Simone was a hoot! It was a very casual and fun tour, with Simone very easy to speak with and making for a very fun tour. He personalised our tour on the fly and provided some great tips on where we could explore once our tour had finished. Our daughter slept in the pram for majority of the tour, but that didn't hold us back from touring the city. There was plenty of history, culture and insight into the Roman way of life, told through his eyes. We covered lots of ground (which we were very much open to). Simone is an outstanding tour guide! My family of four, including our two boys aged 11 and 12, did a walking tour of Rome last week with Simone. We chose him because we thought he would be great connecting with our kids, and he delivered. Simone knows the city so well, knows interesting off-the-beaten-track spots that we would never have found on our own, and has lots of interesting stories to share about Rome and Italy, from a historical, architectural, and modern standpoint. We just did a tour with Amandio a few days back . We were a large group , 5 adults n 4 kids. From the start, he was super communicative and accommodating to our needs. He took the kids and grandma on baboe bike - so they were all super happy to not have to walk all the time ;) . He also knew very well ( better than us) how to connect with the kids- with the way he kept them entertained with puzzles, jokes, even games and dancing ! He was also super funny and kept us entertained with his stories. The pizza and gelato and canoli stops were great . When the tour ended , we all ( especially the kids) were sad to say good- bye. We felt we were saying good bye to a good friend ! We certainly hope to see him another time and will highly, highly recommend him to anyone . Best walking/ biking tour ever

Our experience with Amandio was absolutely phenomenal! Despite a two-hour flight delay and major road closures due to the Giro d’Italia, he was incredibly flexible and accommodating. He reassured us he’d wait until we were ready, and true to his word, he was right outside our hotel when we arrived. Because of the street closures, Amandio offered us a few great alternatives to the original bike tour, and we decided on a walking tour instead. It was the best decision! Amandio is a walking encyclopedia! So knowledgeable, engaging, and fun to be around. His passion for Rome is contagious. He also took us to a local eatery tucked away from the tourist crowds, where we had the most delicious porchetta, pizza, and supplì. It was so good that we went back the very next day on our own! We truly wish we had booked another tour with him for the following day. He made our first day in Rome incredibly special. We can’t recommend Amandio enough. Auf unserer Rom Städtetour Anfang Mai 2025, haben wir Romain für eine 5 Stunden Full Coverage Rome City Tour gebucht. Zuerst einmal möchten wir uns noch einmal bei Romain für seine unglaubliche Flexibilität und seinen Kundenservice bedanken, da wir aufgrund von Anreiseproblemen erst mit 8 Stunden Verspätung in Rom eingetroffen sind und den vereinbarten Termin mit Romain nicht einhalten konnten. Internet sei Dank, klappte die direkte Kommunikation und Romain hat uns angeboten die Tour zu splitten, so das wir am Anreisetag 2 Stunden und am Folgetag 3 Stunden das Vergnügen hatten uns von Romain fachkundig, mit vielen Anekdoten und Hintergrundinformationen versehen, durch diese erstaunliche Stadt führen zu lassen. Oft liefen wir abseits der überlaufenen Touristenattraktionen, entdeckten versteckte Hinterhöfe, gingen kleine, schmale Gassen entlang, um plötzlich wieder auf einer belebten Piazza heraus zu kommen um dann in der nächsten Gasse weitere Jahrhundert alte Säulen und von außen völlig unscheinbare Gebäude, kaum als Kirche zu identifizieren, zu entdecken, die dem Besucher viele Malereien und andere Schätze bereit hält. Wir können nur jedem, der eine Städtetour abseits der normalen Wege sucht ( Closseum, Vatikan etc. sind groß genug, die findet man auch allein ;) ) eine ausgedehnte Tour mit Romain absolut empfehlen und würden diese auch jederzeit wieder buchen, da es noch viel mehr zu sehen gibt. 11 von 10 Sternen.Full Coverage mit Romain. We spent a few hours walking the streets in the historic center of Rome with Simone. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Rome and a very engaging conversationalist. Our guide, Chiara, was very friendly and had the right pace for the day. She answered our questions and kept us moving, but did not feel rushed. We liked that she focuses on local establishments (not chains) and has relationships with local vendors. The market was great to explore (Clare gave us time to shop, too!) and we loved seeing the restaurant's wine cellar. I liked that this tour spent more quality time in a particular area, rather than running around trying to see all the attractions. I would recommend this tour to others as a great way to get to know a neighborhood that is a bit off the beaten tourist track in Romegood way to explore the Testaccio area

