Roxanne was an amazing tour guide. I had been in touch. With her prior to arriving in Vienna. I wanted to see if I could find my family home and trace some significant family locations there. Roxanne greeted us with charm and extensive knowledge about the Jewish history of Vienna. She led us to my father’s home, school and synagogue while giving us some in depth history. We had a wonderful tour with Roxanne about the Jewish community in Vienna. We walked through the 2nd District and finished at the Holicaust Memorial and the Jewish Museum. My wife and I had the very good fortune to choose and the distinct pleasure to tour with Roxane. She is the guide for you if you are interested in Jewish history, Holocaust and Contemporary Jewish life in Vienna. She is warm and approachable, but a serious teacher at the same time. While some guides take you on "their tour", Roxane was interested in what we were most interested in and went from there. She has great command of the material so can answer your questions as they come up. While much of Jewish life in Vienna is rife with tragedy, our tour also included learning about the "good times" and many significant contributions of Jews in Vienna as well. Roxane is not Jewish, which we would not have known if she had not told us, as she is deeply understanding and empathetic of the immense and frequent discrimination and hate Jews have faced in Vienna, Austria and Europe. We recommend Roxane for all groups, all ages, without reservation. Jewish Vienna with Roxane--Tour de Force!!

Roxanne was our guide for the Jewish tour. Let me start by saying this young smart lady is not your average guide.She is curious by nature and boy does it show! We spent an afternoon learning not only about Vienna & it’s sad unfortunate history, but we got in depth conversations on various political topics, both old & new. Roxane was excellent and went beyond what we expected. We were on a mission to find the graves of my great great grandfather and one of his sons. They died in Vienna in 1900 and 1921. I am the great grandson of another son. The family left Vienna and settled in Glasgow Scotland before WW1 I had some details which I supplied in advance that had helped but before we arrived Roxane had done further research and took us to the cemetery and graves. Not easy in an old cemetery where parts are overgrown and the tombstones are severely weathered. We then visited other sites in Vienna. It’s possible that I am the first family member to have visited the cemetery in 100 years. Anyone who has Roxane as a guide will not be dissatisfied. We also used the underground and tram system to get around which was a great way to experience the city. Our tour was not an ordinary one and exceptional in the way she met our requirements which were to say the lease a bit out of the ordinary Malcolm. Myra livingstone. 10

Susanne war sehr nett und hat uns tolle Lokale gezeigt und interessante Facts zu den Orten oder Wien erzählt. Die ersten beiden Stops waren auch super. Allerdings haben wir dann beim zweiten Stop recht lange gebraucht, sodass wir nach hinten raus zu wenig Zeit hatten, um noch etwas anständiges zu essen. Der dritte Stop war dann in einem Pralinenladen und der letzte ein Café zum Bier trinken. Es war also relativ wenig Essen bei der Tour und das letzte Café wirkte eher zufällig gewählt. Laut Beschreibung hätte es 6x Essen/Trinken geben sollen. Wir sind aber somit nur auf 4 Stops gekommen. Wir kennen das so anders von anderen Foodtouren, vor allem für diesen Preis.Gut, aber zu wenig Foodstops

Roxane hat sich super nach den Bedürfnissen der Gruppe gerichtet. Wollen die mehr weniger, kürzer ..oder noch was anderes wissen. Geschichtliche zusammenhänge wurden witzig in Anektoten verpackt und verknüpft mit was wir schon gesehen hatten -so merkt man sich wirklich was. Wir werden Sie jedenfalls weiter empfehlen- wir haben Sie als Private Führerin genommen, und das war super!!!Wirklich großartig & lustig!

Claudia is very personable and very knowledgeable about the history, architecture, and culture of Vienna. She led us through the highlights of the city and hidden areas for walking and traversing the town that only locals would know. As this was our first time in Vienna, we chose a City Kickstart tour through Withlocals to get an overview and introduction of what to see. Our local guide, Roxana was amazing! In addition to her bubbly warm personality, she was a wealth of knowledge. In the relatively short time together, we learned more about the history, art, culture and unique aspects we never would have picked up in a large group tour or reading a visitors' guide. Doing this on foot was fanastic as we saw so much and knew exactly where we wanted to return to to spend more time and tour inside. Roxane amazed us with her depth of understanding the history: good, bad and quirky facts that were fascinating to listen to. A really great experience! Sandie can tell you a lot about Vienna as well as travelling to many other places. In terms of food, there is plenty to eat! It is a good mix of savory and sweet Austrian dishes. It is also a good introduction to the city's center -- this is a great thing to do on the first day of a stay in Vienna, as it will give you a good sense of both the city and the cuisine. Great introduction to Viennese cusine.

Sandie is a wonderful vivacious Guide. She was knowledgeable & engaging. She picked me up at my hotel & as we walked she explained the history & significance of the buildings & monuments. Her tour was perfectly pitched for a first time visitor. My food experience was amazing. I so enjoyed my sandwiches @ Trezesniewski. We next went to Cafe Engländer where I enjoyed the best Vienna Schnizel & potato salad - the dressing was delicious. I enjoyed my first glass of Viennese wine - similar to Riesling. Desert was at Cafe Diglas & even though I was fit to burst I managed to enjoy the most delicious Apple Strudel Sandie was generous with her time & my tour ran until its natural conclusion. We only had one day in Vienna and really felt Claudia-Marie was the best fit for us. She worked around her schedule so we could have a 3-hour city tour with her. She was so knowledgeable, but also mixed in a lot of stories with the facts which made it so much more pleasurable and memorable. Even though it was a city tour, we stopped in a famous place and got a pastry and had an opportunity to sit and get out of the cold as well as an amazing wine bar with a cellar! Claudia-Marie helped us look for unique gifts as we walked as well. With her archeology background, she was able to add another dimension to the history and architecture.
