Siidoz was great! There was a person with a nut allergy in the group and he was able to adapt the tour to cater for this. There were also two children (11 years and 13 years). The tour was centred primarily around Chinatown with a good variety of food, both savoury and sweet. He was knowledgeable and engaging, particularly making sure the children were included. There was so much food so make sure you're hungry! Thanks!Great tour

Manjeet gave us the most fantastic food and cultural tour. From start to finish she was amazing! As part of the group we had one person who is coeliac (gluten free) as well as a 4 year old child. From pre-booking discussions we knew we were in great hands as she was really knowledgeable about being gluten free and even supplied a multi-language allergy alert card to use in Malaysia. The tour was adapted to cater for our dietary requirements (even going to a place where the chef is gluten free!) and the food was incredible - a good mixture of sweet and savoury! Our tour included a ride on the train to Little India, which the 4 year old loved, as well as a trip to a bakery. She included cultural landmarks and adapted the tour so we could see the padang and colonial area. She followed up with a list of all the food tried, as well as more details about places to eat gluten free within Malaysia! We cannot speak highly enough of Manjeet. She was engaging, knowledgeable, thoughtful and knew just where to find amazing food! Make sure you go on this tour hungry as there was so much food!! Thank you so much!Amazing!

We took the local street food tour of Kuala Lumpur and Manjeet was an amazing guide. She took us to many excellent food places and displayed a great knowledge about both the food and the city. Manjeet was also quite friendly. She was extremely diligent in ensuring our dietary restrictions (vegetarian) were adhered to. She also provided many other suggestions for things to do around the city during the rest of our stay, including a map of hand picked places to go in nearby Melaka, which we heavily relied on when our tour guide there was awful. As an final example of how great she is: Before the tour started, we had issues with getting a taxi, and she helped us to make a last minute switch to go by the Monorail instead by sending us very helpful screenshots and instructions of what sort of ticket to buy (it was our first day in the city and this certainly saved time given we were already late), and she even adjusted he order of places we visited to make this work. Finally, she gave us a goody bag of desserts since we'd enjoy them more while not so full! Wonderful guide!

Es war großartig mit Manjeet die lokale Küche zu erkunden. Wir waren zu 4 mit einem Vegetarier und sie hatte immer eine Alternative parat. We did the ten tasting out with Manjeet and what a way to start our holiday! Manjeet is incredibly knowledgeable not just about the food but the history and stories behind each dish too. As we made our way through the streets of KL Manjeet explained the history around us. From the very start, she ascertained what we liked and then tailored tastings to suit us, with a few surprises on the way. She even very kindly bought us a few treats to take away and have later. Her English is perfect too, probably better than some of my English friends! We would highly recommend Manjeet, for her knowledge, humour, wit and she is just lovely!Fabulous!

Ruth (and Nehru) took us on a walking food tour one evening in KL and it was amazing - they are such lovely people, great company and local food experts. It truly was one of the highlights of our holiday and we would highly recommend it to others. Just make sure you don't eat too much beforehand as the food is almost never-ending and Ruth even gave us some of her home-cooked goods as well as a 'doggy-bag' of food from the various stalls/places we visited.Fantastic experience

Manjeet was so passionate about the local food and being a local she knew so much about the history. She took us to places we would never have gone into because we wouldn't have known what to order. She took us on the local transport and explained how it worked so we were confident using it during the rest of our trip. If there is one tour you do in KL, make it this one. This a must in KL! We had an amazing time trying all the best street food in places we would never have found without Siidoz. Had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon food tour. Siidoz is very easy to get along with and very knowledgeable on the food and local Culture and the area surrounding Central Market. We were shown down narrow alleyways in China Town which we would never have found and treated to some amazing food Malaysian, Indian and Chinese. Some in restaurants others at small stands serving maybe just four dishes. In the words of Siidoz, non of his guests ever finish a tour not feeling well fed, which was certainly the case. We really enjoyed the tour! He was forgiving when we were unintentionally running about 15 minutes late in meeting him due to an unexpected problem earlier. He introduced us not just to the food we were eating that day, but also local specialties that one could buy in supermarkets and smaller shops as well. He also adjusted the tour itinerary and route to take into one of our party who was older - e.g. more frequent stops at public toilets if required, a slower walking pace, and a stop at a Chinese temple. Oh and the food was delicious - including the fact that we wanted to be challenged at least a little. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending others to book TK on a food tour. Manjeet is knowledgeable, helpful, and fun to be around. She explained the different foods and different restaurant types. She summarized local history to explain why there is such culinary diversity. She patiently answered all our questions about KL, many of which had nothing to do with food. Manjeet gave us an amazing experience in and around the Central market area. We loved her geniune enthusiasm and passion for the food traditions of KL. We enjoyed the following, all in moderate quantities (but it helps if you come on an empty stomach) and explained in detail: Nasi lemak with northern chicken rendang, Dried beef batotok with green pepper, Dry sambal with tempeh and anchovies, Pani puri, Chicken curry puffs, Dosa served on banana leaf with chutneys, Roti canai served with curries, Fruits, Local coffee, ....and then a Curry laksa! Thank you also for so many interesting insights and explanations of the multi-layered Malayian culture.....it was totally fascinating for us.

Our group of 4 enjoyed a great private tour in the heart of KL’s Chinatown with Siddoz and his trainee (Steve?). Siddoz was firstly very patient and understanding as we were delayed in KL traffic for ~15 mins. He catered to my fussy parents, explained the dishes we were trying and introduced us to foods we wouldn’t have ordinarily tried. He also took us to a couple of really cool spots for photo ops, some of the best photos on our holiday (thanks Steve, our personal photographer too!). We had requested a food tour focused on authentic local cuisine and street food that the locals eat here. I am a foodie and amateur cook myself, having lived and worked on three continents – most recently for three years in China. My interest always lies in the true local cuisines of ordinary people. I had not yet experienced Malaysian cuisine firsthand. Through Siddoz, we learned more about this cuisine in one evening than we could have on our own in a week. Siddoz guided us to some good food which was a useful introduction to Malaysian cuisine. He spent quite a lot of time on his phone so there wasn't a lot of interaction between us but he knew his way around the best food stalls which was really what we were interested in! Would definitely recommend the tour.Good food tour