Chiara was a wonderful guide - personable, knowledgable, and allowed us to experience the food authentically and completely without judgement. She is clearly very passionate about the food, but at the same time had a very unbiased and objective perspective about italian culture and history, which I appreciated. Not only did she create a custom tour for me, but she really went out of her way to make sure I had not just an experience but a quality time with a friend. Being on a business trip in Rome and with some spare time in the evening I decided to go to downtown Rome to see something of the cultural treasured of Rome. Alone in an unknown city it's maybe boring and you run around aimlessly. Having a lot of positive experience with the Withlocals service in many other places of the world I decided to book a guide. Everything went very well. Simone showed me some hidden places, the Pantheon and we had a nice talk. Almost at the end of the tour we walked up a little hill where I had a wonderful overview over the Forum Romanum and on the other side I could see the St.Peters cathedral. In this momentan I heart the bells of the cathedral ringing and I knew it must be the announcement of the new Pope. Simone realized that this is important for me and offered me to bring me to the St.Peters Place. It was quite a long walk along the Tiber river but we made it in time and I became part of the historical event when the new Pope entered the balcony. Although the booked time was long over he stayed with me and finally brought me to a place where I could order a taxi to go back to the hotel. Simone is definitely a nice person and a great guide with an excellence sense for his customers. I can fully recommend him. He is fully engaged and it's nice to talk to him. One of Italy’s best! This was our third tour with Amandio, and once again, it was a highlight of our trip. Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Tag mit Romain. Durch die besondere Situation in der Stadt ( Beerdigung des Papstes), haben wir auch eine besondere Tour mit Romain erlebt- so ein wenig die „Hidden Places“ von Rom erlebt ! Unser Fußmarsch führte uns eben nicht zu den „ Highlights“ für Touristen, sondern vorbei an kleineren Kirchen und Brunnen, durch herrliche Viertel - mit besonderer Architektur, bis hin in den wunderschönen Park um die Villa Borghese mit dem Abschluss auf dem Besucheraussichtspunkt und dem fantastischen Ausblick auf Rom ! Romain war toll !! Zum einen verfügte er über enormes Wissen- ohne uns damit zu überladen - beantwortete jede unserer Fragen, kurzum, erlebten wir ein auf uns persönlich eingestelltes Programm. This was the absolute best tour. You must book with Simone if you want to have a unique and fun experience. Simone was warm and engaging. He took us to many important sites in the city but also mixed in fun stops to sample cheeses, meats, wine and Roman pizza. We ended the tour on top of this beautiful spot with views of the city, including St Peters. There was a lovely restaurant with stunning views. A perfect way to end our trip. This was the PERFECT food tour! We got to have so much food AND wine! No skimping on the wine either. Chiara was an amazing tour guide! I felt like I was being guided by a friend. She was awesome and we had the best time! Everything was so good. We also never had to wait and everything was perfectly paced. We weren’t rushed and got to truly enjoy everything. I would do this exact tour again. The supplì was so good!! I highly recommend doing this tour! Great for foodies and they even make accommodations for dietary restrictions!an amazing food tour

An excellent journey through the Trastevere area. Romain our guide offered insightful history of the area, as well as sharing a vast knowledge of the history and technique used to make the food we ate. And the food we ate was all exceptional.Excellent journey through history and food

We had the best day with Amandio! My kids, ages 4, 9, and 13 all loved him. He really went the extra mile to make sure they were all entertained and happy. We rode e-bikes through the streets of Rome while Amandio told us stories and provided the history of what we were seeing. Highlights included a visit to the colosseum, drinking water from the fountains to become real Romans, and food stops allowing us to taste the best pizza, arancini, and gelato Rome has to offer. Simone was very nice and adaptive to the tour. I had done this same tour 4 years ago. My family was with me this time and it was really nice to have a guide specifically devoted to what we wanted to see. Although, we went to different locations than the last time I took the tour.
