Darko was very welcoming to our small group of 6. He always only books small groups. He had a lot of historical info for us and toured us throughout the old town of Split. We were brought to venues that specialized in local delicacies as we weaved our way through the city. Most off the beaten track. He even shared recipes of some of the foods we loved! Would definitely recommend this tour! Fantastic evening!

Dubravka was absolutely amazing! Her historical knowledge is impressive and she was able to provide my husband and I with great recommendations for the rest of the trip. The food portion of the tour was one of a kind! She took us to sample local dishes that we have never tried before and every dish we tried we loved! The tour was amazing from start to finish. Dube is well versed in history and gave us an amazing overview. This was especially helpful as it was our first day in Croatia. The tour focused on street food and introduced us to items we might not otherwise have run across or tried. The portions were generous, and we were very full at the end. Since it was a private tour, we were able to have many questions answered and we also enjoyed getting to know Dube and hear her story. I very highly recommend.Best food tour we have taken anywhere

If you are visiting Split, do yourself a favor and book this tour with Duba! Not only will you taste delicious food, you will learn the history of both Split and Croatia and laugh as well. Also, Duba is a fantastic resource- she basically helped us plan the rest of our trip with recommendations for Hvar, Korcula, and Dubrovnik. She supplied everything from restaurant choices to specific directions on local buses, beaches, and shops. Find her on your first day and the rest of your vacation will be all set. Duba is lovely and has a wealth of knowledge- did I mention that the food was great? It was! She tailored the tour to our taste and shared stories of growing up in Split. I can’t recommend her highly enough.Book With Duba!

We communicated with Dubravka prior to taking our walking food tour so our meeting place was convenient for all of us. She knew exactly where to take us to sample “local food” and ignored any of the touristy places or places with long lines. As she had a plan of where we were to go, there wasn’t any wasted time. We were well received at each stop and she knew exactly what to order for us and gave us the history of each food we sampled or the background of the owners. There was a diversity in our stops - different street foods, drinks, sit-down family-style charcuterie and chocolates! It wasn’t just about the food. She also had historical stories for us as we walked around the palace. There wasn’t a street we walked down where another tour guide or restaurant owner didn’t stop and say hello to her. She went out of her way to give us restaurant recommendations in Split and Hvar and helped us with gifts for our grandchildren. Even after our tour, she continued to follow up with us to make sure we arrived at our next location safely! Touring with Dubravka will be a highlight of our trip! We know that we not only spent time with a tour guide, but made a new friend that we hope will visit us in California so we can introduce her to our home!! LOVED touring with Dubravka!!

Our guide, Dube, was phenomenal—warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly passionate about Split. They answered every question with detail and enthusiasm, making the experience feel both personal and enriching. The food journey started at a bustling local market where we sampled dried and sweetened orange rind—an unexpectedly delightful treat. From there, it was a feast for all the senses: party meats made right in the region, briny olives, crunchy almonds, and fresh pita bread set the stage for a deeper dive into Split’s culinary heart. Street food was a highlight—tender pulled beef with pickled onions nestled in warm bread, a rich meat-stuffed pita topped with zesty red sauce and melted cheese, and a crispy, golden fried bread filled with local char. "Dube" was wonderful. We have done a few of these Taste of... tours in various cities; this one was special. The food was varied and delicious and Dube took the time to dive into the history and sites of the palace. At the end, she asked what our itinerary was for the rest of our trip to Croatia and when we got back to the hotel she had sent me detailed suggestions for each of our next stops and invited us to contact her if we ran into any problems traveling or just had questions. Dubravka was an amazing guide!! She was super responsive (even though we booked the night before) and it was easy to link up the next morning. My group had a wonderful time walking around, learning the history of Split and trying a lot of local food. Dubravka made sure there was plenty of diversity in the food. From treats at the Green market to more traditional “dinner/lunch” food! Everything was delicious and perfect. I would absolutely book more with Dubravka! Best way to see Split!!

We have done several of these 10 tastes tours in different countries. This was by far the least organized. We spent most of the time at a cafe where Debora had brought items from the grocery store or bakery near her home. We then walked through a market (without sampling anything), then walked around town reading menus (again without eating), and finally stopped for a sandwich which was very good. This was extremely poor value for the price and overall a very bad tour. With that said, Debora is a very nice person with a lovely personality. I had a sense she had never led this particular tour.Unstructured and Not 10 Tastes!

Dubravka was an excellent guide—knowledgeable and fun to be with! She led our small group through the historical Diocletian Palace. We ate local fare from cafes dating back to Year 400. We may not have seen how alive the Palace becomes at night had we not toured with Dubravka. Food, drink, and candies were excellent at 5 various spots inside and outside the Palace. This was much more than a food tour! Right from the start Dubravka shared really interesting information about the history of Split as well as modern day life. We loved all of her stories and had a great time exploring the Old Town. The food itself was all delicious and there was plenty of it! We tasted such a good variety of things and from amazing local spots that we probably wouldn't have found on our own. To top it all off, the recommendations for the rest of our trip were really thoughtful and helpful. Can't recommend this tour with Dubravka highly enough! Wonderful, informative and delicious!

De tour hadden we veel meer van verwacht. Voor het grote bedrag wat we hebben betaald waren we niet 3 uur maar 2 uur bezig. Hij was veel sneller klaar. Daarnaast was het niet 10 verschillende hapjes en of drankjes die we hebben gehad, maar minder. En maar 1 drankje en voor de rest wat hapjes, waarvan er ook een stukje chocola bij zat. Wij hadden hele andere verwachtingen bij dit bedrag. Darko kan leuk vertellen dat wel, maar wij hadden het gevoel dat er meer inzat voor zo’n groot bedrag en dat nu niet is geleverd. Oke maar niet fantastisch

Four of us, two seniors and a young couple, spent two weeks in Croatia. This food tour was one of the highlights. But the tour was so much more than just about food. Dubravka had such knowledge of Split and Croatia in general. She entertained us with facts about ancient Split as well as the new Croatia and their increasing tourism and everything in between. And all of this was while we walked, sat, and enjoyed the fantastic food! The food and places were definitely not something we would have researched and found on our own. Most were small authentic Croatian establishments that locals would seek out. You can’t go wrong with Dubravka as your guide! This tour was a great way to become familiar with the city! Lots of delicious food. So much so that we were full by the end of the tour. Our guide, Darko, was excellent. Darko was passionate about his city, and was very knowledgeable about its history. We’ve been on many food tours in many cities and this was one of the best. We really enjoyed it. Dubravka is a great tour guide. It is a great tour if you want to see the old town, learn a little bit of history, meander through the streets and eat lots of Croatian food. Dubé is a wonderful tour guide with a real penchant and joie de vivre. A history major, she went above and beyond to regale the history of split and Croatia, showed us around the historical sights of split whilst indulging in local food. We had an excellent evening wandering round Split trying different foods in different places. Dubravka did a brilliant job of taking us to places that we wouldn’t necessarily have found on our and accommodating our dietary requirements (one vegetarian, one no seafood/fish). It was great to be able some of the local dishes. The only small downside is that restaurants in Split don’t seem to have fully embraced the concept of food tours yet. Dubravka was an excellent guide full of interesting facts and lots of knowledge about Split and the surrounding area. A fun evening eating in Split

This was an amazing tour. We have made it a point to try local food everywhere we travel, and there weren't many tour options in Split. Darko was informative, he had vast knowledge of the history, and obviously loves Split. He kept us interested, and engaged the entire time.
