My husband and I met with Alessandro near to where we were staying at his suggestion which was very helpful. He showed us lots of things we would have missed without his help. We enjoyed tasting some wine and nibbles while we chatted and explored Verona, we would have book another tour if we were in Verona again. Alessansro was a great host, he guided us round Verona and pointed out so many things that only a local could tell you. The pizza and wine was amazing and on his recommendation, with his expert ordering we finished the evening with the most amazing tortellini. Grazie Pizza, wine and Tortellini 👍

We were given 3 fried items at one locale to eat. Not very interesting or imaginative. No variety of places at all. We had a spritz ( our choice) and we were offered one other glass of wine. That was all. We were shown the good tortellini place - but no offer of any tortellini. This was an expensive tour and was not worth it. We were disappointed . Also, you should suggest that your guides not dress in an old sweatshirt. Not worth the money!

Wir, zwei Paare aus Österreich haben uns gleich nach unserer Ankunft in Verona mit Martina am Piazza Erbe getroffen, wo wir sofort in die bewegte Geschichte Veronas eingetaucht sind, bei einem schönen Spaziergang durch die wunderschöne Stadt haben wir immer wieder Rast bei reizenden Lokalen gemacht, wo wir köstliche Häppchen und guten lokalen Wein probieren konnten. Auf besondere Vorlieben wurde im Vorfeld Rücksicht genommen. Martina war mit ihrer erfrischenden Art wirklich eine Bereicherung, hat auch einiges von ihrem Familienweingut erzählt, es war auch hilfreich, dass sie uns einige Tipps zu Lokalen und Aktivitäten in Verona geben konnte. So haben wir uns von Anfang an in der Stadt zurechtgefunden und wir würden es jederzeit wieder genauso machen! We had a fabulous evening with Cris. She was very informative and took us to some really nice establishments which were off the beaten track. The choice of food and drinks was really well thought through but most of all she was really nice company and a joy to share over 3 hours with. Francesco was warm, friendly, engaging with a huge depth of knowledge of the history and culture of Verona. He was able to make a small group tour interesting for adults and teenagers alike. He even managed to take in his stride our late arrival by 10 mins due to a parking problem we had when we arrived in the city. I would definitely recommend this tour. We were looking forward to experiencing the local food culture of Verona, but unfortunately, this tour didn’t quite meet our expectations. While our guide, Alessandro, was kind and personable, the tour felt more like a general walk through the city’s history rather than a curated culinary experience. The tastings were limited—just gelato, pizza, affogato, and a small wine sample—far fewer than the 10 tastings we were expecting. Additionally, it didn’t feel like the stops were pre-planned or coordinated with the food venues, which took away from the sense of a well-organized experience. We’ve done food tours in other cities that felt more immersive and thoughtfully put together, with a stronger focus on local specialties. While Verona is a beautiful city with so much to offer, we were hoping for a deeper dive into its unique food culture. With some adjustments and more attention to the culinary aspect, this tour could become a great experience. Alessandro was an amazing host in Verona. He met us close to our rental and took us through all the highlights of the city. It was hot but we didn’t mind because the history and beauty of the city came to life. He gave us great tips for dinner and we had the most amazing ice cream in the world!! If you are considering it, do it! Alessandro was a fantastic guide, full of knowledge about the local area and food. Often sharing where he would go and what he would eat - great recommendations! We spent three hours with Alessandro on one of the hottest days of the year so far. The Affogatos were a great way to start the tour. We loved the tapas style lunch and local wines and oils to try. Gelatos, cannoli, granitas all appreciated too! All the information related to historical Verona through the ages and how it has become the beautiful, eclectic city it is now. Never rushed, Alessandro became part of our group of 6 walking around the city. He tailored the food and tour to our questions, likes and requests … but also added far more than we expected! We originally booked a food tour but the host canceled. We ended up booking something different (this tour) with the request to add some food stops. The didn’t leave feeling confident and we tried to cancel the tour the day before but they wouldn’t accommodate us. Really disappointed especially after the original tour guide cancelled on us. Would not recommend with locals to anyone after this.Unable to cancel

A plate of not very good pasta and 2 glasses of wine did not live up to the 10 tastings promised. More knowledge from the guide about what was open on Easter Monday would have helped. Saw some interesting parts of Verona but a disappointing tour overall More of a history than a food tour

We were fortunate to book a tour of Verona with Alessandro recently. Him being born and raised in Verona provided us with an intimate glimpse into what Verona is all about. Having studied and worked in the US his command of the English language was perfect. At every turn of the tour he provided fascinating information regarding our next encounter, such as the meaning of the crenels on bridges and buildings. he also made sure we were introduced to the local food. We chose affogato and bruschetta and his choices of where to go and enjoy it was "perfecto". Alessandro was very informative and yet down to earth and relatable. I always read these reviews and think "it's a bot, or paid advertising", so let me start by saying I'm neither. Just a traveler from another country trying to have the best experience possible in Italy and Alessandro made that happen. Before even meeting he was extremely helpful in finding locations and restruants in near by cities and helping to navigate certain aspects that may be confusing for a foreigner. For our tour, sadly it was a rainy day, but it didn't stop us. He expertly guided us through the beautiful city of Verona pointing out things that anyone but a local would miss. Sharing stories of his personal past along side historic facts that were awe inspiring. He is truly a man of the people, everywhere we went we bumped into locals he knew and shared a laugh (and even a glass of wine). To put it plainly, we started with the best hot chocolate we've ever had, ended with the best pasta we've ever had and everything between was absolute perfetto!! Thank you again Alessandro, may your days be long and your wine glass always full. Perfetto!!!!

We had a wonderful day with Alessandro. It was an easy tour from the beginning. He picked us up at our hotel (right on time) and off we went into the countryside! He took the time to show us several beautiful spots along the way to Lake Garda. The winery at the end was really lovely. We got to meet the owners and it felt very special. We are on our way to Venice and he sent us some recommendations for that stay as well! It was a wonderful day and I recommend him very highly! Italy wins!!A wonderful day going to the lake

Maria is a knowledgable and cheerful guide. We learned a lot. This tour is good for people who can’t walk a lot or walk long distances as many stories are shared sitting in the sun on a bench. Only downsides are she took several phone calls during our tour and we were never offered a drink or snack as advertised.

Our guide ,Manuel, was super accomodating, helpful and knowledgable and made us enjoy our day trip to Verona. The restaurant that he recommended for lunch, Trattoria Fluviale Vecio Mulin, was so good and tucked away, as only a local would know as it was what we wanted.
