With Etienne we seem to have found "the man" to guide us through the City. We chose the "main sights" tour and were not at all disappointed. Etienne made the three hours pass in a rush with all the little funny stories and anecdotes, we will for sure remember this for long and maybe we can come back once for one of his other offerings! Es war die beste Art, sich Antwerpen rasch zu nähern und zu erschliessen. Durch Etiennes wunderbare Führung zum Thema Architektur mit Start am Bahnhof und vielen tollen kleinen Geschichten rundherum, bekamen wir einen schnellen Einblick in die Geschichte der Stadt und ihre Besonderheiten. We spent an afternoon with Etienne on April 20, 2018 in Antwerp and thoroughly enjoyed his Architecture tour. Etienne was flexible with the scheduling and itinerary, since we started the tour at the Antwerpen Centraal station and worked our way through the tour in a reverse path. We did not want to spend the day in museums and the architecture tour was the perfect way to enjoy a beautiful sunny day in Antwerp and still learn history of the city. We saw examples of many designs as well as visit a few stores in the shopping district that are modern but preserve the old character of the building. We also learned about what is going on in Antwerp today. We certainly appreciated Ettienne's knowledge, passion and opinions on Antwerp and would strongly recommend this tour!Feeling local in Antwerp

I did the architecture tour with Etienne on a Sunday. Although some of the planned stops were closed, I couldn't have asked for a more thorough, informational walk around the city. You can tell Etienne is knowledgable and loves what he does. It was just me and Etienne the entire 3+ hours and it was so enjoyable to be able to go at my pace, ask a million questions (to which he had all the answers), and get to know him personally as well! I never felt rushed the entire tour and, because he had some extra time, Etienne even walked me back to the waterfront afterward as I had not seen that part of town yet. THANK YOU Etienne for a wonderful introduction to Antwerp! Cheers!Far better than a group walking tour!

Etienne heeft me veel verteld wat ik nog niet wist over de architectuur van het station en de geschiedenis van de joodse buurt en zijn vroegere en huidige bewoners. Hij heeft veel kennis paraat en paste het ter plekke aan al naar gelang mijn eigen kennis. Heel fijn. Het was behalve een zeer interessante wandeling ook een heel gezellige. Van harte aanbevolen ! We had an amazing day with Etienne learning about the history and current state of Jewish life in Antwerp. For someone who is not Jewish, he is very knowledgeable about the culture and traditions, and does an excellent job of tailoring the tour towards the group. He was excellent to work with in terms of figuring out logistics as we were arriving from the cruise port in Zeebrugge for the day. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see a different side of Antwerp!An excellent & educational day in Antwerp

Had a great tour with Entienne. He is very entertaining made the tour enjoyable. However, as with most guides, all his facts aren’t necessary true. I pointed out some of the errors to him. For example, he stated the first Hatzalah was in Antwerp. It wasn’t. It was in Williamsburg, NY. He stated that Orthodox Jews couldn’t walk more than 10,000 on the Sabbath. No such thing. Still, I would highly recommend Entienne!Jewish Antwerp in 2 hours

I think it makes absolutely no sense to visit the Jewish quarter und diamond district without a guide. Both are not very spectacular at first glance - so you will only unterstand and see after a guided tour. Our 20 year old daughters also enjoyed the tour very much.
