This a must in KL! We had an amazing time trying all the best street food in places we would never have found without Siidoz. Siidoz was super knowledgeable and we learned about the history of KL as well as the street food culture. He was a great host. Our only negative was there was too much food!!! Had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon food tour. Siidoz is very easy to get along with and very knowledgeable on the food and local Culture and the area surrounding Central Market. We were shown down narrow alleyways in China Town which we would never have found and treated to some amazing food Malaysian, Indian and Chinese. Some in restaurants others at small stands serving maybe just four dishes. In the words of Siidoz, non of his guests ever finish a tour not feeling well fed, which was certainly the case. We really enjoyed the tour! He was forgiving when we were unintentionally running about 15 minutes late in meeting him due to an unexpected problem earlier. He introduced us not just to the food we were eating that day, but also local specialties that one could buy in supermarkets and smaller shops as well. He also adjusted the tour itinerary and route to take into one of our party who was older - e.g. more frequent stops at public toilets if required, a slower walking pace, and a stop at a Chinese temple. Oh and the food was delicious - including the fact that we wanted to be challenged at least a little. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending others to book TK on a food tour. Thanks, TK!Friendly, informative, well paced.

Manjeet is knowledgeable, helpful, and fun to be around. She explained the different foods and different restaurant types. She summarized local history to explain why there is such culinary diversity. She patiently answered all our questions about KL, many of which had nothing to do with food. Manjeet gave us an amazing experience in and around the Central market area. We loved her geniune enthusiasm and passion for the food traditions of KL. We enjoyed the following, all in moderate quantities (but it helps if you come on an empty stomach) and explained in detail: Nasi lemak with northern chicken rendang, Dried beef batotok with green pepper, Dry sambal with tempeh and anchovies, Pani puri, Chicken curry puffs, Dosa served on banana leaf with chutneys, Roti canai served with curries, Fruits, Local coffee, ....and then a Curry laksa! Thank you also for so many interesting insights and explanations of the multi-layered Malayian culture.....it was totally fascinating for us.

Our group of 4 enjoyed a great private tour in the heart of KL’s Chinatown with Siddoz and his trainee (Steve?). Siddoz was firstly very patient and understanding as we were delayed in KL traffic for ~15 mins. He catered to my fussy parents, explained the dishes we were trying and introduced us to foods we wouldn’t have ordinarily tried. He also took us to a couple of really cool spots for photo ops, some of the best photos on our holiday (thanks Steve, our personal photographer too!). We had requested a food tour focused on authentic local cuisine and street food that the locals eat here. I am a foodie and amateur cook myself, having lived and worked on three continents – most recently for three years in China. My interest always lies in the true local cuisines of ordinary people. I had not yet experienced Malaysian cuisine firsthand. Through Siddoz, we learned more about this cuisine in one evening than we could have on our own in a week. Siddoz guided us to some good food which was a useful introduction to Malaysian cuisine. He spent quite a lot of time on his phone so there wasn't a lot of interaction between us but he knew his way around the best food stalls which was really what we were interested in! My wife and I opted for a local food tour guide having done something similar some yrs ago in a couple of European cities. Manjeet was so much more than a food guide. Her love of her brief was obvious from the start. Easily the most genuine guide we have ever had. She took great pride in explaining the foods available in KL and delight in our positive responses, which was easy as they were fantastic. From start to finish our tour was like being with a knowledgeable friend. Being taken around by a native KL-er who was as passionate about food as we all are was such a treat. Being taken to local food spots that probably we might not have had the confidence to try and eating/drinking Malaysian food with a lovely friendly local lady was such a treat. Be warned - you will be full if not before the end, at the end. Manjeet has a blog and also loads of tips about other places in Malaysia that she herself has visited many times. Faris knows food and knows how to bring that knowledge to a trip around the culinary secrets of KL He has a vast knowledge of not only the food you are eating but also can tell you how to prepare it and its history and origins He allows you time to browse a few shops and seems to just enjoy being out doing something that he loves. He freely admits that he is not a history buff and although he is happy to talk about KL he really comes alive when he is explaining about the food you are eating. To be fair there is too much food we took some back to the hotel with us for later ( think Christmas dinner stuffed) and you get the idea I can’t praise him enough and would highly recommend him He even gave us a lift back to our hotel and regaled us with tales of his cooking experiences abroad whilst we sat in traffic A great tripBrilliant Food and great company

Thank you TK for taking my family and I on a personalised food tour around Central Market and Petaling Street! TK was extremely responsive from the get-go and really easy to communicate with. On the day, my grandma decided to join and TK was super accommodating. Due to this however, the tour was made challenging as my grandma (being elderly) wanted to wander on her own and didn't really understand the concept of a "tour". Sidoz was knowledgeable and friendly and we enjoyed our time sampling different local foods. There was only one dish we didn't enjoy, but we still were completely full at the end! It was an abrupt end to the session, but that was down to heavy rain that suddenly appeared.Great half day food tour

I met Siddoz (and Cash who was being trained at the time) at the Central Market and was taken on a food tour to remember. I got to sample Malaysian, Chinese and Indian food. Siddoz took us around to places we would not have otherwise found and got to experience some great, authentic food and sights, as well as insights about the history and culture of Malaysia. Highly recommend doing one of these tours, especially if you like trying new foods and finding hidden (inexpensive) gems! Siddoz was also great at giving us some advice the day after, when we were venturing in to Little India - had some of the best Indian we have had there, on his recommendation. I love a food tour. I have done them all over the world. This was one of the best. Faris took us to experience the culinary highlights of old town and central market. We had a fabulous afternoon with Siddoz. Three New Zealanders, we loved all the varied foods he introduced us to... Malaysian, Chinese and Indian. Siddoz is very interesting to talk with, has wide knowledge and an infectious love of food and culture.
