Our food tour with Erik was perfect. We met him in the central part of the city and he was right on time. He gave us a great tour of that area, including a few bites at a local food hall. Meatballs and Cheese Pie (two tastes). He shared the history of the area and the background on the food hall. We then got on the metro for a short ride to a more posh area, visited a food hall there, had more bites (Seafood this time) and learned about this area. Then back on the metro to a 3rd area, and a new food hall. Who knew food halls could be so different and so interesting! Erik! we ended up at a coffee place (Koffein)-- a must visit if you like coffee and want to see the best (and smallest) coffee house in Stockholm. Yummy sweets and amazing cappuccino. Erik was very patient with us, which was important because we are slow walkers and can be even slower on cobblestones. The metro was inspired... made it much easier to get between the different parts of the city and with a guide it was really easy. I highly recommend Erik and his food tour of Stockholm.Amazing food tour!

We have done food tours in most countries we've visited and this was by far the absolute best. Erik was attentive, considerate and knowledgeable. We learned a little history and ate amazing, local, unique food. We had our baby with us and Erik even carried her around a food hall showing her different booths so we could eat our meatballs. Despite it being a national holiday (and a few closed doors), our guide Erik pulled through like a pro, finding us hidden local spots that served up authentic Swedish flavors. We kicked things off with classic Swedish meatballs, nibbled our way through some delicious cheese tastings, and dove into fresh seafood dishes. Somewhere along the way, we discovered Erik’s rice game needed help—so naturally, we taught him the time-tested Asian finger method for perfect rice. (We even suggested making a how-to video… he is still waiting on that one! 😂) The tour wrapped up with a cozy fika, where Erik personally brewed us a cup of Swedish coffee. We enjoyed our day with Erik exploring various “tastes” of Sweden throughout the city. We visited the Hötorget and Östermalm markets and enjoyed other stops as well for delicious items including various fishes, cheeses and meats. Despite a rainy Saturday, we had an amazing 6hr food/city tour with Erik. He was very accommodating to modify and extend the tour to accommodate our desire to see more of the extended city. First, Erik is very responsive and adaptable. Every time I emailed him, he got right back to me, and since I, along with my friend, do not like seafood, with adequate notice, he was able to adjust what we had to eat versus our husband's who like fish. Second, Erik was so accommodating that he met us at our hotel (we booked a private tour for 4 of us). Third, the food and the company were outstanding. Erik is so personable and knowledgable. We immediately fell into a comfortable banter as we walked to our first food hall, and the food did not disappoint! Everything was so delicious. Fantastic way to see Stockholm. There are lots of boats and waterway, and then there is Erik! He has a fantastic palate and a an equally fantastic knowledge of Swedish history, culture, and food & beverage. A must have is the the traditional Swedish taco! Not historically authentic food for Swedes, but a competent dish from a creative chef. This is a solid food tour, and time and taste well spent on our vacation. Tack så mycket Erik! Erik was fun to be with. He was very experienced with where to find the best examples of typical Swedish foods. We visited a couple of farmers markets and we used the subway to travel to various parts of the city to find the best samples. He even paid the fee for me to use the toilet. We had Swedish meatballs, of course, white asparagus, wild caught meats, including Moose, Deer and Wild Boar, shrimp salad, fish soup, a special local cheese and pastries. On our second day in Stockholm, my girlfriend and I scheduled a food tour with Erik for 4pm that day. We had been debating between one of the larger tour companies or paying more for the private experience. We ultimately opted for this private tour and in the booking, we noted that one of us was a foodie and the other one was entirely dairy free, but we were still hoping to have the most similar items/experience as possible. Erik responded within a few minutes & indicated that dairy free was not a problem & he had plenty of great options for us. When we met Erik later that day, he was super friendly, personable, & knowledgeable regarding the city’s history, culture, neighborhoods, & cuisines. We asked that the tour specifically focus on traditional Swedish cuisine and Erik delivered. We tried everything from meatballs to Skagen across local food halls, restaurants, and of course a coffee shop for Fika. Erik had even stopped in advance of the tour to pick up some vegan desserts to make sure there were dairy free pastry options. Wherever we went, Erik was greeted with hugs, smiles, and was clearly an insider in the Stockholm food scene. As we neared the 3 hour mark filled with exploring, eating, & laughing, Erik suggested another place he thought we might like & offered to take us there if we were comfortable going beyond our allotted time. We said yes and ultimately Erik spent 2 more hours with us (beyond the 3 that we had booked)! Following the tour, Erik sent us some great photos he had taken, as well as a TON of recommendations for restaurants & bars (in addition to the many recs he offered during the tour itself). He also offered to help with any additional questions we had related to food, getting around, other destinations within Sweden, etc. Throughout the rest of our time in Stockholm, we only ate & drank at spots recommended by Erik - each one was more fantastic than the next! If you're in Stockholm, I highly recommend taking a food tour from Erik - you won't regret it!A fantastic intro to Stockholm!

Despite of the rainy weather, Brenda managed to introduce Stockholm to us in a beautiful way. We saw the touristic highlights as well as places rather hidden, the crowded main streets as well as tiny parallel alleys visited only by few, and got a chance to make nice photos of all of that. We heard a bit about the history and the nowadays life in the city, and we found her local-but-not-native point of view quite interesting. He told us about the city and the country, but he didn't take us to any important places, like the Royal Castle, which we discovered on our own later, by chance, because from his description, it wouldn't even be worth it. And so it was with other places. But we did take a good walk around the city and got a good idea. If it weren't for what I described above, it would have been very good.Good but lacked better explanations

Lule is a great guide. He fitted a lot in a short space of time nicely mixing the old town, with the new and more modern areas. Good mix of history with contemporary explanation of Swedish politics ans society (and it was fun comparing our Swedish guide to the Danish guide we were with a few days ago!) Lule was also great with our boys (12 and 14) chatting football and other things they found interesting. Would highly recommend a wander around Stockholm with Lule. I’ve heard Eric is ok but Lule is 5 STARS! (Actually heard Eric is the food and drink expert so 5 stars for Eric too.)Cool tour of Stockholm
