Tam took my son, wife and me on a cycling tour and it was amazing. He was so informative and generous, taking his time to educate us about Vietnam and some of the cultural aspects. The bike is a brilliant way to explore the surrounding islands near Hoi An. If you have some basic fitness it's easy and safe. I highly recommend this tour and especially Tam. We had hoped to meet his mum the next day at her cafe, but we had to leave. Maybe next time! Cycling Tour

We went on a nice bike ride with Tam I’m the country side. It was nice to get a view of Hoi An behind the busy old town part. Our kids really enjoyed it too especially making their own rice cake and helping with the weaving of the mats. Highly recommend this easy but interesting bike trip.Fun trip away feim vusy center

We were to find a off track tour for our last day. After 12 dais in Vietnam, not an easy one. Phúc made it happen by proposing something great, for adults and 2 kids. Fantastic immersion in local life, (rice paper and mat) while going through plantations (corn, rice, peanut….) Our group of 4 went out for our tour in the morning starting at Phúc's mother's restaurant for breakfast before setting out to the Hoi An countryside which is beautiful and interesting. Phúc is an excellent communicator and had answers to everything we asked. One of our group was unsure on their bike and Phúc was super supportive and provided plenty of help and support. We stopped at a rice paper maker and a grass mat maker both of which were super interesting. There's no pressure at all at either stop but you can buy something if you want (we did). It was my favourite day out in Vietnam as a whole and I recommend Phúc in particular. Best activity for Hoi An

On my birthday, we booked a bike tour with Tam. It was an amazing trip. He showed us local craftsmen on Cam Island who still made rice paper and carpents and yoga mats. I can't really comment about my experience with Tam, as he got his friend, Phúc to replace him on the day itself at the last minute without informing me. Because of this, I deducted some points from my review. However, Phúc was a friendly and good guide. Before we started, he took the time to explain to me the plan for the day and was open to changes when I told him that I already visited one of the places in the plan and made some recommendations for other good food near my hotel when I asked. Although I was a bit disappointed that we didn't manage to cover everything that was planned, Phúc brought me for some surprisingly yummy food and it was a nice change of pace checking out the outskirts of Hoi An. He was patient and made an effort to try and explain things to me even though I could tell English wasn't a language he was super comfortable using. I had a great time with Phúc and it was nice walking around Hoi An and getting to know the place. Thank you Phúc for the experience!Day trip to Hoi An

We had an amazing afternoon with Tam, riding through the rice paddies and villages outside Hoi An. Tam was funny, informative and helpful, and although we didn’t realise at the time he took lots of photos of us riding around. Visiting the rice paper makers and mat weavers was thought provoking and educational. The riding is not hard, and there is no better way to see some of the real Viet Nam. Couldn’t recommend it higher.Such a fun day out!

Our family absolutely loved our tour with Tam. Riding electric scooters through the countryside was such a fun way to see the area, and with hardly any traffic, we felt totally at ease. Tam took us to visit some local families who make things like rice paper and sleeping mats by hand. It was such a unique experience and felt really special to be welcomed into their homes. Afterward, Tam brought us to a few restaurants to try local food – everything was delicious! Tam explained so much about the dishes and the culture, which made it even better. We had a fantastic afternoon with Tam cycling through the countryside and villages, visiting local families to learn about rice paper making and mat weaving. You can tell Tam is proud of the families and their traditions. We went late afternoon so got the boat back across the river which was also a highlight as all lanterns were being lit up. After the tour in Hoi An it was very refreshing to leave the buzz behind for 2 hrs and go on a bike tour enjoying the beautiful landscape of Cam Kim island. Another withlocals guide turned up (his name is Phuc) instead of Tam. I thought they look different. Phuc whom pretended to be Tam told me it was the glasses. About 1/3 way into the tour, I was sure he was not Tam, because a couple of things we agreed, and he had “forgotten”. Pls make sure the real Tam turned up. Most importantly, I have written to withlocals about this impersonation, I haven’t heard from them it has been over two weeks. Good luck Someone pretended to be Tam!

We were a little apprehensive about this tour having visited Hoi An 4 times previously but this will forever be a highlight of all the time we have spent here. Easily the best thing we did in our 9 days in the Danang/Hoi An area. The guide had the perfect balance of biking and stopping to share something with us or stop for pics. He showed us the best Bahn Mi before we went over the bridge into the island where we rode thru magic rice paddies, stopping for sugarcane juice, green banana, rice noodle making and treat, and floor mat making, meeting 3rd gen families keeping up their shrinking craft. We also met the wood carving folks and inlay artist. The biking was ok even for me being really out of shape, and we took a boat back to the heart of Hoi An. Best to take some small d20,000 notes or even more to tip the artisans as they don’t make a lot of money. I also tipped our guide d100k. The only weird part is we booked with Tam, and the app sent me messages that I was communicating with Tam, and when we met in person, he called himself Tam, but looking at pics when we got home, it was obviously Phuc, not Tam who we’d just spent 3 hours with. Weird because he was great and I whatsapped him to find out the deal so I can refer people to him, but he didn’t reply. Because of that, I’m knocking off a star but it was a fabulous, special experience that I highly recommend. Best experience - country sites and people

Phuc took us on a wonderful cycle tour through Hoi An and out into the countryside villages. He showed us a number of local craft making enterprises, introduced us to the delights of the sugar cane drink and told us stories about his life in Vietnam. I would thoroughly recommend this tour. We had a great time exploring the countryside on our morning, opting for this rather than a more touristy option. We were able to explore the countryside and see a much more authentic local experience. It was great to see the mat weaving and the wood carving. Tam had a great knowledge about the area. It was very special meeting some of the local families who still practice traditional crafts. We picked a really hot time of the day as it was our only free time, but Tam made sure to adjust the program fittingly and made it work despite the heat and we had lots of beautiful stops and beautiful cold local drinks. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone! Perfect Day Out

It was such an amazing and inspiring trip riding with Phuc. We started with a meeting point in the centre than made our way towards the village out of the tourist area and that’s when we saw the village for it self. Where the local and community would live and we drove through rice field/ vegetable field and cake across cows, chicken, and children playing on the street always so ready for giving a high five too 💕 we ended our trip with learning about rice paper and the noodles. Phuc treated us with some delicious local treat and some delicious herbal tea. Can not recommend someone better than him 💙Beautiful ride in the rice field

We had a great tour with Tam. Bike were excellent with helmets provided. We role around the Old City then out to vegetable farms, rice fields, markets and pottery market. We stopped for cold beers in a lovely setting. Tam spoke perfect English and made lots of recommendations for dishes to try. We learnt a lot about Hoi An and Vietnam. What a great experience it was despite the rain. To be shown the home where the local rice wine was made, the rows of herbs being grown and where multiple generations have made pottery using the communal kiln was an absolute treat Phuc as our guide was so passionate about his local community it came across in all he explained to us. What a treat to be taken for rice paper rolls and be shown how to make them like a local. We would also like to say how well Phuc understood the needs of vegetarians, he was very attentive to our requests throughout our time together.Wonderful wanderings with a local!

We had a great time with the tour! Tam contacted us before hand about rescheduling with regards to the bad weather, so we went a day later and had a much better time than we would have had with pouring rain! We visited various handicraft villages surrounding Hoi An and Tam told us all about the local life with a rice wine tasting included. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hoi An as it gives you the opportunity to see Vietnamese life outside of the city.Great cycling tour!
