Emma was very knowledgable, great company and interesting to spend time with. Really friendly and made us feel at ease immediately. We wandered the sites and took in all the sounds and flavours of the city. We visited restaurants, cafes, bars, wines bars and gelatos - most of which we wouldn’t have discovered for ourselves - some real hidden gems. We enjoyed each immensely and realised Emma had worked out our interests and took us to the places that best matched. Pisa can take a bit of working out. We were a group of 12 women (friends, relatives) who did the Pisa walking taste tour with Sara. Sara was a good communicator at the time of booking (where I could park & the meeting spot). She was on time to the meeting place and very friendly. She does a great job of explaining the local sites and taking you to some amazing places for tasting. We were all stuffed by the time our tour was over. We all loved Sara as our guide! 💕 I had previously visited Pisa in 2005 on a cruise ship stop on a Pisa tour booked through the ship. I did not want to return to Pisa because I was not impressed with my last visit, but the other 11 had not been to Pisa so we booked a tour with Sara. We had a great food tour of Pisa with Emma who adapted it to suit a gluten free participant in our group and small children. We learned some interesting history and explored the lesser beaten streets of Pisa which is more than just the leaning tower. It also enabled us to go to places and taste food we wouldn’t normally have chosen had we been on our own, a real bit of Pisa. Highly recommend and we have great memories. Lucca is a fabulous city! Sadly we had fairly heavy rain for our evening tour, however Sara was amazing! We spent 3 hours on a food tour with Sara. Even before the tour she was extremely flexible with our timing and the need to change days. She also met us at our apartment instead of the more distant meeting place. Sara has a great sense of humor and, along with some Lucca history, she taught us about little tidbits of local lore. We tasted some Lucca specialties along with gelato and chocolates. She also brought us to an artisan shop where the proprietor was actually working at her old fashioned loom making some of her beautiful wares. We really appreciated the touch of local color. We finished the tour with a light lunch of Tordelli Lucchese and delicious Frontanoio soup. A tour with Sara would be especially good for history buffs!Delightful guide

We spent a couple hours with Sara yesterday getting an overview of Pisa, spending more time focused on the areas outside the Field of Miracles. While that tourist Mecca is gorgeous and interesting, we also enjoyed learning about everyday life of locals in Pisa. We all enjoyed our afternoon with Sara! She was engaging, witty, clearly intelligent and well-informed, and willing to adjust in the moment to our specific interests. Her professionalism shone through - in how she communicated with us, in the pacing of the tour, and in her balanced presentation of the history and culture of Lucca. If only we had booked a tour with Sara on our first day in Lucca! We then would have booked her for every day of our two week trip in Italy. Sure, her family would miss her but we’d be happy as clams laughing everyday as she shared funny stories and customs of her fellow Italians. My husband and I had never been to Lucca, but had heard wonderful things about it from friends. We went on a private tour with Sara, and spent an enchanting few hours with her exploring the city. She was so knowledgeable about the history of the city, and her humor in telling us stories about what we were seeing added so much fun to the facts. We loved the way she would talk about the history of a place and then relate it to present day. We ended our tour with a delicious lunch at a restaurant she had reserved for us in the heart of the city.
