The afternoon food tour was our first proper experience of Marrakech and were instantly put at ease meeting Adil. The tour with Lhussaine was fantastic. He showed me the authentic Marrakesh, away from the usual tourist routes. I was able to try a wide variety of unfamiliar dishes and was delighted by their taste and preparation. It was a unique tasting of sweet and savoury dishes. Without Lhoussaine, I would not have dared to try many things and than I would have missed out on so much. All my questions about food and culture were answered in detail. We did the fabulous food tasting tour with Omar and had a really great time! We are a family with two teens, 17 and 12. I made the mistake of booking a tour at 3 pm and Omar contacted us beforehand to politely ask if we would like to delay the start. We were very grateful for his common sense! Omar is a knowledgeable and ethical tour guide. He took us to some lovely places we would never have found and gave us a great insight into Moroccan culture. The food was lovely and we were very full by the end. Our boys are foodies so that part of the tour was always going to be appreciated, however they also enjoyed all the other information. The Herbalism shop was a big hit with all of us. The presentation was educational and no pressure at all to buy anything. We did because the products are lovely! Very glad we did this tour at the beginning of our journey. It will help us appreciate the Moroccan experience even more.Insightful tour

We did the street food tour with Lhoussaine. Our tour was adjusted instead of private it was in a group. We were informed about this in time. It was a great guide who really let us enjoy the tasty things in Marrakesh. Super friendly and nothing was too much. Even more information about other things you wanted to know. From the moment we met Ouidad we knew we were in very good hands. She is an amazing lady with a true passion for this amazing city. We were on a food tour but every moment was an experience we learnt so so much about the city, its culture and its people. We ate amazing foods but felt so full we were concerned about food waste but were reassured that all food would be repurposed and would find a good home. Juice to amazing sweet treats to olives to crepes to amazing lamb and much more. We also took in argon oils and similar. We had a fantastic food tour with our local guide Adil. There was so much food on the tour we needed a lie down in the afternoon! Plenty of stops for authentic sweet and savoury snacks and a tasty chicken tagine at the end. It was also good visiting a local market to see the range of food, spices and craft goods for sale. Omar was an interesting and informative guide, who showed us parts of the Medina that we wouldn't have found, and gave us the confidence to return and explore by ourselves. However, he rushed us through the souks and seemed frustrated when we stopped to take in the sights and atmosphere. We were 20 minutes late meeting him due to our bus being late, but I had forewarned him that this may happen. His food choices were not the best for us sadly. Firstly we had a delicious savoury msemmen and herbal tea cooked by a wonderful lady, but the main five tastes at the next venue were greasy, cold and totally unappetising. We were then rushed on to share a mere six tiny sweet treats between four of us. We declined the soup offer after that☹️ The herbalist was good fun and entertaining, so all was not lost!memorable experience

My family, 2 adults and 2 kids (ages 12 and 9), just finished a day of touring and tasting our way through Marrakech with Adil. We simply could not have had a better experience! I’d highly recommend Elhoussaine’s tour - and I just wish we’d booked it for the first day of our holiday as it was the perfect way to discover hidden bits of the old town. Elhoussaine took us to see the local areas beyond the obvious tourist streets. We tried food we wouldn’t have been brave enough to taste (sheep’s head etc) on our own, and ventured into cafes we’d just have walked past. We loved it all. But even more than the food we enjoyed an adventure with a charming, friendly, interesting guide. Elhoussaine shared personal stories and facts about Morocco and its people, history and culture as we walked. He was so kind in bringing a gluten free pancake for my husband so he didn’t miss out on anything, and he made sure we were all happy and engaged throughout. A very memorable and enjoyable few hours. What can I say? 10/10 experience. Omar is not only savvy and knowledgable about the local food in Marrakesh, he also navigates the city like he designed it. I wish I could remember the names of the street food we tried during the tour but I'll leave that to you to find out. Top tip: A dried fish sandwich with all sorts of extras and sauces on top. I melted and went to food heaven. Omar also taught us a lot about conventions and traditions in Morocco, which we found not only interesting but also helpful. His English is impeccable, I think he's some sort of secret language wizzard. Anyways - book him, you won't regret it. I will keep his contact so next time we can do another one of the tours together. Fantastic food tour!

We booked a sightseeing and a food tasting tour with Jafaar back to back - asking him to combine them so we got some food between seeing the sites. But it was Eid and almost everything was closed. But he suggested we start in the afternoon on the first day of Eid and we were able to see a number of sites. Then we regrouped the next day to finish up when more things were open. He was able to give us the best experience despite the obstacles of the holiday. And his explanation of the history for the sites was very impressive and really brought things to life!Fabulous tours!
