This was our 2nd tour with Valentina, who is AMAZING (knowledgeable and organized with a warm and friendly personality). We took it just as it got dark for some extra atmosphere. It was not a creepy tour and we loved walking the city in the dark, seeing less touristy neighborhoods, haunted sites and learning about the history of the ghosts was fascinating. Another Not To Be Missed Tour!

We had such a great time with Valentina! We wish we could have booked more tours with her. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to talk to. It was rainy and cold when we took our evening walking tour and she made it so much fun, we could have stayed out all night. She told us stories about almost every corner and kept us entertained. Valentina was a lovely, friendly guide, full of information on Rome and its history. It was great to go off the beaten tourist track a little and learn of some of the characters and stories that are part of this beautiful city's colourful past. My nephew and I enjoyed our ghost tour of Rome with Valentina. We visited beautiful places and heard interesting stories of some of Rome's historical ghosts. Valentina's communication in advance was very good. We would recommend this tour if you are interesting in a lovely stroll through the historic centre while hearing some tales of former residents. Our first time in Rome and the first time I have used 'With locals'. Very relieved everything happened as promised! It was great fun to spend 2 hours with Valentina listening to her ghost stories. As we walked between each site we also asked hundreds of questions about Rome which she gladly answered for us. Our three hour tour of the Colosseo, Palentine Hill and the Roman Forum with Valentina on our first day of a two week "Italian Roman Holiday" was an excellent way to start the vacation for the foursome of us. Valentina was amazing in knowledge and history. We (I) learned more in one hour inside the Colosseo with Valentina, than all the previous trips there and reading National Geographic growing up! The Palentine Hill was much larger than I had appriciated and Valentina pointed out various details in The Forum (i.e games carved into steps temples converted to churches, etc. ) that I had either missed or was lacking in insight by other tour guides on visits to other ancient Roman cities thru out the Mediterrean. As the day went on, we got to know Valentina more as a person, than "just" a WithLocal Guide. . . a true bonus, by the end of the three hours, of a hot June day, we had more of acquaintances, than just guide and tourists . . . . Cannot recommend Valentina enough for any tour she does. We booked her for the colosseum, roman forum and palatine hill and the tour was fantastic. She is very educated on the topics and having a private tour was so much more personal than the large groups. It was so fascinating learning all about the history.
