Lee was excellent in introducing us to some of the main aspects of the modern history or Berlin. A really friendly and engaging style using historical photos to compare what we saw on the tour with pre the wall coming down. Our first time in Berlin and we were keen to spend sometime with a local to get an overview of Berlin and some thoughts of things to do / see, Lee was really informative, our only regret was we hadn’t booked a longer tour. We had just a short window of time in Berlin with two friends who had never visited before, and I was so happy to find Michele to give us this quick tour of some of the highlights. She was such a pleasure to spend the afternoon with, like running into a super cool opera singer friend in Berlin! Having spent quite a bit of time in Berlin myself in the past, I thought her route and highlights and explanations were a great mix of old and new, history and what’s happening currently in Berlin. As I had a small window of time on my arrival in Berlin, meeting with Betty to discover many of the historical attractions was a beneficial experience. The perfectly executed plan on foot and rail around Berlin to the attractions provided enough flair and excitment to dive further into these attractions on my own when I returned in 2 days. Betty provided detailed information on all the attractions and gave helpful ideas into other areas of interest around Berlin. Betty was a great guide and this was a really good way to an intro of Berlin and a little of the history of the city and WW2. It’s a perfect starter tour especially with a family (we had a 13 year old with us and he said it was fun and exciting). We were a group of 11, so opted for a private tour with a local rather than joining an even larger tour group. Martin was amazing! A seasoned tour guide, who had the gift of making the tour feel personalized and authentic. His personal experience was so insightful and became the take-home memory for most of us. This was our first visit to Berlin and wanted to start our break by obtaining an idea of the key points of interest & the history of this iconic city. Claudia really helped even before we undertook the tour. She asked what interests we had and provided us with ideas of places to visit later on our holiday. She suggested places we would never have found on our own. My husband and I have lived in Berlin three years, and we treated his parents to a tour on their first visit to the city. I would highly recommend Eros for both first-timers, as well as residents, who want a deepened understanding and appreciation of Berlin history! Eros was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging; he hit all of the major sites in Mitte on a compact tour, which was absolutely *packed* with information. He was always able to answer questions, and he also did a great job looking out for family members who couldn't walk as much, finding spots to sit and rest along the way. I was amazed at how much we saw and learned in such a short amount of time; it was honestly a much better experience than the 3.5 hour walking tour I had previously taken, which felt a bit long, slow, and bloated by the end. Michèle gave us a perfect, compact tour of the highlights of the city centre. We walked on our own pace and did not feel in a hurry at all.
