming and reached out the day before to confirm and sent me his direct info so we could connect easily. He even met up with my group in a spot very convenient for us! Once the tour began, Jihad asked us what we were most interested in food wise and helped provide suggestions. We had delicious food and drinks that were unique to Frankfurt and its culture. He took us all around Frankfurt and gave us a full history and background of the city. I don’t think I can begin to say how amazing Jihad was. For a first time in Germany, this was the best decision we could’ve made was booking this food tour. We were late due to airlines problems. Jihad was wonderful and communicated well with us. We got off on wrong train station and he came to meet us. His knowledge and history of Frankfurt was amazing. I booked a tour with Ahmed & am beyond glad I did!! Within 10 minutes, I felt like I was touring the city & getting insights into the city from not only a local, but with one of my good friends!! Not only was the day a blast and I got to see many sights, but I was impressed with Ahmed’s deep and vast knowledge of everything in Frankfurt- from the history and culture, to the food, the buildings, architecture etc. highly recommend to any travelers that want a comprehensive crash course into Frankfurt as a city and it’s food from an extremely knowledgeable, kind, empathetic and articulate guide who quickly becomes a dear friend for the day. We had a wonderful visit of Frankfurt with Sascha. He met us at our hotel. Our tour started with a ride on the city’s tram system - it was quite useful when we later used it on our own. Our tour was very much in the tone of a conversation. Sascha quickly assessed what our interests were, and our visit of Frankfurt was made much more interesting because of this. I had a great time touring with Laura. Frankfurt was especially busy with tourists (like me) but we were able to meet up and had a good tour. I was able to see the Christmas villages, go to an amazing market, stroll through Roman ruins, and a number of other places. She knew of some quieter less traveled places which were beautiful and serene. We also tried some food from a famous sausage stand along the way. Laura was generous with her recommendations and time and I enjoyed the tour. Would recommend.Great time exploring Frankfurt

We really enjoyed our time with Shene, especially since she was willing to show us around as a fill in for our original reservation. We were able to get a lesson in Frankfurts history, important sites & fun facts. We saw beautiful Churches, great view points & hidden gems that we would never have seen on our own. Laura has been a great guide and besides the usual famous spots, has also shown us places in Frankfurt where we definitely would not have gone on our own. The 3-hour tour was just right and well-paced for walking. The local snack from a stall with an 80-year old history was simply delicious. Laura was also most accommodating. Helena was a super nice lady. However, we had planned on a pub and food tour (as advertised on her listing), but it was immediately clear that it was a city tour, and she said that it was her intention for the evening. It was pretty clear that she wasn’t totally knowledgeable on the food and bars in the city, and was shocked when we confronted her about wanting to go to bars/get food. It was the complete opposite of what we wanted. The only thing I found a bit off putting about her was that she didn’t introduce herself to the group, and said that she didn’t want to ask our names because she said she wouldn’t remember. Again - overall a nice lady, but I would be VERY clear about your expectations prior to the tour. Once we made our expectations clear she did take us to a cool bar and multiple Christmas markets. I would overall say the tour was miss-labeled and just be clear of your expectations when you book her.Nice Woman - Incorrect Advertising

I’ll start this review by saying that our guide was very pleasant, warm and friendly. I’m giving this review only to alert others, not to discredit our guide. We booked this walking food tour because we enjoy the experience of learning about different food cultures by strolling a city and enjoying treats at pre-booked eateries, delis, bakeries, etc. My husband and I have done several throughout Europe. This particular tour was the most expensive we’ve done (€200 per person) but we decided to shell out the euros because it was called “The 10 Tastings of Frankfurt” and the description said that we would “hop from one food hot spot to the other”. It became immediately clear that we would NOT be sampling different items at different places. When I questioned this I was told that it was never the premise of this tour. Huh?? Instead we would be going to one restaurant to basically have a meal in which we could sample different things. (Hmmmm. My husband and I could do that on our own. And for much less money.) To the guides’s credit she did try to take us to another spot first but it was after their normal trading hours. Something a guide should be aware of in advance. Unfortunately the weather conditions were not favourable - it was raining, windy and chilly. Our very nice guide l did not have a grasp of the geography and frequently asked directions from strangers on the street. It felt that we were just wandering around. After our meal we cut the tour short when she suggested we walk to another place she wanted us to visit the next day (but wasn’t sure how to get there). We’d already told her multiple times that we would not be doing any additional sightseeing as we had other plans. At that point we stopped the tour and grabbed a cab back to the hotel. In summary we had a satisfying meal. One that I’m sure we could have had by making our own booking and any one of Frankfurt’s many restaurants. And we would have spent MUCH LESS than €400. I would have rated this even lower had our guide not have been as warm, friendly and pleasant. Not what I expected.

Helena was super communicative from immediately following the booking. I let her know I was traveling with my parents who are older and slower to walk, and she very much accommodated that in her tour. We had such a short amount of time in Frankfurt that she even created step by step videos on how we get to the local trains from the airport so we can easily get to our starting point. She put in a lot of effort in creating a tour so we could see it all in a few hours. Super communicative, thoughtful tour

A long layover gave us an opportunity to take a tour and Sacha did it well. He provided good, helpful instructions on meeting him and communicated well. My group was given a well-rounded tour that covered history, insights, and eating opportunities. Sascha is interesting, has a good sense of humor, was comfortable to talk with on all subjects, and gave us options of things to see based on our interests. The pace of the tour was perfect - we were happy not to be herded about and never felt rushed. Sascha was responsive to our group and it was time well spent!Well done!
