We booked a private, guided tour of Salamanca with Alexia in February 2023. Alexia was a charming, friendly and very professional guide, explaining the history of the city in a most interesting way in both excellent English for me and Spanish for my wife. She can also conduct tours in French and Italian. She showed us aspects of Salamanca that we would not have seen by ourselves and gave us just the right amount of information on each location so we could decide if we wanted to delve further later on. Alexia gave us a really interesting and informative tour. A former under to postgraduate student of the university she knew the history intimately and was able to answer all our questions easily including mine about the involvement of women early in the university’s history. Alexia guided us (8 visitors from the netherlands) through Salamanca on october 11th 2022. A beautiful city with very interesting buildings. Alexia showed us the way, told about the history and had many stories about the city. I toured many of the University of Salamanca locations with Alexia and she was so amazing. There was so much to see and as a prior student, Alexia was very knowledgeable of both the history of the city and the history of the university which dates back to the 1200s. We had a wonderful evening tour with Alexia as our guide. We wondered around the beautiful town centre of Salamanca and she introduced us to the beautiful monuments, historical buildings and shared the stories and history. The pace was relaxed and Alexia was very interesting and informative without being too overwhelming with information. We learnt and saw things we wouldn’t have on our own.
