Our guide ,Manuel, was super accomodating, helpful and knowledgable and made us enjoy our day trip to Verona. The restaurant that he recommended for lunch, Trattoria Fluviale Vecio Mulin, was so good and tucked away, as only a local would know as it was what we wanted. We enjoyed the view of the river and the castle while enjoying the great food. Our trip to Verona is indeed made memorable with Manuel as our guide.In love with Verona

This was our second tour with Martina during this stay in Verona. Martina was simply exceptional in looking after us on this occasion also. She arranged for her boyfriend Henny to take host us for the initial part of the tour. We thoroughly enjoyed his company during the wine tasting. Martina then took over and completed the tour which included a visit to Lazise. Again, her knowledge of the area and historical locations was outstanding. We are particularly grateful for her care and assistance in conveying us to Bardolino which was our next location for our visit to Verona and Lago di Garda. We like to preview areas for planning our future trips to Italy. Martina took us on a half day trip to see the beautiful area of Lake Garda. Martina took us to a winery that we loved. My husband does not even drink and thoroughly enjoyed the tour about the process and the history of the winery, owned by two sisters. Martina was knowledgeable about the region. Alessandro was a great tour guide. He was able to accommodate a short notice tour and we saw some really great things. He had a lot of information about the area and was easy to talk to. Unfortunately a lot of sites were closed down during our time there, but Alessandro was able to make up for that by showing us more off the beaten path sites and took us to an incredible winery. We booked a day trip to Lake Garda and the surrounding area with Alessandro on February 13 25, He was prompt to the hotel and our journey was on. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate, it was foggy and drizzly. But Alessandro did his best to keep us entertained. We stopped at several villages and took in the history of the area. We concluded our day trip with a tour of a local Winery, what a great way to finish the day. I would do another tour with Alessandro,he is knowledgeable,courtesy and helpful. We met Manuel at the Porta Borsari and immediately felt welcome and at ease. He delighted us with facts about Verona, its history, lifestyle and customs. Our tour took us to the main attractions in the old part of the city and a wonderful selection of wines and tasty foods. I had a last minute oppurtunity to tour Verona and Alex happened to be available. He catered the tour to the flow of questions and time allowance we had. It was a great mix of history, food, and of course he even mixed in some wine. Alex knows his city and wasted no time navigating from one point to another. We have been on a lot of tasting tours in various cities. We do it as a way to acclimate ourselves. Alessandro’s tour wasn’t the typical where you eat something, walk a couple blocks, eat something else. He took us out on the town in his city. He showed it to us as a proud son of Verona, imbuing history and coloring it with the personal. We did duck into places to try a nibble here or sit down in one place to try several bites. One eatery he wanted to showcase wasn’t open, but it was okay. He gave us recommendations for the rest of our stay—many of which we tried. His recommendations were spot on. We met Alessandro on a very rainy day for a tour of Verona. He took us to some amazing places, including a very old wine shop, fantastic pizza (the best we've had in Italy), and all of the important sites. Martina picked us up at our apartments and drove us to the Valpolicella region where we enjoyed tastings at two different wineries. Martina, being from a wine-making family, had great background knowledge of the area and the processes in the vineyard and the winery leading to the production of the final product. An enthusiastic, interactive and genial host, Martina was able to convey the knowledge in a complete way and increased our understanding of the different requirements to produce the finished products emanating from the region. We went to her friends winery first and had an introductory wine tasting, paired with local cheeses and meats (yummy!), then on to Martina's family winery wit more exploration of the processes and tastings of their selected wines (excellent). But not only the wine - before we returned to Verona we were treated to a scenic tour through the hills overlooking Verona, including the views from a retreat/ monastic area which were spectacular. All in all a wonderful excursion into the world of wines in this region. Alessandro came up with a fantastic personalised tour of Monte Baldo and its beautiful forests and mountain scenery and then we went along the shoreline of Lake Garda. Starting at the dramatically beautiful north end of the lake, down to the more popular and picturesque southern villages. He was informative and friendly and knew the best views, gelato stops, prettiest towns and food spots along the way. My husband and I met with Alessandro near to where we were staying at his suggestion which was very helpful. He showed us lots of things we would have missed without his help. We booked this tour as soon as we arrived in verona for 3 night break. This proved invaluable as we didn't waste time trying to find our way round. Izabela was brilliant and very informative,showing us the main places of interest and giving us tips on where to eat and drink. Alessandro was a very good guide; he was personable, knowledgeable and informative. If this were a history tour, I would have rated the tour a "7". However, the tour was advertised as a food tour with "10 tastings". We had 3 (one stop for gelato, one stop for a glass of wine, and one stop for tortellini). The reason we signed up for this tour was to get a food tasting experience in Verona. We did not get that. It was a very good city/history tour, but very overpriced for its kind. Truth in advertising is important. Not a "food tour" as advertised

