He seems to be a very friendly guy. We anticipate that the weather may have disrupted his plans but he wasn’t really able to adjust to our needs and wasn’t communicating a lot . We missed a warm welcome and any kind of instructions. We didn’t received a drink or snack as indicated in description . Bikes had been in a questionable condition Not what we expected

It would be great if Yván invested in a couple of newer bikes that had seats that could adjust to a person’s height. He could charge a little more and the ride would be more comfortable. Also, it would be nice to visit a place - either the market or a museum in the area. It would break up the biking and I believe that tourists would like to visit indoors and get a tour, especially if they are spending the time to travel down to this neighborhood. Nice way to explore Coyoacán

I spent a very pleasant couple of hours with Yvan riding around Coyoacan, getting the vibe along with some history and mythology. And his story… a perspective on Mexico and the city. And some tips for contemporary dance perfomances.Coyoacan cruising

We are a family of eight: 6 adults and 2 teenagers. Al is a really nice and chill guy. He showed us the historical city, we had some real good foods and we have seen beautiful places. He is flexible in schedule and discusses what we want to do and act like it. And in the end he takes care that we are safe back in the hotel!Perfect city trip

Mariel is a wonderful and sweet person! She really cares about her guests. Our issues with the tour were below: The bicycles: I am 6'2" tall. These bikes are very small, and it was VERY uncomfortable, the entire time. If you are 6 feet or more, it is not easy to ride these. The route: 70% of our tour was riding through residential neighborhoods or uneventful streets. We would ride for 10-20 minutes, and then stop at a place. Then repeat. The route was not really beautiful. The stops: We stopped at 3 churches that had historical significance, but we could not enter 2 of them (closed). We stopped at the House of Frida, but the line was an hour long, so we couldn't enter during the tour. We stopped at an outside movie theater, which was cool - but it was all the way up Guatamoc drive, way out of the way, and not really worth such a long bike ride, to see an empty outside movie theater, at 1pm. Overall, we left feeling underwhelmed by the tour itself. I just felt like we rode (uncomfortable) bikes, for ~2 hours, and stopped at some uninteresting and/or closed places. On a positive note, we did get to see Coyoacan center, which was really cool, and we got a feel for the area. I hate to write a bad review, because Mariel is a wonderful person, and very sweet! But the route itself could be improved, in my opinon. Good, not great

Amazing experience. I was lucky to have the tour on such a beautiful sunny day. Mariel was a wealth of knowledge. She showed true passion and conviction for her work and was clearly an expert of her craft. Amazing bike up and down the Coyoacan streets. It was spectacular - landscape and history of the place are amazing. I cannot say this enough, Mariel was not only knowledgeable, but a great companion at the end of the it.Unforgettable experience - DO NOT MISS

Alaya was very nice and chill. She showed us some pretty and cool places, but we were hoping for some more history or background. Also, she was a bit hard to hear sometimes because she would talk while walking forward and I was standing behind her. Luckily, my daughter helped relay the information to me.

We truly enjoyed our time with Mariel- in her nuanced perspective as a student of social anthropology, she was able to expertly weave pre Hispanic history to modern day Mexico. It definitely made for entertaining, eye opening and vibrant discussions! Best Historic Center tour!

She also spoke in depth regarding current issues with a lovely balance of honesty but also hope and joy. Definitely one of a kind experience. LGBTQ history told here was deep cut. We lucked out with a good group. Insightful questions and friendly chatting organically extended the tour by an hour but Tania was 100% down to make sure we got the complete experience. Would highly recommend this tour. Keep in mind: food stop is early on afternoon tour, so best to come a bit hungry. Two clean bathroom breaks included as well. Thanks Tania for an unforgettable experience!!Definitely one of a kind experience!

We had hoped to see the Frida Kahlo museum but couldn’t get tickets, but went to Cuoycan anyway and had very enjoyable tour with Al. It’s only about 25-30 mins from the city but it’s much slower, relaxed pace. We walked all along cobble stone streets to see some of the beautiful old homes, stopped in a watercolor painting museum, saw the town square and got some ice cream and churros. It was really nice way to spend our last day, highly recommend Al. Relaxed walk through Cuoyacan

It was so interesting to hear a different side of Mexico's indigenous and contemporary history. We stopped at the main landmarks, but Tania also highlighted important hidden landmarks. Each story was told with care, as some were heavier than others. What makes this a tour for the girls, gays, and theys, is that there is a shared understanding of the dangers of repression and the systematic isolation of people based on gender or sexuality. Nevertheless, that does not mean you have to be a girl, gay, or they to fully appreciate the tour, as it's not about that. It's about learning a side of history you would not necessarily learn from a normal city walking tour guide. I love history, so this was so much fun for me. I appreciate all the research that went into creating this experience, and I hope everyone else enjoys too. :)A side of history you wouldn't necessarily learn from other tour guides!

Learning the queer and feminist side of Mexican history you learn about on other tours and in museums is a needed perspective when visiting CDMX.It felt like listening to a friend tell stories!

I seriously couldn’t recommend this tour enough. Tania was an AMAZING host who brought a perfect mix of extensive historical and cultural knowledge but also amazing vibes that made the tour fun and not like sitting in class. I learned so many things that I would not have just walking around myself. Also, as a queer person, it was so nice to be in a space made for people like me while traveling to a new city. I seriously would re book this tour if I came back, thank you again TaniaI can't recommend Tania enought!

Mariel is amazing! We initially read about Mariel and her tour guide skills in an article on what to do with 4 Days in CDMX. She did not disappoint. Mariel is an actively studying anthropology student and a native of Mexico City. Her english is perfect and her disposition is so kind and caring. She is patient and incredibly knowledgeable about history, culture, anthropology, language as well as places to eat and see! We had an incredible experience with Mariel! She was so welcoming and truly a genuinely good person. Her deep knowledge of both the city and the country’s history brought everything to life in such a meaningful way. We especially appreciated her honesty and passion—it's clear she loves what she does. Mariel gave us fantastic recommendations for restaurants and must-see markets that became some of our favorite spots. Navigating the historic center of Mexico City can be a bit intimidating, but with Mariel, we felt completely at ease. She gave us the tools and confidence to make the most of the rest of our trip. My group and I had such a great experience with Tania! Tania had a wealth of knowledge regarding queer history, feminist activism, and indigenous history in Mexico City. Nothing we learned on this tour could easily be found in textbooks or even online, so I was very impressed by how much independent research Tania had done and what an expert she was on these important subjects. She also provided a list of recommendations on movies and documentaries if we wanted to learn more. Tania had a great sense of humor and was very easy to get along with, so we all enjoyed spending the day with her. The restaurant we started the tour at was also very delicious and unique, so that was a fun added bonus. I would recommend this activity to anyone visiting Mexico City!I would recommend to anyone visiting Mexico City!

Mariel was an amazing tour guide! She is well studied, very knowledgeable, articulate, and has a deep appreciation for her country's heritage and culture. And she was extremely kind and fun to spend a morning with! While she speaks great English, we opted to have her do the tour in Spanish (we are conversational in Spanish but not fluent) and we could understand her perfectly. But when we needed clarification, she was easily able to explain in English. Would highly recommend!!¡Muy excelente!
