Spring took us on an amazing food tour of areas in Saigon/HCMC that we never would have found ourselves. The food was amazing, and plentiful, allowed us to try things we wouldn’t otherwise, and explore an area of the city that usually only the locals see. Spring is also the best kind of tour guide- funny ( yes, even your Dad jokes Spring!), interesting, and catered the tour to our family with 2 older teens perfectly. Even down to helping us book our Grab motor bike rides back to the hotel. Thank you Spring- you are the best! The best tour we’ve done!

We went on a walking food tour of Ho Chi Minh City with Spring. Can't say enough good things. She is knowledgeable, friendly, cheerful. We felt a real connection. It was clearly more than just a job for her. Two of us needed vegetarian food, and she knew just where to go--places we'd never have found on our own. We miss her. Hieu took us on a historical-architectural walking tour. He's extremely knowledgeable, outgoing, flexible. We passed an optician's store that was inhabited by a number of cats, so our tour stopped to visit the cats. Hieu helped us understand some of the painful history of the North-South-American war. Both led us through some of the narrow alleys of Ho Chi Minh City, bringing us to a part of the city we'd never otherwise see--a whole world whose existence we'd never expect.Excellent Guided Experience

If you’re going to Ho Chi Minh, add this to your to do list! Hieu did a fantastic job showing his local favorites, navigating the streets, and sharing recommendations for the city. Spring gave us a unique immersion in Vietnamese life on this tour. Our delicious and authentic street food experience was invaluable for later reference about flavours, ingredients and the regions of origin of the dishes. We joined Spring on this awesome tour with our 18 month old and his grandparents. We strolled through the cooler laneways and learned about Vietnamese culture and food. The walking food tour with Elise was a highlight of our time in Saigon. Elise is lovely, articulate and provided great information about the food of Saigon, as well as some background on the culture of street food and about the Vietnamese people in general. We enjoyed all of the food, and there was so much of it. Most of the places we visited were in close proximity to Ben Tranh Market, but then we took a rideshare to District 3 which allowed us to experience another part of the city. I highly recommend booking a tour with Elise, and make sure you are hungry!!!Must do - Elise was a hospitable guide

Spring was a fantastic guide and met our expectations perfectly. She was well organised throughout, from planning the meet up to getting us safely into a taxi to get back to our ship, making sure we understood how everything worked. She double checked our dietary allergies and likes/dislikes at the beginning of the tour, so we felt confident that there'd be no nasty surprises. Throughout the tour, Spring gave us useful information about the city, language and customs, as well as the food she introduced us to. We really felt she'd given us the knowledge and confidence to move away from the 'safe', predictable tourist eateries and look for the where the locals eat. We walked through the little alleyways, which was so interesting to see how people in Ho Chi Minh lived and ate at an array of restaurants, cafes and street stalls along the way. We loved trying a variety of exotic fruit at a market stall, many of which we'd never seen before. There were some delicious noodle dishes and amazing coffees but our favourite was the banana fritters from a family street stall. It's impossible to describe just how good the food was! Spring is friendly, considerate and so good at what she does that we would definitely ask her for another tour and recommend her to anyone wanting to experience the flavours of Ho Chi Minh. A truly memorable trip! Informative, memorable and delicious!

Spring was a tremendous guide able to take us- a meat eater and a pescatarian - to a variety of spots to eat and taste a wide variety of dishes and drinks. Her English is excellent and she has a great sense of humour. We hadn't realised it was a private tour so that was an unexpected bonus. She answered all our questions and we felt that we ate till we were full to bursting and learned a lot about life in Vietnam. Afterwards she sent us the list of places we'd visited so were able to revisit our favourites at our leisure. It was good to venture into District 3 and explore a less touristy area too. We thoroughly recommend this tour for the start of your stay in Vietnam.The perfect food tour!

Elise took us around Ho Chi Minh City tasting amazing local foods including Michelin star dishes with specialty corn and sticky rice. We had the most scrumptious and fresh green papaya salad, and crunchy Banh Mi with pate and fresh vegetables! Elise is knowledgeable and friendly. She made sure to avoid trigger foods that my friend has due to serious food allergies. We thoroughly enjoyed our time together, walking around the city and appreciating Sargon after dark! Our tour with Spring was a great way to get to know Saigon, while tasting some delicious local cuisine and walking around the streets and back alleys of Districts 1 and 3. We originally booked a lunch food tour but Hieu suggested to meet during dinner time as there were more street foods available. He was very prompt in responding via WhatsApp! We met up during a rainy night but that didn’t stop us from enjoying our excursions. Hieu shared his knowledge about the culinary world in Vietnam based on flavors and specialties from each different regions. My mother is a pescatarian and I don’t eat beef. Hieu made sure that all of the foods were catered to our needs. He was familiar with all of the vendors that we visited. We chatted and got to know each other along the way. Elise was warm and friendly and immediately made an impression on our kids. We were able to ask all the questions we wanted about the food, and Elise really knew her stuff. She made sure we were comfortable at every stop with a spot to sit, and a cold drink for the kids. We tried so many dishes, and they were all so different in taste, a great variety. Her instructions for the meeting point we're clear, and she answered promptly when we needed to clarify directions. The only information I felt we needed was that our final food stop was not where we started and our kids were tired to walk back. However even with that occurrence, Elise helped us order a car and showed us how to use Grab, which was a great tool for the remainder of the trip. A great welcome to Saigon

Elise was fabulous. She was knowledgeable, kind and caring. The day plan was beyond our expectations. We expected a few snacks but we had four meals. All were different and covered a wide range of food and locations. She gave us a running commentary on life and culture in the country. Seeing more of what life is like for the people is so different than being in a mass tour bus. We are a bit older and she was careful to look after our needs. If we get back we will use her and also her mother's cooking lessons.Amazing experience

My family had a great time with Elise on our first day in Ho Chi Minh - she took us to lots of amazing local places that seemed really genuine, sharing her knwoeldge about the food, country & culture along the way. We ate a lot of very delicious food at places you'd never find on your own, so doing this tour with Elise was definitely worthwhile. She was also really accommodating to my youngster daughter, who isn't that adventurous with food, making sure she could still enjoy the local cuisine and provided us with more recommendations for the rest of our holiday too.
