My wife and I spent 3 great hours with Chris on the local history tour that began at St Paul's Cathedral. This man is a wealth of information about all things historical in London. I was only in London for about 36 hours and really wanted to maximize my time in the city, and this tour couldn't have been a better choice. Andreea is friendly but reserved, knowledgeable yet not intimidating and walking with her is a refreshing, pleasant experience. The choice of landmarks is just right to pique the interest of everyone in the family. David was an excellent guide for us in this sunny, but cold November day. Although some of us had been to London numerous times,everything we saw and learned about was new to us. David has an impressive knowledge of architecture and history, and also with regards to the history related to popular culture over the decades. Chris was polite and easy company during our tour. He demonstrated his proclaimed local historian credentials commendably. Although the 'free snack or drink' didn't materialise (except for Chris .. we paid ) it was after two other walking tours in Lucerne and Milan that we felt more underwhelmed than at the time by this experience. We spent a wonderful morning with Tom exploring the hidden gems of London. Unfortunately, he was at a disadvantage (our fault) because his tour was our 4th in four days. I had the pleasure of doing a 3 hour walking tour with David over the weekend and it was the highlight of my trip to London! David was extremely easy to talk to & showed me all around London while explaining the city’s history in a way that was easy to understand and retain (as an American my knowledge was very limited.) Wir waren zum ersten Mal in London, hatten schon das eine oder andere auf eigene Faust gesehen und wollten mit Chris noch etwas mehr über London erfahren. Er hat sich ganz nach unseren Wünschen gerichtet und uns von Westminster über die White Hall Road zum Trafalgar Square geführt. Er gab uns Einblicke in die Geschichte Londons, erzählte uns über die Geschäfte in der Jermyn Street, wo u.a. auch die Royals einkaufen und zum Abschluss führte er uns in ein sehr schönes Pub. Chris ist sehr sympathisch und engagiert. Man merkt ihm an, dass ihm diese Tätigkeit Spaß macht und er mit Herzblut dabei ist. Er hat uns so manches erzählt, was man nicht im Reiseführer liest. Im Vorfeld unseres Treffens haben wir mit ihm kommuniziert und er hat sich dann Gedanken gemacht, was er uns noch alles zeigen könnte. Wenn wir wieder einmal nach London reisen, werden wir Chris sehr gerne wieder buchen. Wir wünschen ihm weiterhin viel Freude bei seiner Tätigkeit als "Private Guide". Anthony was wonderful! I was on a short timeline as I was on an 8 hr layover in between flights. Anthony helped me with advice on navigating to the city from the airport. Once there we crammed in a LOT in a short amount of time as we explored the sites. He’s a wealth of knowledge, takes great pictures, knows the best food spots and was fun to hang out with.
