We had an unforgettable day hiking around Monserrat with Oriol. He was an excellent guide; great English & fun to be chat with during the day. Very knowledgeable on history of the mountain & Spain. Oriol gave us time to explore the church & museum. We were planning to listen to the kids choir, unfortunately traffic delayed our arrival. Marc handled all the initial planning & communication. He was very responsive to my requests. He secured a reservation for our lunch (4 courses) at the hotel which was needed after a rigorous hike (not included) . We especially appreciate him arranging the guide to pick us up at our train station in central BCN as we were unfamiliar with the area/metro upon arrival. In retrospect we could have hailed a taxi to meet him at a more convenient location. Our day in Monserrat hiking with Oriol was our favorite activity during our 3 city tour of Spain. I give Marc & Oriol my highest recommendation!! It’s worth every penny. Monserrat hiking

Our experience with locals was amazing .. from a custom itinerary planned with Marc to our day spent with Miguel. Right from the start Miguel was very personable, welcoming. The knowledge he shared during the drive was so informative. We enjoyed our time at the Basilica at Montserrat and then had an enjoyable hike to the top of the mountain. Our local lunch was delicious and authentic and we would recommend Miguel to anyone who wants to learn about Catalan culture. Our guide Miguel picked us up outside our hotel and we instantly knew we were going to have a great day! Miguel is a very experienced mountain guide who shared his love of Monserrat and hiking with us throughout the day. The monastery & church were interesting but the real star of our visit was the mountain itself. Our hike took us up past various small chapels and the views the whole way were spectacular! Miguel let us set the pace of our hike and really took good care of us - even being our photographer and capturing some amazing pictures of us along the way. We really enjoyed getting out of the city and seeing the holy mountain that is so important to the region. If you book this trip, ask for Miguel!Beauty outside of Barcelona

The trip was unforgettable. Amalia made sure we had everything prepared, she messaged me the day before and provided me with a raincoat. She was fantastically upbeat and knowledgeable.
