Gemma was so wonderful with helping plan the tour and all the extra touches for my wife and I as we were celebrating a wedding anniversary. Candles, chocolates and treats! She was great in giving us an informative introduction into Old Town, the history, and of course Game of Thrones sites. Her restaurant and tastings recommendations have been spot on as we continue to eat our way thru Girona. Between Gemma’s awesome tour and Girona FC winning their game, our day was perfecto!So many wonderful surprises

Walking around Girona with Mar was just like taking a stroll with a very knowledgeable friend. We had written to Mar that we were very interested in gastronomi, local cuisine, restaurants etc so this was included in the tour as well. we had an enthusiastic and detail filled tour of girona’s jewish quarter with gemma. she went beyond delivering the usual facts making sure we had everything we needed for our physical, emotional, and intellectual comfort, and insisted on ensuring we didn’t get lost on our way back to barcelona. she didn’t miss a detail. we felt very well taken care of and like we had made a new life long friend. jewish girona with gemma—so great!

I have already sent these comments directly to Gemma, who was very knowledgeable and good at assisting my disabled husband. Overall, the tours were ok, but very overpriced. We understand that private tours are more expensive than group tours, but these were definitely overpriced.Overpriced!

We had a wonderful tour experience with Gemma in Girona Spain. She was very friendly and personable! She was very knowledgeable of the area and sites and we loved the Game of Thrones aspect to it. We had a wonderful tour with Mar. Her knowledge of the city of Girona and the Costa Brava area is excellent. She pointed out many details that we would have overlooked without her. Her English was excellent and she was eager to answer our questions. She pointed out some of her favourite shops, bakeries and restaurants, along with the history of Girona. It was so nice to have someone whose family has lived in the area for several generations. Outstanding tour with Mar! Mar is extremely knowledgeable of Girona - history, architecture and the culture! She was very attentive to our needs. She contacted us prior to the tour to confirm. When she learned we were arriving via train, she changed the meeting location to accommodate us. She met us at the train station and had a driver with her (Sergio, her husband) who drove us to the old city for the start of our tour. We were delighted to meet Sergio and asked him to join us. Mar and Sergio are both warm and engaging, we walked through the old medieval walled city and the Roman remains of the fortress. It felt like an afternoon strolling with family. We learned much of Girona’s history as well as the history of her family and there significant contributions to the city of Girona! In addition, she is knowledgeable as to the locations of where the Game of Throne’s were filmed. My husband and I are both architects and interested in the history - we found Mar exceptionally knowledgable and would highly recommend her! We were so fortunate to have gotten to know Mar and Sergio! Truly phenomenal tour!!Outstanding Girona walking tour with Mar!