We hebben 3 food stops gehad en een aantal wijn tastings. Dus ga niet uit van 10 stops, je zit ook echt vol na de 3 stops. Juist omdat het gepersonaliseerd is op jou wensen is dit ideaal en proef je ook de dingen waar jou voorkeur naar uitgaat. Een goede leerzame en leuke tour!

It was the first Time for us in Verona and we had tickets for Nabucco in the evening. Days before the guided tour, we received confirming messages from Alessandro, which was very welcome and comforting as we then knew that everything would go to Plan. On the day we met Alessandro Right in front of our accomodation - Right on Time. During our tour we got a lot of detailed Information from a very Knowledgable Guide. We also stopped at several traditional Cafés, Restaurants, best Pizza Shops and best Gelati in town. Not only did we speak about the history of Verona and it’s architecture, but also about how it feels to Live in Verona today. Alessandro is well-known and has a good network, as we Met a number of his Friends during the tour. It was an intense and holístic experience and gave a lot of Inspiration for our own walks through Verona‘s rich history. Alessandro also organized ( and paíd, to our surprise - and of course, we paid him back, although he did. Not ask ) for Drinks and Food during the tour. Never would we have found the hidden places, recommended and explained by Alessandro. And with this Information we were able to have Dinner in the best Restaurants to our Taste and budget. Alessandro did Not repeat a once-and-for-all Tour, but adjusted the tour, information and conversation to our needs. We can fully recommend a tour through Verona guided by a very competent, friendly and Open Alessandro !Verona for Beginners

Wir hatten die Tour für 4 Personen (2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder - 12 und 14 Jahre) gebucht. Martina, unser Guide war pünktlich am Treffpunkt und auch die Kommunikation voher war perfekt. Wir konnten schon mal uns vorher austauschen, was wir gerne essen und was nicht. Martina hat uns zielsicher durch Verona geführt und uns auch ein paar wichtige Geschichtsdaten zur Stadt und den Sehenswürdigkeiten erzählt. Das war nicht nur eine Food Tour, sondern eine gute Kombination. Die ausgewählten Lokale (man würde es als neudeutsch "Streetfood" bezeichnen) waren perfekt und hätte man als Tourist ohne Ortskenntnisse nicht gefunden oder nicht besucht. Man kann auch teilweise die Produkte im Laden kaufen und mitnehmen. Hab ich für eine Art Chutney auch gemacht. Besonders der Nudelladen und der Eisladen hat es uns angetan. Auch ging Martina auf individuelle Wünsche (Wein, Fleisch) ein. Martina hatte einen sehr schnellen Schritt durch die Stadt. Etwas mehr Gemütlichkeit während der Tour wäre okay gewesen. Die Aussage "10 Tastings" ist etwas irreführend. Wir waren an 6 Stationen mit unterschiedlichen Gerichten. Wir hatten dort verschiedene Gerichte. Aber wie die 10 Tastings gezählt werden ist schwer zu sagen. Schwierig war immer das Aufteilen der Snacks. Z.b. waren 6 verschiedene belegte Brote auf dem Tisch. Jeder wollte jedes Brot probieren. Das war nicht ganz einfach. Ich würde empfehlen ein Messer mitzunehmen. Die Dauer war mit ca. 3 Stunden angegeben. Nach 2.5 Stunden waren wir fertig. Zu viert haben wir knapp 280 Euro bezahlt. Uns hat es gut gefallen. Preis vielleicht etwas zu hoch.Essenstour Verona

We made a last minute reservation with Izabela for a 2.5-hour walking tour of Verona. It was so much fun! Izabela provided interesting historical notes and showed us some cool off-the-beaten-path locations. She went above and beyond by providing some restaurant and general food tips. Her tips on Amarone wine were particularly helpful when we were checking out the menu later that night. We can't recommend Izabela enough!Izabela is the best!
