We had a wonderful personalized tour! We covered many topics including the general history, social history, recreational marijuana and psychedelic truffle history and legalization. He took us to pubs and little eateries to try the local herring, hot food dispensers, and local shops that were perfect for our tastes. I had contacted Otto with the request to see more of the less touristic side of Amsterdam. He was very knowledgeable concerning the red-light and coffee shop scene in the center of Amsterdam as well as in the Jordaan district where we held our tour. We really enjoyed hearing his insights and stories. As we wandered the streets we also had the extra treat of seeing everyone getting on their ice skates and taking to the freshly frozen canals. As we learned, this isn't something that occurs very often. Our alternative tour turned out great

So my son had an amazing experience with host Otto exploring the coffee house culture and walking the non-touristy parts of the city centre. I was studying abroad last semester and went on a tour with Otto while I was in Amsterdam. Although my time there was short, it was made much more memorable because of my tour with him! I had a really wonderful time with Otto! Being with a local, one on one, was a really great way to ease into a new city and experience a new culture that I was otherwise kind of nervous about being immersed in (specifically the red light district). Otto was super informative about pointing out tourist traps and coffee shops where he himself goes, fun facts/anecdotes particular to the area we were in, and some that were more broadly about The Netherlands. Our meeting place was super central, though I took our meeting instructions quite literally, which led to confusion about where I was in relation to Otto. Because of this, I’d REALLY recommend the person doing the tour to have a way to communicate w Otto (or really everyone while you’re overseas): even though I was connected to the cell network, I wasn’t able to send or receive calls or texts for instance. Thanks Otto! I had a lot of fun with you! :)Great tour, great dude

First I should state that both my husband and I have been to Amsterdam multiple times and we were looking for more of an "off of the beaten path tour". What to say about Otto......if Amsterdam were a man, Otto would be him! Hip, funny, friendly, full of knowledge and goes the extra mile. His coffee shop/RLD tour is varied and interesting and he shows lots of cool spots to check out. Been relative newbies he went the extra mile to roll for us and any leftovers to take away with us. He made the tour interesting and involving and was able to answer any questions we had. We liked Otto very much. In a single word, this guy has PERSONALITY. He is fun and engaging, without being pushy. He makes you feel welcome and comfortable, and clearly can adapt his tour to suit your interests. Want a history lesson and trivia? He is your man. Want to see the Red Light districts? He is your man. Want to see coffee shops and what they have to offer? He is your man. Scratch that. He isn’t your man. He’s just THE MAN. PERIOD! He is popular, and has friends all over the city, and spending time with him was the highlight of my time in Amsterdam. I highly recommend him to you. My husband and I booked with Otto as we wanted an alternative tour of Amsterdam off the beaten track and just the two of us, as I can't walk far or fast and didn't want to slow a group up. We originally had to cancel our plans due to illness, and then change again due to storms - Otto was flexible and accommodating. The tour itself was really interesting, Otto has lots of knowledge and made it really interesting. Myself and my partner met Otto for a tour of his favourite coffee shops. He met us on time at the pre arranged spot and was very friendly and enthusiastic straight from the offset. He asked if our tour was to include indulgence and we both hastily said yes please. The coffee shop Otto took us to was great and so was there produce. Then it was off to a cannabis museum and a truffle shop before we parted company. Otto was extremely friendly and gave us an insight into the workings and laws involved with amsterdams cannabis culture. It was great to get a Dutch perspective and we would both highly reccomend any one taking this tour. Only grievance is that it was over too quickly could have easily spent the rest of the day chatting. And Otto smoke more man !!If you want to be in the know go find Otto

Otto took our group of 6 on a tour around the red light area with a few bars and a smart shop thrown in for good measure. Despite our horrendous hangovers the tour we great fun and informative.
