We learned about the different faces of Milan and visited multiple parts of the city. He told nice little facts and gave tips for the next days of our visit. Salvatore was great! His was calm patient and very knowledgeable! Spoke English well. Although it was a typical rainy day in Milan we chose to do the "romantic tour" since we had only 2 hrs. We are grateful to Salvatore for the amazing tour of Milan. He absolutely went above and beyond to show us his beautiful city. He took his time to show us many of the popular tourist spots as well as the several impressive modern and environmentally friendly buildings. He showed us how to use Milan's extensive subway system, and we took the subway & tram easily for the rest of our stay. His pizza restaurant recommendation for our first dinner was right on spot. Francesca did a fantastic job although time was limited due to our hectic travel schedule. She waited for us patiently at the railway station and even came to the station later to bid goodbye to all of us. She took us to the most iconic places in Milan, including a nice restaurant for lunch and explained everything in detail. She is very knowledgeable and a friendly person. Francesca gave us a wonderful tour of Milan. We picked 7 pm, thinking it would be cooler, thus some places were already closed. Yet, it was not super crowded and we could move with ease. Francesca gave us the knowledge we were craving about Milan (architects, design, places to eat, etc.) and yet kept us moving. This was a short tour 1.5 hours and I am so impressed with all that she shared in such a short amount of time. I would have never seen all that I saw had it not been for Francesca. This lady knows her stuff!! We started just next to Garibaldi station which is just one stop from Milan Centrale. Saraa is very punctual, friendly and organised. We throughly enjoyed are exploration of the new and the old in Milan! Milan is unique with modern skyscrapers combining with old world charm. Francesca was engaging and entertaining and took us to some very creative shops with fantastic goods and then to some quiet gardens and an old monastery with several gorgeous gardens. She also gave us a recommendation for dinner that proved to be the best in Milan so far! She showed us a piece of Milan that we may have missed. She was excellent! Surprising!

Salvatore started the tour on the square with skyscrapers showing the new side of Milan. Since we organized the tour with some of our customers, which are all within the building industry, this was very nice. After this he showed the old city of Milan including the castle, which we never knew Milan had. We really didn’t know what to expect when we signed up for a tour with withlocals. We met Alice at the designated spot in Porta Nuova. She was so happy to meet us and so friendly and just established an immediate connection. We then spent a wonderful 90 minutes walking around Milan where Alice pointed out all of the sites and gave us a history lesson as well starting from Roman times up to present day. We did not know anything about Milan before we came and we can walk away saying that we have a much better idea of how important Milan is to Italy and its place in the world. We heartily recommend Alice for any kind of tour or information gathering. She is very special!Alice is exceptional!
