We had a fantastic food tour with Voula last week. We were so happy that we decided on a private tour and that we picked Voula as our guide. We enjoyed it from start to finish, and it felt more like exploring authentic Athens with a friend than a guide. The places she took us to were all amazing, and she is very knowledgeable about both the food culture and the history of Athens. Other guides can – understandably – seem like they are just delivering a memorized monologue for the 100th time. With Voula, we did not feel that way, and she was very interested in engaging with us and answering all our stupid questions. We had a fabulous time on our food tour with Voula. She is so lovely we really enjoyed her company. She took us to some amazing little food places in parts of Athens we would never had visited. The souvlaki was to die for and all of the food at the Taverna was delicious! The spicy feta dish and the pork dish were standouts! We were so full and extremely satisfied after our tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the Athens Food Tour. Our guide, Makram, made the experience great. He was friendly and gave us new information about Athens and its history. He was very responsive to our wants for the tour, and he took us to places we would not have found on our own (especially our last stop of the evening). When we decided to walk back to our hotel at the end of the night, Makram made sure we knew how to get there before we parted. We had the most incredible food tour in Athens, all thanks to our phenomenal guide, Voula. From the moment we met her, it felt like we were being shown around by a local friend who knows all the best hidden gems. Her passion for Greek food and culture was contagious, and every stop on the tour was a delight. The Nutella donuts were out of this world — warm, gooey, and absolutely addictive. The visit to the honey store was both delicious and educational; we never knew honey could be that complex and flavorful! The meat market gave us a fascinating peek into daily Athenian life, and Voula brought it to life with stories and insider knowledge. One of our favorite moments was the little shop she took us to, where we tried an incredible variety of feta-based dishes — each one better than the last! We never would have found a place like that on our own. Voula made the experience feel personal, authentic, and truly local. This was so much more than a food tour — it was a cultural deep dive and a highlight of our trip. We can’t recommend her (and this tour) enough! A must do in Athens! My daughter and I thought that a food tour might be a good idea to explore Athens with someone who could guide us away from all the touristy restaurants and show us some hidden gems. It couldn't have been more fabulous - Irini is so lovely - funny, clever, chatty, loves Athens and is so friendly. Super company and happily chatted away with both my daughter and I throughout the tour about anything and everything - not just the incredible food in places we would never have found nor dreamed of trying. Our food tour with Irini was amazing. We stopped at a bunch of excellent places with a great variety of local food. Our first stop was a "test" so she could guage what we liked and she adjusted our route based on that. Irini is a great guide - very personable, easy to talk to and fun to be around. We had an awesome experience with Dimitris. He is relaxed, yet very well organized, he cared about making sure we were enjoying ourselves. He brought us to places we would have never found on our own, off the beaten tourist path. He made sure we discovered the best authentic Greek food, and we had plenty to eat! At the same time, we learned about the culture and customs of local people. He was very attentive to our needs and was able to answer all the questions we had. Highly recommended!! We travel many times a year and often do a food tasting tour the first day. This was the worst food tour we have ever experienced. The food we tasted was incredibly unimaginative (for example: a package of oregano and a package of bread sticks from a supermarket as two of the tastings!) Evanthia did not seem to have any real knowledge of Greek food, nor did she take us anywhere to taste any interesting local cuisine, except 2 pieces of filo pie we shared between the 5 of us. I DO NOT recommend a food tour with Evanthia. We were hugely underwhelmed.Disappointing food tour with Evanthia

Voula was wonderful. So friendly and knowledgeable. She showed us some historical ruins, talked about Greek culture as well as an incredible food tour. We hit many local eateries, a honey producer, went to the fresh market, tasted fresh nuts and olives as well as raki. Had an awesome meze lunch and finished off at another venue where we had Greek 'donuts.' Great value. I'd highly recommend Voula. Exceptional food tour in Athens

Having a knowledgeable guide choosing which shops to try various dishes makes such a difference. Not everything was to our taste, but we could tell that we were getting quality offerings. We had considered sampling food in Athens on our own, but having Georgia guide us to the best places made sure we knew that if we didn't like something, it was because of personal preference and not due to a poor quality product.Where food is sampled matters

Our group of 8 had a fantastic early evening food walking tour with Georgia. Plenty of food and drink and lots of laughs. Georgia was passionate and very knowledgeable about the Athens food scene. She also provided us an extensive list of neighborhoods and restaurants off the beaten path. Her dinner recommendation in the Petrlona neighborhood was the best meal we had in Athens. There were 9 of us with Yorgos. Some have never done this type of tour before. He was super accommodating with such a large group. Yorgos gave us a meeting spot within walking distance of our hotel and it was super easy to find. We had SOOOOO much food. Everything was fantastic. Some small bites and then we sat down at a restaurant and had a feast!!! We learned the history of the food and tried so many different things. I would recommend this 100% but probably do less than 9 people lol was a bit harder to find places to sit with that many. What a fun experience!

What a fun few hours we had as Irini took us around Athens and showed us some hidden gems. We did a great cheese and meat tasting, visited a spice shop and the central market, went to a hole in the wall we'd never have noticed for dinner and finished up with some loukamades. Irini was indefatigable and we had a great time chatting with her. She is so friendly and it was clear she had really great relationships with the people we encountered on the tour.
