I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Withlocals. I had booked the "10 Tastes of London" tour well in advance, looking forward to a unique culinary exploration of the city. Unfortunately, our tour guide did not show up and did not bother to call or notify us. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable, especially for a service that requires careful planning and anticipation. I hope Withlocals takes steps to ensure this does not happen to other customers in the future.We got stood up. No show - no call

There is no better way to experience culture than through food. Anthony does an amazing job, bringing enthusiasm, excitement, and history to a fast-paced deep dive into real London. there is so much more to this tour than just food. The sites surrounding the area are so impressive. It’s worth going just for that. But the food is absolutely outstanding. My recommendation is to let Anthony pick his favorite places. I never thought that I would try the food that I did but I absolutely loved all of it. do yourself a favor and take this tour. Best tour in London

We had a group of 7 and our guide Maria Clara was a delight. Very communicative and knowledgeable. My problem with the tour was the expense. Basically we paid approximately $100 per person for 10 tastes. I didn’t realize we were going to Borough Market where, as tourists, we visited a few days prior. Had I known, we would have skipped our earlier stop. However she did introduce us to some new spots. But what we tasted was not worth the $700 we paid. I know there are other expenses but just not worth that kind of money. Skip this, do a little research, and go on your own. Great guide but…

We did a private tour with Anthony (me and 2 tween sons) and it was fabulous! My boys are hard to please and Anthony tailored it to their attention spans and tastes. We tried wonderful food and even the boys were willing to go outside their comfort zones. And then we walked around and learned a ton. The stories were interesting and probably shorter than with all adults (which was greatly appreciated). My boys raved about it afterwards when not even prompted. We loved the private aspect so that again it could be tailored to our wants and much younger attention spans. Highly recommend. Anthony was lovely and knowledgeable. Anthony was awesome! We would have never known anything about a food market and it wasn't like our local farmer's markets in the states. There had to be at least 300 vendors to choose from and so much variety. Anthony got some general information from us regarding our likes/dislikes and off we went into a bustling world off food trucks and stands. He jumps the line and gets you a great variety of tastes and textures for the money. My husband went back the next day on his own while I was at afternoon tea.Yum!!

I booked this tour with Anthony for myself, my husband and our college age son and we were all so happy we did. We loved the personal aspect of the tour being just us and not a large group. Anthony was a wonderful guide who was knowledgeable and lots of fun. He showed us all of the sites, made sure we got great pictures along the way, and told many interesting London tales. Wir waren mit Anthony unterwegs südlich von London Bridge, in einer sehr interessanten Gegend, die abseits der Hauptsehehnswürdigkeiten liegt. Der Borough Market bietet erstklasige Produkte aus der ganzen Welt. Auf unserer Tour sollten wir 10 Kostproben bekommen. Nach 6 haben wir aufgegeben, weil wir beim besten Willen nichts mehr essen konnten. Wir empfehlen diese Tour allen, die gern und gut essen und auch mal was anderes ausprobieren mögen.Großartiger Markt, interessante Gegend

Het was werkelijk genieten en hoefden de rest van de dag weinig meer te eten. We gaan niet omschrijven wat we allemaal geproefd hebben, dat moet je gewoon ervaren! Sorcha went above and beyond our expectations. The 10 tastings of London tour was so much fun and we learned a lot about the local foods. Even better then the food was Sorcha herself. Within a few minutes she felt like a family member or best friend taking us through the Borough Market and beyond. We wish we could have spent our entire time in London with her. She even invited us back to her home where she offered to make scones for us and taste her favourite Irish whiskey’s. Leonardo was not only very informative with respect to the food but also about historical points in London and very knowledgeable about the royal family. About Anthony: We were two people having a food tour with Anthony, and we had a blast! Anthony picked out a lot of good food for us to try, and in the same time he showed us around and talked about the history. Anthony is a very kind and fun guide to have. It was like hanging out with a friend! Recommend him to everyone! About the food tour: I have been to many food tour around the world, and this is one of the best I have been to. I did not know what to expect in London. We went to Borough Market who has everything from all over the world, and lot of the stuff was fusion or with a "english twist". For example we didn't eat Fish and Ships (but was recommended the best one in London), but rather a extremely good fusion fish wrap from a stand in the marked. Superb!Fun and informative

