I spent a wonderful afternoon on January with Thomas exploring hidden foodie hotpots from the Vatican area and over a bridge to central Rome. We tasted everything from chocolate espresso to arancini, mouth-watering pastries, freshly squeezed pomegranate juice in an old market, to supply and 3 types of pizza. As we walked he also talked about art and history and was mire than happy to customise the tour if needed (he found me an amazing hidden place to photograph Rome from on high). At the end he even found my bus stop for me. Absolutely recommend!Fantastic foodie walk through Rome

Vania is a lovely person. She made us feel very comfortable. The food was wonderful everywhere she took us. However, what made her so special is that she went above and beyond and was very kind to us. My husband lost his wallet, and she helped us call the taxi companies. She didn't have to do that, but that just showed what a kind person she is and how much she cares for other people. We had a wonderful time with Vania!We loved Vania!

Not only was this a tour from sample place to the next but our host also peppered the tour with deep insights about the people and their way of life. I think if you not from Italy or used to the food you can get there one can often walk past many items without knowing what you have just missed out on. Simone spent the morning with us showing as around his old hood and sharing stories of his family/childhood and then relating them back to the eateries/markets etc that we visited. Turn up with empty stomachs and if you doing it in summer time make sure you book early AM or later afternoon - it's too hot to do this experience from midday to say 4pm. Great choice and guide thanks Simone!What an interesting morning ...

hat uns auf Deutsch durch Rom geführt und wir können sie jedem weiterempfehlen. Sie hat uns all unsere Fragen über die Stadt und die typischen Klischees für Italien ganz offen beantwortet. Sie hat mit uns gelacht, sie hat uns Gassen und Geschäfte gezeigt die wir als typische Touristen gar nicht wahrgenommen hätten und sie hat uns sogar Tipps für unsere weiteren Besuchsziele gegeben, obwohl sie das gar nicht müsste. Der Preis für die Tour schien Anfangs etwas hoch, aber wir können ganz ehrlich sagen, diese Führung mit Eleonora war jeden € Wert und es war das Beste unseres ganzen Städtetrips. Must do! Five years ago, I took this same tour with Gabriele. This year I brought some new friends to experience Rome and we started with this 10 Tastings of Rome tour. This walking tour is a great way to see a good part of the city, and Gabriele was happy to let us spend more time at the Largo di Torre Argentina than planned. We had a wonderful time with Gabriele. Our group was 7 people - ages 10 to 73! And we all had such a good time. Gabriele was a terrific guide - he is a great storyteller and shared with us some very interesting history. He also has great taste when it comes to food - we tried all kinds of food and it was all delicious. We were stuffed by the end of the tour! And because it was my mom’s birthday, Gabriele treated us to a lovely bottle of Prosecco. He made it a great day out in Rome! His communication was also great - he reached out after I booked the tour and leading up to it to make sure I was clear on the meeting spot. I highly recommend a day out with Gabriele!The BEST time!

Gabriele did a wonderful job of accommodating our multigenerational family (ages 11 to 70+) on a food tour of Rome. Each tasting was unique and something we wouldn't have found or ordered on our own. Gabriele's way of telling the stories about buildings, alley ways, and historic sites between each tasting made the walk even more special. Gabriele was professional, kind and full of knowledge. He tailored our short time together to meet our wants and desires. He took us to artisan shops to taste delicious items that we otherwise would never know about. He told us fascinating facts about the neighborhood we visited. I just wish we had more time! We were on a cruise and had to make the trek back to port via bus and train but the 2 hours we had with him were immersive and well worth it. Rome is a tourist mess and he honed it down to simple and easy. Really Rome

Sara is amazing. She knew we had done some tastings before and worked hard to find different local specialties for us. We really wanted to experience Trastevere and Jewish Ghetto and she took us to some many great spots that we all loved. It was a wonderful combination of walking tour, food tastings, history, culture and BEAUTIFUL quiet streets and happening restaurants. One of our most favorite experiences for me, my husband and 21 & 22 year old kids! Highly recommend Sara!Terrific afternoon for our whole family!

Gabriele was phenomenal, besides the fact we where extremely late and lost, he was very patient and provided exceptional service. His knowledge of Rome was great and he even helped made us dinner reservations. Not to mention the food on the tour was beyond our expectations at every stop! Together with our guide Simone we went for a food tour through Roma and I can say we had a super afternoon. Simone told us a lot about Roma and its history. At the end of the tour he also gave some tips for winebars in the Vatican area. The food we had was almost too much but so good *thumbs up*.. The suppli, the Roman style pizza, the porchetta, the wine... no need to book a restaurant for the evening :) One note; maybe WithLocals should mention on the website that the market in the Vatican City is closed on sunday, so people can take that in consideration when booking that tour on the sunday. Super!

Gabi was friendly and knowledgeable, and most importantly a food lover. He took us down streets we would never have thought to venture into so that we could experience the real Rome. He then showed us where to find authentic and delicious food to eat. He always chose the best food from each place we visited, which was a flavour explosion. As an additional benefit, we were able to purchase the wonderful balsamic vinegar, olive oil and cheese we tasted so we could enjoy it after the tour! A definite must do on your trip to Rome! Daniele was great. My wife kept saying how much she appreciated seeing the things tourists typical don't spent the time to see. I don’t know if I can adequately express what a fantastic tour we had with Gabriele! From the first hello we knew we were going to have an amazing time and Gabriele did not disappoint. We ate, drank, laughed and by the end it was like saying farewell to an old friend. I can’t recommend this tour enough because in between tasty treats we learned about different neighbourhoods and the history of Rome. Eleonora is everything you want in a guide. Knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. She felt more like a family member, actual we liked her to much to be family, than a guide. We enjoyed all of our tastings (Cannoli, both white and red piazza, Porchetta, and Gelato) truth was it was all excellent. Our teenage daughters had a great time as well, everyone felt included and she was mindful and selective based in our likes/dislikes. Great tour

We loved Withlocals tour with Gabriel! It was more than just food tastings! We walked and he gave us little history of key points in Rome: Campo di Fiore, Pantheon, Jewish ghetto and more! Loved it! We hadden een tour gereserveerd van 16.00 tot 19.00 uur. De ontmoeting was erg fijn, Simone is erg open en vriendelijk. Spreekt goed Engels en staat ervoor open om vragen te beantwoorden. Wir haben die Tour mit Eleonora gebucht und waren rundum zufrieden. Eleonora ist total lieb und hat uns nicht nur ein paar seeehr leckere typisch römische/italienische Gerichte gezeigt, sondern uns auch darüber hinaus viele tolle Tipps für weitere Restaurants etc. gegeben. Gabriele was the perfect tour guide for this food tour through the streets of Rome. We saw many sites and learned about the fun stories and urban myth scattered throughout.
