I usually do not rate tours that high or write good reviews if I not truly believe the tour deserves it. However, this one was great! We had a wonderful 3 hour walking tour with Haq. Her speaks great English. He was so knowledgeable and answered all our questions. His tour is very interactive and interesting. Haq gave us many details that we would have never known had we not listened to his historical references. He kept my 20 and 18 year old sons’ as well as my husband and my attention the whole three hours! So interesting! We visited all the important monuments in Peace Memorial Park. Haq made it very enjoyable. We highly recommend Haq.Outstanding Tour!

We had a wonderful tour with Ali, his historical and local knowledge was excellent. And to top it he is also an anthropologist. So we had the benefit of hear the stories through many lenses. At the end of the tour Ali took us to a local restaurant one the the and his wife favour. We never would have found it ourselves A hidden gem. Apologies I can’t find the name of it. We had a great tour with Awais - it was enjoyable and it was evident he had amazing knowledge of the historical areas and events. I couldn’t fault the tour and the information as it was exactly what we were after. The only downside I would mention would be related to the price - value rating and some simple communication errors. When we booked the tour it was advertised as a private guide, upon arriving we were told we needed to wait for another couple joining us. They were a lovely couple and there was no issues with them, however I was a little annoyed with the price we paid and the fact it was advertised as private to have another couple on the tour. Furthermore, we had to organise a baby sitter and we had numerous requests from Awais for time changes beforehand which did add a layer of complexity, Secondly, we did the museum beforehand to ensure we could maximise the site visits, however upon arriving Awais suggested he was going to take us into the museum. This should have been communicated before and did affect the efficiency of the tour. All in all I enjoyed it but did find it slightly expensive. Great tour with informative guide

Nabeel took our family of 8 on a 3 hour walking tour of Hiroshima. He offered to meet us at Hiroshima station and brought us to all of the major historical sites, starting at the Peace Memorial Museum. We did a tour with Awais. His knowledge and history of the Peace Park and Museum was outstanding. He carefully navigated us through the museum and the park in a skilful way so we could learn and see lots in the park while making sure we saw what we wanted too. Then later visiting the castle and the gardens was also wonderful. We spoke to other passengers on our cruise about their group tour and they didn’t even do half of what we were able to see with Awais. Thank you Awais for a wonderful day. I was excited by the reviews Ali had, and seeing Hiroshima. But the experience was not what I expected - basically a rote memorization and recital of the plaques without any history or content of the city before the war. why it was chosen to be bombed, the feel and nature of the people. I had some additional knowledge from my reading he did not have. I think this is not necessarily and issue with Ali, but with all of the guides who are no "locals" and were not born there, lived there and have family there. Nice Guide, but not a local

Nabeel took us on a tour in Hiroshima. He took my husband and I to the Peace memorial museum and peace park. It was a truly moving experience. He also took us to some other memorials in the peace park that we would not have known were there if we had not done the tour. Nabeel was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the atomic history of Hiroshima. This tour is worth doing if you visit Hiroshima. Good tour

Awais showed us around the memorial museum, park area, castle and gardens. He was a knowledgeable, friendly and adaptable tour guide. He was flexible with timings and always made sure that we were happy with the pace of the tour. He gave options about stopping at certain spots for more detail or moving on if we wanted and never made us feel rushed. He answered all of our many questions and had a lovely manner of imparting knowledge in a way that was interesting. We got so much value out of our Hiroshima visit thanks to Awais. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient with our questions and always had an interesting fact or anecdote to offer. When he saw the crowds at the museum he asked us if we wanted more time & he could stay on later than booked to ensure we got the most from our visit without being rushed. Such a gentleman, he even gave up his umbrella to another tourist in our group so she wouldn’t get too wet from the rain, and then proceeded to continue the tour without any cover for himself! All done with such good humour & no complaints. By the end of the tour, he was completely wet through. What a trouper! He took photos for us, pointed out other city landmarks and was polite enough to share his own experiences of living & working in Hiroshima. After the tour my friend and I were left with new understanding & thoughtfulness for the people & circumstances around the tragic A-bomb over Hiroshima. We highly recommend Awais - with him you get great value for money, then some! 10/10 with Awais!

Haq was such a great tour guide. He was very patient with our mixed group of grandparents and kids. His knowledge is incredible and he takes the time to explain and leave space for questions. He promised the kids he would buy an ice cream if he couldn’t answer a question so they spent the whole time engaged and thinking through tricky questions for him. Lots of fun (and we ended the tour with ice cream regardless). Highly recommend.Excellent tour - we learned so much

We were a group of 4 travelling from Kyoto to Hiroshima for a few hours. Nabeel’s tour was just the right length for our experience so we booked him. Nabeel offered to meet us at the train station so we could all make our way to the starting point together - very kind and not expected! In terms of the time spent with him, Nabeel had the perfect balance of talking about the history of the tragedy as well as allowing time for reflection. Admittedly, the park and museum are confronting to say the least - Nabeel was perceptive of our needs as a group and this ensured an optimal pace throughout our 3 hours - we did not feel rushed or overloaded. I would highly recommend Nabeel. While you can self pace these experiences, we found having a personal guide as experienced as him meant that we could immerse ourselves, know what was important to look at and not lose track of time. Believe his rating! 10/10 from us. The perfect balance

We had a very nice tour with our tour guide Haq. We made a last minute booking via the website and we were able to get in touch with Haq very quick. We started at 16.00hr so he had to make some adjustments so that we were able to see everything. Haq has a lot of knowledge including fun facts so we got a very complete picture about the history of Hiroshima. Definitely recommended!Great tour and tour guide!

Haq is a fantastic guide. In 3 hours he brought us through all the main sites and explained the history and significance of each monument and location. He was able to explain why some people and buildings survived while all around didn’t. He has a great interest and curiosity about the history of Hiroshima and was able to correct many of the misconceptions I had about the bombing. It was also very interesting to hear him talk about his experiences of being a foreigner who has adopted Hiroshima as his home. Finally when parting, Haq gave us a suggestion for lunch - a fantastic street food vendor where we had one of our best meals in Japan. I can’t give his secret recommendation away. You’ll have to ask him yourself. Great knowledge, great insights

My wife and our two teenage daughters had a wonderful and somber day with our guide Haq. He shared local knowledge and background of Hiroshima as we embarked on our tour. We started our visit at the Gates of Peace memorial and continued to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. My teenage daughter commented on how he had great awareness of where each of us were and how patient he was in creating space for each of us to have our own experience navigating the memorial at our own pace. He provided a good narrative including off the beaten trail details that would not show up in a tour book. We had timely rest stops including a stop for salt algae ice cream which we would not have found on our own. We concluded our tour enjoying a local culinary favorite - okonomiyaki - which was delicious and the two women that ran the restaurant were warm and friendly. If you plan on visiting Hiroshima we recommend securing Haq as your tour guide for the day!!

He was very knowledgeable about the subject matter and answered all of our questions. At the end we had a little extra time, so he walked us to Hiroshima Castle at our request.
