We were a family group of 11 visiting Valencia for the first time (grandparents and grandkids included) and Maria did an exceptional job at providing historical context whilst keeping everyone interested with fun activities for the kids and teens. Wij vonden de tour van Maria er interessant, want ze wist heel veel te vertellen over de stad en de geschiedenis. Our tour with Luciana was the highlight of Valencia! Beforehand, we were able to share our wishes, and Luciana took them into account perfectly! Besides the delicious food, she also knows a lot about fun neighborhoods and spots in Valencia that we otherwise would never have discovered. She’s very social, which makes it feel less like a tour and more like a friend simply showing you around the city. Before we commenced our tour with Luciana we exchanged WhatsApp messages re meeting up and she finished with “ Let’s have fun “ . That’s exactly what we had on this tour . We met at 7pm and essentially had a night out - food tasting and drinking in very well chosen tapas restaurants and bars . We finished off indulging in the local concoction Agua de Valencia - one jug wasn’t nearly enough . Fabulous night , fabulous tour Luciana is a terrific guide ! Highly recommended. Lets Have Fun !

This was the perfect way to start my visit to Valencia! Maria was such a lovely, knowledgeable guide. She clearly knows and loves the city well, and I really enjoyed hearing some of the history and the different kinds of architecture. Not to mention, all of the spots Maria chose for food were fabulous! Great variety of local places and stands at the central market. Cannot recommend this tour with Maria highly enough! Do it!! Maria was very flexible after I booked the wrong tour initially. My wife and I toured around the Canyamelar - Cabanyal districts for 2 and a half hours. Although we know something of the area, having visited several times before, we were introduced to lots of new aspects of the area, from historical details to architectural examples, street art, museums and restaurants. Valentín was a very pleasant guide who was generous with his time, and made sure we tasted many Valencian specialities, visiting the central market for fresh produce and then a wine bar for tapas, and finishing in a cocktail bar to try Agua de Valencia - delicious! He also answered our questions about the architecture and demographics of the city, and gave a couple recommendations. We didn’t see as much of the city centre as perhaps we had expected, but it was an enjoyable morning despite that. Thanks Valentín! You won’t go hungry!

While our guide was very nice and I think his intentions are great, as new visitors to Valencia we didn't feel this tour added what it was supposed to for a food tour for the money. We have done food tours in other cities and the advantages are usually the guides of knowing people and places as to expedite ordering and multiple local dishes- we didn't get exposed to many expected favorites like potato bravas, local ham, paella or even anything in the Central Market which felt strange because he kept saying everything was unusually busy. We also didn't learn many traditions unless we asked. Just felt awkward.

Valentin was fine. He knew his way around the city, the interesting sites to see, and so forth. That probably isn’t surprising, since he is a city guide! He was perfectly pleasant and we enjoyed the tour, but I’m sorry to say that he and tour were on the flat, without any spark of interest from him. The poor man had probably done the tour dozens and dozens of times. Unfortunately, that showed. With other tour guides, and we’ve been lucky enough to have had many over the years, there’s usually a better engagement and more warmth. That said, his communications were good and it was easy to meet him.An OK tour
