We are a family of 5 who met with Ioannis on our first day in Athens. He was fabulous !! He was very knowledgeable about history and culture and shares with is us some Greek mythology too. He recommended wonderful out of the way places to go back to, which we did, including a rooftop bar and a delicious traditional restaurant away from the tourists. Would highly recommend Ioannou. Ioannis was the perfect guide. His initial greeting was gracious and welcoming. I had written to him before the tour to inform him that I required a slow pace and occasional rest stops. I was only in Athens a short time for the first time and wanted to get a sense and feel for the city. Dionysis was accommodating and really flexible. I booked for a much shorter time that we actually spent walking and touring. His archaeologist background and passion for Athens is evident with his knowledge and take on ancient Greece and the current state of things He has wonderful grecian hospitality and informative insight. Thomas took my travel group of 8 around Athens for half a day and everyone had a fabulous time. Thomas is engaging and knowledgeable. He first made sure that the rest of our stay in Athens was well scripted and made useful suggestions. Then we set off pounding the pavement and the time flew by in an instant. Between the historical background, the anecdotes, and the jokes, even the teenagers were engaged which happens approximately never. What a great experience we had with Ioannis. He clearly takes great pride in sharing his love for Athens and the food and culture there Don’t expect to walk around the touristy areas. Ioannis took us off the beaten path to vibrant local neighborhoods where we experienced how real Greeks eat and shop. The dinner spot he chose for us set the bar for every meal we had during our entire 12-day trip—it became our gold standard! Real authentic cuisine. Most importantly, Ioannis was incredibly accommodating, especially when it came to my food allergy. Not only did he handle it with care, but he also kept the mood light and fun and managed to turn those moments into laughs. Niko was very flexible to accommodate our unique timing and needs. He had great stories and history to share. We visited a local gem of a cover beach. He did not accompany us to the temple so in that way he was more of a driver than tour guide. We had a lovely meal at a local taberna. Thanks Niko! Fun, local experience!

Ioanni was amazing!!!! We were SO happy we hired him for our morning tour through part of the center. Ioannis masterfully wove mythology, architecture, history, and cultural information all together. We had two teenagers with us and while history and mythology isn’t really their thing, ioannis included them and made it a bit more interactive. We loved his explanation of the Agora, our walk through Anafiotika (neighborhood of tiny homes at base of Acropolis in the Plaka), and our walk through various neighborhoods. So much info packed in a few hours!!!! Wonderful!

We had a group of 5 adults and were able to arrange a full-day Delphi trip from Alimos on June 5, 2025. Nikos was an excellent guide and a wealth of information. From picking us up at our VRBO to stopping for coffee and pastries to get an early morning off to a good start, everyone in our group had a wonderful day. We were able to make modifications as the trip progressed that best suited our group and Nikos offered great workable options. History, mythology and humor flowed naturally throughout the trip and we remained captivated and entertained throughout. Our lunch stop was spectacular as well, for both food and view. Ioannis was a wonderful guide. He is very knowledgeable about this history of Greece. He took up on the Cape Sounio tour. Ioannis was prompt, friendly, passionate about Greece. He truly went out of his was to meet any requests we had. He chose a wonderful lunch spot for us along the coast, which had the freshest seafood and a stunning view. He made sure we had a wonderful table, which was kind gesture. He found us a perfect spot along the coast free from the crowds, we went on our tour on a Greek holiday, so the beaches were unusually busy. We had a fantastic experience with Thomas. He led us on a guided walking tour of the city which took us through all the major sites. Thomas has an encyclopedic knowledge of Greek culture, language and history and was able to contextualize everything we saw. Nikolas was a bright spot on our last day in Athens. He is a skilled driver and as a Greek native gave us tips on the islands he recommends while in our way to the vineyard. We really enjoyed our trip to Cape Sounio and the Temple of Poseidon with Nikos. We arranged to be picked up at our cruise terminal and dropped off at our hotel in the afternoon. Ioannis was great! We had a personalized tour experience with him. He asked what we were doing afterwards, and we told him the Acropolis, so he designed our tour to end close the Acropolis. He also recommended a restaurant for lunch that had our favorite baklava of the trip! For our actual tour, he showed us around and gave us the history of all the ruins as well as a few secret bars/restaurants that had great ambience (one had a fantastic view). He answered all of our questions, taught us, and took pictures for us. We highly recommend Ioannis!Great guide!

Thomas was an absolutely amazing tour guide. He was kind, funny, very knowledgeable, and the perfect person to guide a tour! You can just tell by the way he speaks of both ancient and modern history that it is a passion for him, so if you enjoy history he is the best guide for you. It was truly like having your friend show you around. He provided drinks and snacks for the drive and made great conversation. He told us about the history and mythology of the places we were driving by in the way, and he had a PDF ready to go for the site itself since he couldn't enter with us!
