Rosa kept even the most skeptical of us entertained and delighted. My husband and I recently booked the guided tour of the British Museum with Rosa and she did an incredible job making sure we got the absolute most out of our time there. It's a *huge* collection, but Rosa navigated us from room to room pointing out the must-sees and telling us their stories with humor, history, and impressive speed. We learned so much and our eyes were basically buzzing with the beauty they'd taken in over the course of our tour. Rosa is a wealth of knowledge, but also finely tuned to making sure the pace suited us, that the tour reflected our interests and our needs, and that we felt we were free to ask any or everything we wanted to about what we were seeing, the controversies around the British Museum, our curiosities about civilizations, religions, mythologies, and more. Our tour at the British museum with Rosa wa wonderful. Her knowledge was exceeded by her charm. She took us through her favorites with the background that enlightened our trip. Her disappointment at the closed Parthenon exhibit was touching but with he guidance the tour remained top notch. She contacted us the following day when the exhibit reopened and offered to meet us there. Unfortunately we were on the wrong side of town. We recommend wholeheartedly Wonderful afternoon

Rosa was the tour guide for our British Museum tour and it was an amazing experience! She engaged my teenage son and he was so interested in the museum for hours! As a family, we usually book a private tour guide when we travel as it helps to maximize the time. In our many private guide experiences, Rosa is top notch! To say Rosa's tour of the British Museum was informative is an understatement. It felt like a tour with your favorite professor! My husband and I hired Maria to guide us through the National At Gallery during the Van Gogh exhibit and also the next day at the British Museum. She brought the history and the stories of the paintings and artists alive with her great depth and breadth of knowledge. We told her what we were interested in and she curated a tour just for our interests. She was a wonderful story teller with her knowledge of the various cultures, especially in the British Museum. We so enjoyed Maria and her charming personality, that we will definitely reserve her guidance when we return to London for another great holiday of museums and galleries. Spectacular Art Historian!

Rosa is an Oracle (minus the sulphur!). She brought all the unassuming structures to life and pointed out many interesting "Fun Facts". We could have easily booked a few days with Rosa - time flew by and 3 days later, we are still talking about what we learned. Just returned home after a trip to London, where the fantastic Rosa, took us and, all her passion around The British Museum! We genuinely would have read the first 4 things we saw in each area, missed all the most interesting stuff, got tired then left. Rosa knew her way around, the Staff there knew Rosa, which was important. She smoothed entry past all the mile long queues, then kept us enthralled for hours! It was pure education, not just about what we saw but, it’s relevance in the grander scheme of things. Rosa was a wonderful guide and very knowledgeable. She was easy to communicate with ahead of time to arrange our meetup. She accommodated the tour to our group's preferences, went at an easy pace, and even made time for a coffee break between exhibits. I mentioned to her ahead of time that my father is hard of hearing, and she went out of her way to accommodate. Rosa is clearly passionate about the arts and has a great sense of humor. Rosa was great and very flexible. We learned a lot about the pieces in the museum. One person in our party had mobility issues and she was very helpful with that. We would never have learned so much on our own. The museum is so huge that we only saw a small part of it - hope to do more with Rosa if we ever visit London again!Fascinating tour!!

Rosa was a gift to our family of four during our tour of the British Museum. With her background as an art historian- and specifically in the Greek and Roman areas- she provided a depth of insight far beyond what we could have done on our own. We were lucky to have hired Rosa who was our tour guide at the British Museum. Our group of 4 had all been there previously but never with a guide. I can’t tell you what a different it makes to have someone knowledgeable who can take you around the museum. We never would have spent time for example in the Assyrian section but Rosa was so informative about the history and also pointing out the details of the art. It turned out to be a highlight of the museum! She took us to all the important parts and we covered a huge portion of the museum. What a wonderful day and I can’t recommend her enough if you are looking for a guide!Great day at the British Museum

This was my first time visiting the British Museum, and despite the enormous crowds both outside and inside the Museum, Rosa put me entirely at ease as she confidently fast-laned us in and showed us the quiet(er) corners that existed even in the busiest rooms, where she began to take us through the Museum's most prominent highlights. I was totally blown away not just by her expert knowledge as an art historian, but also her passion for her chosen subject(s) - incredible to witness in locations such as the magnificent and very moving Assyrian Royal Lion Hunt panels. Bear in mind that you won't see everything in the British Museum - that would be physically impossible - but with Rosa, you'll spend a gloriously enriching couple of hours looking at some of its most famous, fascinating, and thought-provoking collections. I really must give Rosa credit for being such a kind, thoughtful, and personable guide - not just because she very patiently structured our tour around my elderly mother, who occasionally needed to sit down and/or take a break, but also due to the fact that she was willing to shift our tour a day later than scheduled when my father unexpectedly came down with what we initially suspected was Covid (it wasn't, thankfully). Rosa was so understanding, warm, and helpful - my mother had nothing but good things to say about her during and after our tour, and I can certainly say the same.

We were fortunate enough to have found Rosa on With Locals four our tour of the British Museum. We were a family of 4 with two teenage daughters. Communicating with Rosa was very easy prior to our trip. She responded to each and every message promptly. She kindly arranged a convenient meeting place at the Starbucks across the street from the museum. We all found Rosa to not only supremely knowledgeable, but warm, kind, amazingly considerate, and funny too! She kept our two kids entertained and engaged throughout the entire tour. We managed to run over our allotted time but Rosa made sure to immediately let us now that she wasn’t a “clock-watcher” and wouldn’t be charging us for the extra time. I simply can’t recommend Rosa enough. She’s an 11/10. I highly recommend you book her for the British Museum tour or for that matter any other tour she offers.