Anthony led us on a personal and customized food and history tour of Southwark, the Thames and Borough Market, asking us questions along the way about our preferences. An excellent day and tour. He got us through the crowded market to food stalls for tasty mushroom risotto, fine fish and chips, other delights, and a dessert of crumbled cookie, diced apples and custard. We ended the tour at a pub for the FA Final on television. Going inside the Southwark Cathedral was a quiet respite from the hustle and bustle just outside. Thanks, Anthony. A day in Southwark

We had the most delightful time on our food tour with Sorcha. She completely tailored our experience to suit our needs and my accommodate my food allergy. She’s an incredible story teller as well and gave us an entertaining and informative history of London and all the vendors we visited. Conversation and laughter flowed easily, and when we were done she gave us great suggestions for other local “must see” spots about town (which we visited directly and were not disappointed). I can’t recommend her enough, we are so glad we booked this journey and shared our day with her!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! :) A fantastic day!!

Ruya was a wonderful guide. She took us to a market where we tried several different types of foods and there were many stalls with vendors if you wanted to shop. We also did a street art tour with her and she was very knowledgeable about the street artists and locations where we could see many different artists work. A very pleasant couple of hours. It was a cold humid day in December when we met Khin and we we were warmed up immediately by her kindness and by the sites she brought us to. First, unfortunately, we were over 30 minutes late (wrong direction on the tube) and Khin was understanding and managed to still do all the tastings planned on the tour. She was able to adapt some allergies we had and substituted when necessary. She made us taste delicious foods and accompanied it with delightful explanation about their origins. Would recommend absolutely; when possible, start the tour as early as you can so as to avoid crowds Elizabeth and BeccaFrozen delight

This review is long over due. My mother and I had a lovely time during our local food tour hosted by Paul. The great thing about this company is that it focuses on giving you a more intimate look through the eyes of a local. I must admit Paul was an amazing local guide. I go on a lot of food tours and I can say Paul was thorough, personable, comedic, friendly, and professional. Not only did we go to one of the most famous food markets in London (Can’t tell you guys where. Find out yourself), but we looked at some pretty cool landmarks and was given tips on other places to venture when we come visit London again. If you need a great guide choose Paul. He was awesome! Nick ist ein wirklich herzlicher Londoner. Er hat uns viele schöne Geschichten erzählt und uns an spannende Orte gebracht Und den Plan halbwegs ordentlich abgearbeitet. Ein bisschen Fudge 🍫 hätte ich schon gerne gehabt. Dennoch könnte ich mir das ein oder andere noch vorstellen: Vorbereitung gründlicher machen, denn zwei Läden waren geschlossen. Erfrischungstücher sind sehr hilfreich und in anderen Touren üblich. Gepflegte Hände beim Essenservieren sind auch schön. Der Treffpunkt war für uns schwierig und nur über Chat zu finden. Für das Gebotene war der Preis einfach zu hoch!Netter Guide, aber Luft nach oben

Leonardo is Italian, but he loves London, and his passion shows through. He took us on a tour or the area around London Bridge, the Borough Market, and along the Thames river. He is very knowledgeable but he was quick at discerning what was interesting for us, and made the whole three hours very enjoyable. Looking at London and its food, from an objective (Italian) standpoint, was wonderful. I thought British food would be boring but the tour selects out the best of quintessentially British items to try. Thankfully, there was no blood sausage and no haggis. For the food alone, its value for money. Leonardo's observations make for a great tour. We walked about 4km during the afternoon, all flat.London 10 tastings food tour

Had a great time with Nick on my Wife's birthday. We wished that we had him sooner in our trip but life happens and he was really good about the change. Wir hatten eine superschöne Zeit. Die gebuchte Tour übertraf unsere Erwartungen. Mandy hat die Tour vor Ort unseren Wünschen gemäss individuell angepasst. (Danke Mandy, dass wir keine Austern probieren mussten....) Es war eine gelungene Mischung aus historischen Fakten und britischem Essen ,das wir gleich vor Ort geniessen durften. Da Mandy aus Deutschland kommt, profitierten wir umsomehr,da es keine Verständigungsprobleme gab. (Unser Wortschatz ist nicht mehr der Beste). Die Zeit verging wie im Flug, wir hätten noch weiter machen können ,allerdings ohne weiter zu essen, denn man wird ja echt satt. Eine schöne Idee war auch uns Käse ( Tipp von Mandy: Lincolnshire poacher(mmh,yummi ) und fudge als Kostproben mitzugeben, so hatten wir noch etwas, dass wir später geniessen konnten. Nochmals vielen Dank an Mandy für diesen tollen Vormittag. British food at its best
