Great tour! Sampling everything Frankfurt has to offer. Laura is an incredible guide who knows all of the local cuisine. We never felt like we were at a tourist spot! Everything from local bakeries, apple wine and pretzels to the best sausage in Germany!Wow!

Laura was great! It was a wonderful mix of local culture, history and yummy food. I was not given the option to join a group so I had to book one on my own. As a single person it was quite expensive, but I knew hopping on a tour when I first get into a new city is priceless. I appreciate the flexibility when booking a private tour, but I would love to have options with With Locals to join a group as a single traveler at a lower price. I am giving a price-value rating 10/10 because I don't want this to affect Laura's rating, but I would like to really rate it 5/10 for a 3 hour walking tour at over $400.Would highly recommend!

Can't say enough positives about Laura. We booked this food tour on a Sunday without knowing that really nothing is open on Sundays. I wish we would have been told that before the tour. Laura tried her best to entertain us as it became a walking tour of a closed city. Laura did her best with what she had to work with. She's very informative and we enjoyed her time but this wasn't the tour we thought we were doing. Frankfurt is closed on Sundays

Jihad emailed me as soon as I booked the trip. He was welcoming and reached out the day before to confirm and sent me his direct info so we could connect easily. He even met up with my group in a spot very convenient for us! Once the tour began, Jihad asked us what we were most interested in food wise and helped provide suggestions. We had delicious food and drinks that were unique to Frankfurt and its culture. He took us all around Frankfurt and gave us a full history and background of the city. We were late due to airlines problems. Jihad was wonderful and communicated well with us. We got off on wrong train station and he came to meet us. His knowledge and history of Frankfurt was amazing. I booked a tour with Ahmed & am beyond glad I did!! Within 10 minutes, I felt like I was touring the city & getting insights into the city from not only a local, but with one of my good friends!! Not only was the day a blast and I got to see many sights, but I was impressed with Ahmed’s deep and vast knowledge of everything in Frankfurt- from the history and culture, to the food, the buildings, architecture etc. highly recommend to any travelers that want a comprehensive crash course into Frankfurt as a city and it’s food from an extremely knowledgeable, kind, empathetic and articulate guide who quickly becomes a dear friend for the day. If you’re expecting a traditional food tour focused on generous tastings and the stories behind them, this one is a little different. The food portion took place entirely at a single busy market. We waited about 20 minutes while the guide gathered small samples from various vendors, then everything was set out for us to try at once, with minimal explanation of the dishes or their cultural significance. The portions were quite modest — unlike most food tours where you leave feeling full, this one felt light, especially considering the price. After the tasting, the tour shifted into a walking history tour of the area. The guide was knowledgeable about the city’s landmarks and delivered this section well. Some of her commentary on German culture felt a little off-tone, and dessert was a scoop of ice cream — enjoyable, but a missed opportunity to showcase one of the many authentic German sweets. Overall, I’d recommend this guide for those primarily interested in a cultural walking tour. But if your main goal is a full, immersive Frankfurt food experience, you may want to consider other options.Light Bites, Lots of Walking

I had the opportunity to spend a few hours with Ahmed during a long layover. He was exceptionally helpful guiding me through the train system to reach our meeting point. When we finally met he was very flexible with our plans and tailored the tour to meet my expectations. I booked this tour for immediately after landing in Frankfurt preceding the rest of my stay. Shene was very knowledgeable and friendly and allowed me to choose the pace and topics that she covered AND she was very patient with my jet lag. She also made sure that I would like the food items she selected before ordering them I would absolutely recommend her tour. He not only took us to try great food but he told us about the history of the city; both good and bad. He obviously loves his city ad his job, and he showed it constantly. We have 3 kids and have found a “food tour” is a good way to get some local history, while having little food intermissions to keep the kids from getting bored. Penny was an excellent host, knew all sorts of city history, patiently answered the kids questions, gave lots of nuanced and interesting tid bits…and we got to try several interesting and tasty items from local cuisine. The walking is minimal and flat (if that’s important for you). Penny also gave us several recommendations on other places to visit in the city during our trip. We had a wonderful visit of Frankfurt with Sascha. He met us at our hotel. Our tour started with a ride on the city’s tram system - it was quite useful when we later used it on our own.
